Can't afford Bruticus. :[ I is a sad Natsume.

I'll try and see if I can scrape together enough because I have someone who will buy him for me...It's just that cost. D:

Here is a press release from Hasbro regarding their SDCC exclusives and pricing.

HASBRO DELIVERS THE HOTTEST SPECIAL EDITION TOYS AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON, FEATURING TRANSFORMERS, G.I. JOE, MY LITTLE PONY AND MORE

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (June 26, 2012) —In what has become a highly anticipated annual tradition, Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) is coming to Comic-Con International in San Diego, California, with an array of special edition action figures and toys that are set to be some of the hottest items available at the show. This year, the special edition figures are drawn from the lore of some of Hasbro’s most popular brands, as well as eagerly anticipated movies, animated series and video games.

The special edition items will be available at the HasbroToyShop booth (#3329) at Comic-Con International starting on Preview Night, July 11th (while supplies last), as well as in very limited quantities after the show at HasbroToyShop.com. Highlights of the range of special edition toys include a one-of-a-kind chance to own JAR JAR BINKS from the STAR WARS films encased in Carbonite, a huge TRANSFORMERS DECEPTICON ‘Combiner’ figure based on the hotly anticipated video game TRANSFORMERS: FALL OF CYBERTRON, a fan-favorite Pony character from the hit Hasbro Studios produced TV series My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and even a massive vehicle from MARVEL’s THE AVENGERS franchise!

“The Hasbro brand and design teams greatly enjoy conceptualizing and developing the highly sought after special edition figures for Comic-Con year over year,” said John Frascotti, chief marketing officer, Hasbro. “Each Hasbro item features a fan favorite character or other nod to the most passionate fan bases of our brands and product lines that don’t exist in the more widely available main line. We have a lot of fun developing these toys and are thrilled to be able to provide fans unique expressions of their favorite pop-culture properties.”

Not sure if the helicarrier will see full retail release so this might be it.

My sister is a big high-end doll collector and her jaw dropped when she saw Jem. Integrity is a BIG name in high end dolls.

G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Jem and the Holograms were all Sunbow cartoons. Some shared voice actors and company staff. Shared music. There's even one character that graces all 3 cartoon series ... Hector Ramirez, a news reporter in all 3 series: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Hector_Ramirez_(G1)

Some of the Jem characters were used as crowd fillers in Transformers "B.O.T."
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Jem

Heck, there's a poster of Jem that even makes a surprise appearance in Masterforce!

I didnt know they were in B.O.T. Im going to have to pop in the DVD. I guess that puts Jem in the "G1 cameo appearance" catagory with Battle Beasts and an aging Cobra Commander.

And that crotch pincher looks pretty painful...

And, according to Vector Prime in the AllSpark Almanac II book, the Jem cartoon (along with G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, C.O.P.S., and Inhumanoids) is canon to the American G1 cartoon continuity. :-B

Blast from the past. I think this is the first new Jem product, aside from the DVDs, in over two decades.

Loving the interesting new direction this Transformers fansite is taking with front page news about Jem...!! ;)
Maybe Michael Bay should include her and the Holograms in the new movie!
Imagine the Human Alliance figure they could throw up with that one!?

At the very least I've got to get Terrocon Cliffjumper. I was going to get the Takara version, but this looks way better in my opinion. I'll make an attempt at getting Bruticus, but it won't bother me too much if I can't get this version.

Also, I find it funny just how careful they are to not use Derpy's name in that press release. I guess after Derpygate they just decided to not ever use her name again.
