This is a (not very serious) question, not an idea, but why is "Vehicon" a higher rank than "Fuzor" on the post count scale?

yeah. actually i hate fuzors, but that's not the point.
It would be nice if once we reached a certain rank we could choose from all the ones we have been through.

I feel like being able to choose your rank from your previous ones would defeat the purpose of a rank system. However, what if you could choose from a "rank set"? In other words, there would be a few titles within a certain post range that you could choose from. For example, if you have between 0-500 posts, you could choose from Minibot, Micromaster, Fuzor, Vehicon, etc., and between 501-1000 you could pick from a new set. There'd still be an overall sense of rank, but it wouldn't be completely restricting. However, it would be harder to reach a new "rank set" depending on how wide the post count ranges are.

And yes, I am aware how much thought I'm putting into something that's just for fun anyway.

Also, I noticed that it's now required to pick a favorite TF character and figure when you edit your profile/sign up. While it's a fun idea, is it necessary for it to be mandatory? I'd rather not have to pick just one, and I bet some people would rather not have that on their profile.

Sadly this is for spambot prevention. We certainly aren't going to step out of the direction we're heading with that.

I spent a good deal of time typing up a thoughtful response, but I somehow got logged off (not my doing as I'm set to always be logged in) and was prompted to log back in, and upon doing so it wiped out the whole post. WTF?

it happens to me, aswell as (whoever this is) here, and is really annoying.
normally its okay, sometimes you wont be logged in when you go on, and someimes if your internet dies you get logged off.
REALLY ANNOYING.

No kidding!

I left it up overnight for a really important post, and the next morning when I posted, it logged me off, and it completely deleted my post, so I had to start from scratch.

Why should I? that Gyrotron idiot won't stop sending me warnings and hes not even an admin or moderator. You all hate me so whats the point? You people have no sense of humor, I posted a thread about how I thought it was lucky that the weapon was basically out of the packaging.
