I got tired of the show a few years ago due to how lazy they've gotten with it. How many times did they cut away to Conway Twitty for several minutes, show an entire music video, or do the same joke over and over and over again? It's like they stopped putting forth any effort.

Or more recently when Peter was homeschooling the kids they showed the entire "Dancing in the Streets" music video by David Bowe and Mick Jagger. The first time they pulled that it was somewhat humurous because it was different, but then it just felt like they were padding the episode to make up for a lack of jokes or plot.

That's exactly what they're doing. MacFarlane is trying to get the show canceled. He wants it over with. Badly.

Yeah, I'm another fan adding voice to the "let it die" crowd.

The only thing I've been recently impressed with in the show was thepart when Brian got stoned, and the animation sequence was kinda spiffy.

American dad I've always been pretty "meh" about, and the Cleveland show I thought was rubbish anyway.
Something memorable here.

IMO FG has been dying a long, slow, painful death for ages. I really do think it's time to put it (and us) out of its misery.

still like it. It hasn't become stale to me just yet. I look forward to it every sunday. It would be a shame to see it go. Plus the crop of new cartoons they're sneaking in on the side isn't capturing my attention half as much as "the tired" Family Guy stuff.

I laugh out loud once or twice with every new episode which none of the others do.

It's not dead yet.

If that is the case, I believe it. Some segments lack humor entirely.

This week's episode has Brian and Stewie travling back to the pilot episode(Family Guy's third? time travel episode), so it has potential to be good.

I still think family guy is awesome. all the characters are in their zone & have great secenes & humor.

that season 10 quagmire episode with the sister was trully awesome. the irony is they were looking down on the sisters boyfriend for being a beater. but quagmire is literally thousands of times worse.

for those whob know quagmire & have seen how he treats his female dates, you know what i'm referring to. as far as quagmire treating women thousands of times worse than quagmire's sisters boyfriend.

I kinda want the dog to get more episodes. as he always gets great story episodes & he's got a unique awesome funny persona. the dog is my favorite family guy character on the show.

Seriously? Are you for real?

His sister's husband beat her, threatened to kill Joe and Peter, tried to kill Glen, and it was all played straight. If I want that, I'll go watch Wifetime or one of the fifty Law and Order clones.

I watch Family Guy for laughs. The stupid sight gags, Peter's cutaways, even the extended scenes from Hee-Haw (y'know, before they ran the joke into the ground).

This ep and the one where Brian and Stewie are trapped in the bank vault are perfect examples of why the show needs to be put down.

I've seen every single family guy episode dozens of times thanks to the cartoon network & also watching the episodes on-line.

Quaqmire is thousands of times worse than than quagmire's sister's boy friend that's is a beater.

Here's a short list of quagmire's negatives: (1) Quagmire & clevlands wife were intimate with each other. (2) Quagmire has a facination with girls who are under the age of 18. quagmire likes meg who is peter's youngest under age daughter. quagmire made a few in-appropate comments & advances towards meg. (3) Quagmire is a huge pervert & stalker. their was a episode where quagmire hid inside a women's bathroom stall & waited for peter's wife to enter,so he could see her naked. (4) Quagmire abuses women far greater than his sisters boyfriend does. their's more than dozens of episodes. that shows quagmire taking advantage of immigrant asian women. by luring them to his house. then tieing them up in his garage & car trunk. these asian women are usually Seen tied up,running for their lives, trying to escape & are dressed in their underwear & bra. (5) Quagmire likes to give sexual comments & advances on peter's wife. (6)Quagmire often steals his friends girl friends or wife & get intimate with them. brian got a few girl friends stolen by quagmire. (7) their were a few episodes where it was shown that quagmire accidentally killed his girl friends. (8)quagmire often engages in mild to heavy torture sexual behavior with his girl friends or frinds wives. (9)in a few episodes of family guy,it was revealed that Quagmire is a registered sex-offender(10)Quagmire likes to prey on un-concious women. usually when they drink to much alchol or do drugs. their were a few episodes that shown quagmire pushing alchol on a women. Qugmire was seen a few episodes slipping a drug in a few womens drinks in order to make them un-concious. after the women got un-concious,quagmire was seen dragging them away to his car or room.(11) the negative quagmire list can literally keep going on.

Not worse then a woman beater
(2) Quagmire has a facination with girls who are under the age of 18.

debatablely bad
quagmire likes meg who is peter's youngest under age daughter.

liking her is Not worse then a woman beater, she's hardly underage, shes about 18, 17 at the youngest, and he doesnt really like her.

quagmire made a few in-appropate comments & advances towards meg.

no more then twards other women, and either way its Not worse then a woman beater
(3) Quagmire is a huge pervert & stalker. their was a episode where quagmire hid inside a women's bathroom stall & waited for peter's wife to enter,so he could see her naked.

bad, but Not worse then a woman beater

you got one now
(5) Quagmire likes to give sexual comments & advances on peter's wife.

Not worse then a woman beater
(6)Quagmire often steals his friends girl friends or wife & get intimate with them. brian got a few girl friends stolen by quagmire.

Not worse then a woman beater, and I believe Quag only got 1 of Brains girls.

(7) their were a few episodes where it was shown that quagmire accidentally killed his girl friends.

I think your fudging the amount of times, and either way,Not worse then a woman beater.

(8)quagmire often engages in mild to heavy torture sexual behavior with his girl friends or frinds wives.

if they are willing, this is Not worse then a woman beater

(8)in a few episodes of family guy,it was revealed that Quagmire is a registered sex-offender

two 8's?and unless they reveal the level of offense this might be Not worse then a woman beater

one can be labeled a sex offender for taking a piss behind a dumpster.

I re-editted my reply to take away the extra (8) & number it correctly.

While I was re-editting,I added another one of Quagmires negatives. which is as follows: 10)Quagmire likes to prey on un-concious women. usually when they drink to much alchol or do drugs. their were a few episodes that shown quagmire pushing alchol on a women. Qugmire was seen a few episodes slipping a drug in a few womens drinks in order to make them un-concious. after the women got un-concious,quagmire was seen dragging them away to his car or room.

So add up all of Quagmire's negatives & he's worse than a girl friend beater.

BTW,by my standards, quagmire is worse than a girlfriend beater. because quagmire was shown in a few episodes accidentally killing some of his girlfriends than making jokes about it later on. or having a joking attitude against about it.

ON the original Topic, the show hasn't run it's full course but I can't see it lasting more than another season. It's biggest problem is that it's a show where random humor and cutaways are expected. But when the viewers expect randomness (someone please find me a better phrasing for that), it takes away from the effectiveness of the joke because you see it coming.

I was a huge fan, but American Dad surprisingly has become the better show. Still can't get into the Cleveland show though.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

sorry, but even with the added info, you really dont have anything thats WORSE then a woman beater....just as bad, yes but not really worse.

again, I think your fudging the numbers.

if I'm right, that only happened 1 time and either way, an accident is an accident.....and its not worse then deliberately beating a woman.

Bully for you. I stopped actively watching a year or so ago, mostly in response to the "420", "Dog Gone", and "Brian & Stewie" episodes. That said, I will watch the good episodes on TBS and CN.

Quaqmire is thousands of times worse than than quagmire's sister's boy friend that's is a beater.

Well, that's your opinion, and you're more than welcome to it, but you're wrong.

Here's a short list of quagmire's negatives: (1) Quagmire & clevlands wife were intimate with each other.

Which she initiated, and he felt remorse for almost immediately. He also apologized to Cleveland.

(2) Quagmire has a facination with girls who are under the age of 18. quagmire likes meg who is peter's youngest under age daughter. quagmire made a few in-appropate comments & advances towards meg.

Actually, he's asked her age on several occasions, and when she replies "17" he loses interest, quite abruptly as a matter of fact. He also turned down a chance to take advantage of her during her infatuation with Brian, instead trying to steer her right.

(3) Quagmire is a huge pervert & stalker. their was a episode where quagmire hid inside a women's bathroom stall & waited for peter's wife to enter,so he could see her naked.

Which was undeniably skeevy, though he did make amens, and was trying to stop before the story line petered out (pun intended).

Dozens? Care to name them all? I know it happened a couple times during the ep where Peter gets Glen fired, but it was done for laughs. There was no indications he was abusing those girls.

(5) Quagmire likes to give sexual comments & advances on peter's wife.

The only times he ever made a move was when he thought Peter and Lois were separated, when Peter was gay, and when Peter had amnesia. Otherwise... All guys make sexual comments about other guys' wives.

(6)Quagmire often steals his friends girl friends or wife & get intimate with them. brian got a few girl friends stolen by quagmire.

Yeah, he's a dick and a womanizer. No argument from me. Still, no where near as bad as wife/girlfriend beater.

(7) their were a few episodes where it was shown that quagmire accidentally killed his girl friends.

Name them. I can only remember when Death took his wife, and when his date to James Woods' house was killed. He had no hand in either death.

(8)quagmire often engages in mild to heavy torture sexual behavior with his girl friends or frinds wives.

He's into S&M/BDSM with willing partners. Still not a crime.

(9)in a few episodes of family guy,it was revealed that Quagmire is a registered sex-offender

Which was mentioned once, and never brought up again. Meanwhile, Herbert the pedophile walks (well, shuffles) free.

(10)Quagmire likes to prey on un-concious women. usually when they drink to much alchol or do drugs. their were a few episodes that shown quagmire pushing alchol on a women. Qugmire was seen a few episodes slipping a drug in a few womens drinks in order to make them un-concious. after the women got un-concious,quagmire was seen dragging them away to his car or room.

Okay, you got me on that one.

(11) the negative quagmire list can literally keep going on.

And nothing you find will be worse than battery, assault, and at least one case of attempted murder.

Similar things were shown in other episodes, and seriously, "no indications of abuse"?

Being tied up,nude in places like his trunk and grage and them fleeing for their lives is a STRONG indication of abuse.

Just finished watching tonight's set. Episodes like tonight's show that Family guy still has sparks of true genius. Granted, the dozens of time traveling duplicates bit isn't original (red vs blue had a pretty good take) but the presentation and resolution of it were over-the-top and just what we'd hoped. Self-referential humor about the cutaways was completely welcome, even if The 5-years-in-the-future bit seemed a bit too close to the mark.

On a side note, Loved tonight's american Dad. Roger's story was weak but Stan's need to be best man was tied up in a super-clever wrap-up that built on the running joke of the story while also tying up the necessary plot threads. Bravo to both shows tonight.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.
