I'm gonna laugh if it's just regular old Bot's with some little beast men figures that can ride inside, Beast Alliance!

if it is.. shouldn't that end all of the speculation?

or is that quote, itself, speculation?

probably fake as hell, but...I'd be interested.

Guys, that was from 1999/2000, when Beast Machines was still in development.

That was my first thought, but they are described in the trademark application as "toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms" The new Battle Beasts don't have any vehicles or transformations.

Yet...

From Wikipedia on the back in the day Battle Beasts:
In the Japanese market Takara branded the toys as a spin-off of Transformers and even named the toys "BeastFormers

As part of the Takara strategy, many of the Battle Beasts appeared in the episode "Rebellion on Planet Beast" of the Japanese Transformers cartoon series Transformers: The Headmasters.

Understood. But the new Battle Beasts line is already out (in Japan), and it doesn't contain vehicles, robots, or transformers, as described in the trademark application for "Beast Hunters".

Hasbro could always market it differently. As I understood, Takara is marketing Battle Beasts as a game, which wouldn't require vehicles. If Hasbro wanted to market them as action figures, they could easily add in other accessories like transforming vehicles and bases to make for a complete lineup as toys.

In either case, I'm trying to curb my enthusiasm.

More beast transformers, or beast saga coming stateside. Either of these things would be really really awesome for me.

Still, this is just names, and till more is seen it's just names.

I wouldnt get excited just yet, we dont even know if this has anything to do with Transforemrs, hasbro does make other things besides transformres. For all we know they picked up the rights to distribute some other toyline or are just making a brand new series. Plus if you think about it they did nothing for the 15th anniversary of Beast Wars and did very little for the 10th so why would they try and bring it back now? Now if the 20th anniversary was just around the corner then maybe this would be Beast Wars related but its not so im leaning towards new franchise. The only way i can see this being TF related is if it has something to do with the next movie, they did say they were going to change things up and they wont be fully satisfied until they totally bastardize all of the TF eras in crappy explosion filled no plot movies.

Another site is reporting it's just the US version of Beast Saga.
Or the update to the original non-Transformers "Battle Beasts" from Hasbro in the 90's.

They had vehicles and Playsets.

it all makes sense, and not transformers related.

Those comics have nothing to do with the battle beasts from the 80's. Hasbro Let the trademark for "battle beasts" expire. Diamond picked it up. They're now making new Battle Beasts toys, taking a great deal from their minimates line. They have next to nothing to do with the original line.

I wonder if this takes place after Beast Machines..This will take place in the G1 universe? Unlike the alt universes it has been set in since RID

Have to agree with Mkall here. Even if it is Transformers related, it would have to work within the "Aligned" "Binder of Revelation" Hasbro's been working from lately.

Beast wars is my favorite arc in the Transformers series. Like I said, BW is pretty much my G1 because I'm too young for the 80's cartoon. I was born in '89. So, excuse me while my head explodes in excitement. :BOOM:

So pretty much, don't expect a new show. Makes sense seeming how there's still 2 shows that are still airing episodes. But I'm excited to see the new characters.

Alright, I'm really excited. Whatever it is, it must be awesome. A Beast Era re-imagining with better voice acting and new characters could be really neat.

While I'd love them to pull a Beast Wars set in the future of the Aligned Continuity, taking cues from BW but making it something new and fresh, nothing Hasbro has done has convinced me that anyone there has any love for Beast Wars anymore. I'm betting this ties into season 3 of TF Prime, you know, like Armada's Powerlinx line, or Energon's Battle for Energon. Aren't the Dinobots supposed to show up in Season 3, and possibly this Thundertron guy?

Better voice acting? That's impossible.

Anything's possible. I'd be happy with anything, really, as long as it doesn't contradict any history of the Aligned family to a great extent. We haven't had any full confirmation on either of them (Although the Dinobots are likely to come to Season 3). They won't confirm anything so that they can force us to read the Rage of Dinobots comic and find out.

Not sure it's wise to be running 3 different TF series at once... Prime, Rescubots, and this? For what purpose!?

If they could get the original Beastwars creators to do this like Regeneration my greatest wish would be granted! (I hated Beast Machines, great animation but it lost the Beastwars feel!)
