Can't read the PDF/Google docs thing, but I'm not impressed, so far, if it IS Prime. I don't want to buy Thundertron. I will if I have to. Bleh.

Looks like I'll be able to skip collecting for a little while.

I've never had any interest in beast type transformers. Kibble is bad enough on geometrically shaped robots let alone ones with animal arms and tails hanging off.

I swear, this will be great for the toyline. Not only is it possible that we'll get Breakdown (a new mold), Shockwave, Hardshell/Insecticon, and Smokescreen (hopefully a new mold, or extensive re-engineering of Knock Out), but we'd probably get Prime toys of the Dinobots! I totally want to see this show make a turn towards Beast Transformers, as long as they don't become great big shell-formers.

Might give me an ulterior motive to buy Thundertron. ;)

I have zero interest in a beast wars/machines/ies series and will pretty much kill off collecting for a while.

Third party would rain supreme more then ever if that were to happen. I'm sure they wouldn't stop making vehicle type Transformers (H&TT), so long as they keep away from the gnarly looking Trans Tech look most fans will still support it.

EDIT: If it's third season of Prime I can deal with that. It seems like the general idea is Dinobots & the like. I'm in.

I'm past Beastformers. I was big into them for awhile, mainly during the Beast Era, and I like the TM2 redecos for the RID/Car Robots line (2000/2001), but once we got back into vehicular TFs, I drifted from beasts, pretty much altogether.

Outside of some figures like Cybertron Scourge and Snarl, I'm not a big fan on 'em, anymore. Even Dinobots. (Well, to be more precise, especially Dinobots.) I do have the Animated trio of dinos, which I bought partially as a matter of completeness. (Those are up for sale, btw, people.)

I'll only collect Thundertron if he's part of the on show cast. If he's a toy only figure, he's not getting picked up. I only collect on show toys, now. I did it with the Bayverse, I do it now. I only caved on Animated Oil Slick because he finally showed up on the show. Fortunately, he turned out to be a pretty good figure. Thundertron looks like he'd be the complete opposite of what I want.

On the flip side, he looks like he'd have the least kibble and weird shoulder pads out of all of the Voyagers in the line. Go figure.

If it's true and it's Prime Season 3, this fills me with hope that Hasbro will continue the line, at least.

If it's a new Beast Wars series, it's a meh that will save me some money.

And if it's fake or non-TF-related, it's hardly even on my radar.

Thundertron's deal is that he's from the second novel and is going to be in the Asian TF: Prime MMO game.

No word on his being in the show yet, but with Beast Hunters being season three, it's possible. ;)

If this picture was meant to be an internal document, then it wouldn't surprise me at all if Hasbro asked us to take this down. But then again, I've been pretty wrong in this thread already.

I'm of two minds of this apparent "Beast Hunters" season. If it brings us organic beast-formers (even if they are fantasy-based like that Scourge-esque dragon) then I'm all for it toywise. But on the other hand if Megatron and co. on the show get replaced by random monsters (ala that Snake Men arc from He-Man) then I'm opposed.

EDIT: I must commend the Seibertron news team for not jumping to conclusions on this news, unlike certain other fansites...

we have that answer, we have our answer. Hasbro is unlikely to
start a new series unless Prime is doing poorly with the ratings.

It was an Emmy Award nomination and won. What do you think?

i expect this copyright thing to be:
a: a sub-toyline to the PRID one
b: copyrighted so no one else can take it
c. an ALL NEW NON-TRANSFORMERS RELATED toyline/tv show.
(hey if big robots sell, companies gonna sell robot toys, even if they already have some.)

A: They registered it for a toyline. You know how much I love toys.
B: Now why would they do that?
C: Perhaps a toyline/show about people who hunt beasts?

If Prime isnt doing well then, i will bet the beast era will be back AND IT BETTER BE BACK WITH AWESOME VENGENCE!!!(i missed the beast era as i was too young then (or didnt know about it) so if i get my chance and if the show and toys are good, then im good with Hasbro takin' my money- i also want some of the old actors aswell, if it happens).
and with the PRID toyline seeming to end with the lion-con and UMagnus i wouldnt be surprised if they are scrapping atleast the Prime toyline.

What? That makes no sense. We have two shows going on based in the Aligned Continuity, and both of them are doing incredible jobs at staying on the air.

And, no, PRiD is not ending with them. We're also getting a Skyquake. It ends with him (as far as we know).

They regestered this for a toyline and a cartoon. If they don't use it for a cartoon or toyline, what's the point? That would be a waste of time.[/quote]

one i dont think nominations get you money. Now i know the probability being low that a
show would win and not have good viewings, but it is possible.
(ex: psychonauts,etc.)

now to the copyright thing, i would think that if it is associated with one of
hasbro's trademarks they would hate it for people to take it.
like if Lucas gave up starwars at the end of episode 6 and then someone else made the first three without him, bcuz they got the copyright. im no business man so OFCOARSE i
am speculating like a good deal of seibertron.

finally when i meant that this would lead to a new series, i meant as a replacement for Prime if Prime is doing poorly.

You guys really getting excited over this poorly p'shopped photo?
Apparently my last post was ignored, but this is a non- Transformers
Toy line. It's just the US version of Takara's "Beast Saga".

Why would they do BW in Prime, we still haven't seen the Dinobots or the Combiners
That we're told will show up.

Agreed, no offense to Neo-Bombshell but the whole my friend got this for me story is hard to believe, someone's friend is never a relieable source.

My friend who works for Hasbro told me that next year we will be getting Fall of Cybertron Technobots and they will combine to form Computron.

Still, I find it hard to find a reason as to why Neo-Bombshell, a member of TFW for 10 years, would post BS. Hopefully it actually is Prime related. If it's just Hasbro's Battle Beast, I'm passing the whole line.

He stated that he obtained the information from his friend. And his friend was given information that was not entirely finalized... Especially since it says that this will be happening in "Fall of 2013." So seeing how the original "Battle Beasts" was known as Beastformers in Japan, as well as a 1987 Headmasters sub-line, we might be seeing more of a crossover event than just a mere new season.

And besides, Thundertron is the leader of the Star Seekers. The Star Seekers have chosen beast-like forms. They also dislike both Autobots and Decepticons. And it is a good bet that they would choose the Battle Beasts' planet as a decoy to get both factions there. But this is all speculations, as Hasbro never said that they are only sticking with their past works. :-?

Except that "Beast Saga" is not a line of transforming toy robots, as the trademark application clearly states ("toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms.").
