so how come these look more "transformer-ish" ? lol
i have no problem with the movie designes (both in movie and toy) but how come all these other characters look like typical transformers and havent kept the "realistic" style as the movie characters?

Armourhide looks sweet. I wouldn't mind Skyblast, Air Raid and Elita One either. Wish they would stop repainting that strongarm mold though.

Elita-1 can cause other transformers to overheat from her attraction field? OKKKAAYY...
Plus someone doesn't know how to transform Armorhide. Could hasbro just hire a geek to look over their modes in the photos? Would help a lot.

These are real hit or miss. It's nice to see the Elita name finnaly get used, but it would have been better seeing it used on a fresh figure.
I've been saying it, how many times do I need these same figures?

They're repaints of Scout figures from the preceding
Energonand
Cybertronlines, that's why.

There seems to be a lot of exclusives for the movie line.

Technically the Energon Arcee mold has only been used once for a general release toy. The Paradron type was a Japanese exclusive, the Botcon trio were convention exclusives, and these two movie ones are Target exclusives.

I agree. Classics didn't have this many. I might try to get Skyblast and Elita-1 though, to replace some pieces.
My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

i'm guessing its to fill a lower price point request by target and repainted basics is what works.
Overall I do like the color scheme on these basic characters and its strange I really like the bike girl mold so getting two more versions of it makes me happy.

I want/wanted all the scout figure exclusives... but at $8 a pop I can't afford them!
Will still get Skyblast and probably AirRaid too, as I love that mold.

Whatever Hasbro! Just because you slap the name "Elita-One" on the package doesn't mean anything. We're STILL waiting for actual G1 accurate Arcee & Elita-1 figures! How many more years are you gonna waste? Now every female Transformer has to be a damn bike?

Bad for you, good for me. I finally get to buy a Clocker figure, and I don't have to get ripped off on ebay to do it. Plus, he looks better than original Clocker IMHO.
Armohide...this black one will be Nemesishide.

Its an odd collection of moulds 3 from Energon 2 from Cybertron, anyway:
Loving the Skyblast repaints. Gonna get them both if i can. It sucks they are target Exclusives, but ohhh well.
Strong Arm is mis transformed. I can't believe they can't unfold his legs and rotate his waist. Such a simple transformation, and still they get it wrong. According to the Box even a 5 year old should be able to transform them.
Anyway when are they supposed to be out in Target stores?

Why does Elita look like Arcee? I know its the Arcee mold but the colors are spot on for Arcee. Ill be getting Armorhide and skyblast. I guess ill get Elita and Air Raid and keep them in the box. Im really tired of repaints. And why is there a repaint of a repaint in the same wave as the repaint?

Sigh, I would love to have a proper Elita One.
BTW I have the Scout Class Arcee, should I get the Deluxe Arcee when it comes out? I like the figure but the face looks really ugly, even by "alien realism" standards.

i grabbed clocker, skyblast, and strongarm. my favorite is strongarm, but skyblast has some cool energon kibble (as my best friend says "its like weapon legos!") and i've created no less than 4 ways for it to be held other than what is displayed on the boxart.
also, this is by far my favorite paint job of the clocker mold so far. it has that blue 'supermetal' paint effect to it, just gorgeous to look at!

I think it's funny how they cant even properly transform their own products for their press releases (and box art on occasion). You would think that SOMEONE would be able to transform Strongarm by now.
