I don't get it. Is TF Prime going to end or is this Beast Hunter just the title for the new season? :-?

Title for the new season, essentially.
But it is going to end in its current setting and story-arc, as far as I gather.

Nothing says "Robot in Disguise" like a giant robot dragon. :BANG_HEAD:

It does look awesome though. :D

Especially if they're not on Earth where they don't need disguises. :D

People keep saying this. When have the Decepticons EVER cared about being in disguise in this show? That's just the Autobots. For the 'cons, their alt modes are just methods of transportation and/or intimidation. And now, as has been said repeatedly, the battle is leaving earth, so "disguises" are secondary anyway. The 'bots and 'cons are armoring up and pulling out the big guns.

Of course not, but it's unlikely. In the meantime, Mastermind Creations is working on a good-looking one.

How so? Beast Hunters is going to be the overall theme of the third season of Transformers Prime as well as the entire brand, so I wouldn't be surprised seeing a set of Generations Deluxe Predacon Combiners under that sort of theme.

Plus, it was asked at NYCC 2012 if there was going to be more combiners, and they said:

"Mmmm... maybe. Better stay tuned."

Them calling this guy "predaking" is likely why they're calling the G1-Predaking-based Kreon Combiner "Predicus", so as to not confuse the name of the "Predacon dragon leader" with the "warm-blooded, non-reptilian animal combiner dude".

Hmmm. Okay, so if we ever get a Deluxe Predacon Combiner, it will combine into Predicus.

Mindmaster wrote:...and the Predacons are still a Decepticon subgroup.

Technically, I think they are their own group, since it was indicated at the con they are basically Cybertron's version of Dinosaurs (they were there before the great Cataclysm). Also in that statement they hinted that there are many historical parallels between Earth and Cybertron (like the fall of the Dinosaurs here) and that would play into the Transformers mythos (am I paraphrasing them correctly?). Seemed like they were hinting a sister-planet relationship.

Anybody at the con snag a cool Predacon T?

also - anybody know if footage of the panel is up anywhere?

They have their own faction logo, and I perceive Predaking to be a power-hungry giant with anger issues, probably not willing to serve or work alongside Megatron. The dynamic between the Decepticons & Predacons could mirror the G1 Decepticons and Insecticons.

Yup.
