Also, does anyone else feel like their looking at an advertisement for the Hub when they see the insignia on the new Rid figures? Something about it is just...weird to me.

If you mean the ring around the , that's for the App. My guess is it functions similarly to a QR-Code.

There's an app? Must have missed that part of the info known thus far, but it's not really of much consequence to me. I have a very unintelligent tracfone, and I barely turn it on anyway.

I think it only works with the symbol found on the box, not on the toy.

An app?A creative idea to use symbols on boxes.Oh,I am weirded out by this RID Grimlock.
Notice the asymmetry on his legs? Both Tyrannosaur arms hang on the right leg and make it look weird. The left leg is better.

Actually, I LOVED that asymetry the moment they showed that prototype pic. It would be another grimlock where the feet are not formed by the tail (unlike G1, Masterpiece, Animated, AOE Voyager and Generations). I would have preferred the jaws to make the feet though. That aside, its too bad that its only a 3 step changer and not a more complex figure. There doesnt seem to ba any articulation on the arms (dinosaur legs) and thats really too bad.

The "ring code" on the packaging earns you some in-game currency, the code on the actual figure unlocks that character to use in-game for about a day, then you have to scan it again the next day. Warrior Grimlock figure unlocks Warrior Grimlock in-game character, same for legion, etc. They seem to be adding in-game characters as the figures get released.
Easy cheat: You don't have to have the figure, a decent picture or video still of the "ring code" on another device/screen is scan-able also.
I like both RiD Grimlock's robot modes. The original (2001?) can be posed kind of like a scorpion in robot mode. The 2015 looks much better in robot mode than dino, except for the non-pose-able elbows due to defective joints on many.

He lies somewhere in between TFA Bulkhead and G1 Grimlock. Tough, generally good natured, and dumb as a post.
Prime Bulkhead was a big tough guy, but not a big DUMB tough guy.

Welcome to Seibertron! TFP Bulkhead was better than TFA Bulkhead
