Group Project Alt Bumblebee? Yeah thread needs to be moved

this becomes a group project in that if i'm
going to do this i'm gonna make this diecast
model into a plastic one.

after starting with trying to build BT's i've found making plastic
Alts far far easier, the plastic is far more forgiving. i'm gonna
buy 9 lbs of maritime RTV molding to cast all of the various parts in

what i plan on is gutting the current car of all non essential parts, then
epoxy in all the necessary mounting points to screw in the parts, then
mold and produce that shell. at that point it is essentially a BB ALT kit
that needs to be finished/shelled and painted. the cost is going to be
rather steep for one person, but with a few of us, not so bad

if no one wants to go in, i'll still make a few kits and they can be purchased, but i think the group project will be better

so what do you think?

im up for the group project, i have 2 nearly done myself but need something to push me along to assemble them,

also like the idea about making an alt bb kit, but i think everyone wants to assemble there own in differant ways but it culd work i guess,
another thign is a 1.24 vw kit can cost about $10 some times and im guessing a resin one would cost atleast 50-60,
but if you could make one to reshell jazz or another alt they would be awsome

yeah, i guess basically it could be a shell with the
hard points molded into it.
no more problems with attaching winged doors
hard points for the front and back wheels,
roof attachments etc.

i've got two plastic kits i wanted to "prototype" with along with my
experience from the metal one. that, along with your experience on
both your BB's, this could turn out pretty awesome

honestly i don't think the kit will cost that much
i mean to make up full cost of the kit..yeah it may
if we're not looking for that well then it isn't so bad

im sure we could work out some cheap materials for a kit if you think the shell woulldnt be too much, maybe packing in some styrene and then they could buy an alt smokescreen or jass to get the hands and joints from

the second alt BB im doing has some new mods from the first one hopefuly by the third it should be near enough perfect :/

im also making a cast of the WW bumblebee that Jd was going to make, so that might be another option for an alt BB head

if possible you should pm me what your other ones look like...i'd love to see them. i think a jazz or smokescreen body would be very easy to do.

obviously i like my version of transformation....easier on me, but it could
easily be done any other way.

the statue head...fits better than i even imagined on the wide body.
it looks a little big on the standard beetle, on the wide body it's perfect.
i'll take a pic for you tonight.

wierd to think that little bumblebee will be bigger than many of his alternator brethren. Your right though, it is a really good fit.

he's lookign awsoem already , i think you can get awayw itht he slighty big head as he had a pritty big helmet anyway, but could always sand it down on the sides

yeah i plan to sand the head down, when you fit it in the engine
compartment, it looks even smaller (the head is in front of the body
right now - only way i could take the pic)
and
if you shorten the throw on the legs and
make the upper torso fold over more of the "body" then
he'll be smaller than the rest...just a helluva lot wider!

sides (and this is one of my beefs with alt/bt customizations),

if you had the chance to be reformatted/changed, would you
pick to have the same inadequacies that you have now? or would
you take the chance to fix them. probably the latter.

truth is, yeah they made you who you are, and how you percieve
things but if you changed them now, it doesn't change your outlook/perspective
/maniacal tendencies :twisted: , at this point
those have been bred into you, soooooo i think chances are
that Transformers would change the things they don't like about themselves.
in my own little universe........(and that's all that exists :lol: )

Bumblebee would make himself bigger...maybe not too different,
but bigger and stronger

Trailbreaker would probably make himself more fuel efficient -
maybe slightly smaller

Kup - would be back to his hot rodding form and younger
days...if the guy's got it upstairs a younger body would be
damn scary.

Same for Ironhide....
you've been a Personal Bodyguard and Head of Security for so long
chances are you gonna take on a larger/stronger/more fortified form.
As long as it's newer...that works. he's not unhappy with what he has, just needs it newer.
