The fact that is was Hotshot?
Maybe he's allergic to JaAm?
I definitely prefer jelly...

Is there anyone with this figure who can actually get his alt mode to hang together properly without thinking "Those doors aren't really sitting properly. Maybe if I could just get everything pressed together tighter..."?

Between the doors and the shoulders it's impossible to flip his hood down when transforming him without something falling off.

Instructions can be so unclear at times. That's when video reviews are your friend!

One wonder why the instant-transformation TFs are such a thing since AoE.

But the One-Steps did gain ground with AoE promoting the gimmick and diversifying the transformation methods.

Yeah, and each and everyone of them have a very "alien" robot form. From vehicle to robot, it's not too bad if you know what the robot is supposed to look like. However, from robot to vehicle, you must be a master at Transformers Origami. Especially without instructions!
I did Mixmaster lately and I only transformed it once from vehicle to robot more than a year ago. Let me tell you that figuring out how to put the bot back to vehicle was almost like a zen-like shaolin yoga-meditation!
