Not to turn this into a discussion on Metroid, but no. A single bolt of garden-variety lightning can be measured in megawatts, and those burn at upwards of 54,000 degrees Fahrenheit. You're suggesting that her basic power beam is over a million times more powerful than that. A single blast would not only kill whatever she aimed it at, but would burn the entire surrounding area into a big molten puddle, if not entirely igniting the entire atmosphere.
To be fair, Metroid blatantly defies physics, it's truly ridiculous. Blame the creators of Metroid for making such outrageous figures, I'm not the one suggesting this, they are. I'm just pointing out the in game facts and info I know. The description of the Volt Driver in Prime Hunters specifically states that it "fires multi-terrawatt bursts of energy". Considering she has stronger weapons than that, it becomes even more absurd. But it's fictional sci-fi, stuff like screwing phsyics over is common.
Forgive the off topic post...
I have no idea why you decided to bring Samus into this thread. Honestly, none. Perhaps you'd be best to pit her against some worthy foe in a thread of your own, hm?
I'd have to give this one to the Space Marine, regardless of Chapter. Johnny and his lot are tough, no doubt about it, but if anyone has read anything from the 40K universe involving Space Marines (which is kinda hard not to do when you think about it), they'd know just how formidable they are.
