Good news for fans of the Hub's Transformers Prime series. Online game magazine Kataku.com is reporting the online Transformers game being developed by Jagex for launch in 2012 will partially take place in the Transformers Prime universe. The MMO will also feature characters from Generation one and other Transformers continuities. To what degree the game will be influenced by Transformers Prime is unknown, but it looks like Hasbro will be focusing their attention on Transformers Prime after this summer's Transformers DOTM.

Which continuity will the game be set in? First generation? The movies? The new animated television show?


Just heard from Jagex public relations that the MMO will be based partly on Transformers Prime, the new animated series airing on the Hub network...

COnfirmatioon of an MMO...NICE! ANd I will be happy to take a TF:Prime themed game...which makes sense as in 2012 that will be carrying the franchise. SOme G1 toons thrown in are just for good measure. The style also makes it more simple for the programmers as they don't necessarily have to worry about oodles of detailing on the bots like in WFC- which is a good thing and a bad thing all at the same time; it keeps it simple for the programmers and for mid-level PCs on the good side. On the bad side WFC looked amazing...I guess we'll just have to take WFC 2 as a consolation prize.

Ugh...Based on TF Prime? That right there makes me not even want any further info on the game. Hate the show, hate the character designs on the show. :BOOM:

Prime, huh? I'm underwhelmed. Of course, I won't be surprised to see the whole thing end up as something more like Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures than WoW (or even a fun MMO :P ) but I can hope.

Of course, another possibility is that we'll each get to create our own kind of annoying human to be babysat by various Transformer NPCs.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Prowl, Astrotrain, Ramjet, Skywarp, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Blurr, Perceptor, GDO Wheelie and Springer, or 3rd Party Motobot Arcee, FP Springer, iGear Ratchet and Ironhide, City Commander (and/or Ultra Magnus), Starscream (deluxe) Coronation add-on, or Spike and Daniel in their Exo-Suits.
