Awesome figure, rubbish paint apps. Not that they're messy - they're just wrong. Also, people complain about him only only having one hand so I fixed that and separated his index fingers from the others on his left hand.

Very nice, especially the weathering / battle scars effect! Really makes it seem more real.

Great weathering work! Have you considered doing the leg mod for HA BB to get a more movie accurate look?

I have considered it but although some people do it to move the wheels to the outside they should actually be inside the ankle. Also, the yellow parts seen on the outside of my repaint's lower leg would be on the inside. I think those details are more important than a wheel.

Is it still transformable after that mod?

I believe it is still transformable with an extra couple of steps, which consist mainly of rotating the legs, I think.

I've been contemplating on getting HA BB because it looks like a great figure even without a great paint job like yours.

If you buy figures for their pose-ability you won't regret it!

Love the paint job! What kind of paint did you use? I bought a HA Bee yesterday and I painted all the metal parts, but now I feel like I have to do the WHOLE toy so it can be good as good as yours. Although I think I want to get some yellow enamel paint and redo the car and make it look new and shiny. I hate that plastic look.

Anyways I REALLY REALLY recommend the mod. I almost didn't buy this figure because of the way the legs looked. If you look at some of the detail from movie Bumblebee, it fits better switched.



Also the upper leg guards are more accurate in the flipped version as well. The tire hub is supposed to face towards the outside, and not the inside like it comes in toy. My pic didn't come through showing that so no pic sorry.

It looks like the prototype was originally switched which is why I think it looks better.


The toy transforms just fine with the switch.

Sorry to argue against you, but what you did looks so awesome, and I think the legs look so stupid that way.

I still disagree. The wheel looks better on the outside so I agree with that part but the part you circled on the bot is not a representation of the silver part in the other picture but a yellow car part on the outside. You can see it clearly in the part where Sam tells Bee to get back in the garage in ROTF.

what exactly do you do in the leg mod? how is it done? i was thinking about doing it.
