Before a huge crowd for the Hasbro/Takara Tomy Brand Development and Product Panel Discussion, Hasbro revealed the first Generations figure to be released as part of wave 1 in 2013: deluxe class Starscream. Hopefully additional repaints of the mold are planned as well-surprisingly, that question wasn't asked during the Q&A session.

Transformers Global Brand Director, Jerry Jiovin, also teased the crowed a little with the potential for the release of FOC Grimlock. When asked by a member of the crowd if we'd see him in the same wave, he sheepishly grinned and answered " Stay tuned..."

I sat through the whole panel and tooks lots of notes/pictures and will post more later on.

Just when I was going to try to go to bed....now I'm too excited to sleep, this is awesome!
Yes, they better do repaints! I've never been one to collect the other seekers, but that mold looks really nice. I'd probably eat up every different color they did.

Awesome! :CON:

Now let's hope we can see both Skywarp AND Thundercracker at mass retail....in less than five years....WITHOUT any cancellations.

That's not too much to ask for, is it? 8-}

Rather impressive mold for the size. Seems complex, which is just fine for me. (Although, that could be a bit of trickery and he could be a flipchanger...)

Still, I'm impressed, so far.

So... Shockwave, Bruticus and Starscream are sure buys. Jazz, possibly. Prime, not a chance in Hell. Even the lowest depths of the furnace that runs it.

1st - Dev, thanks for all the info you shared this past weekend. I really haven't been able to spend much time online, but yesterday when I started seeing your news, I was astounded! I can only hope that BotCon or any other event in the next few months still has room for surprises after reading everything...

So, this Starscream mold looks pretty damn awesome! I'm hoping that FoC figures aren't that staggered between one wave to another. Last I read, RobotKingdom stated the first wave with OP, Soundwave, and Jazz would be available in May (oh, lookee - pushed back to July now). What's a fan to do between May '12 and Spring '13?

My only concern about the figure is that I don't like his waist, it protrudes too much and doesn't exude "Seeker sleek". I really hope the final version is a bit more slim in that area. Otherwise, I have no issues with it. I also love the eyes, very sinister looking.

Yeah, was there for work. It was perfect timing-not that me setting the schedule didn't have something to do with it. ;)

Am hoping to go every year now.
