Stopped by Toys R Us in Allen, TX when I got off work. The manager stated they've got in two a week but never hit the shelves, people checking every morning when store opens. I was headed to Oklahoma couple weeks ago and the store manager was able to bring up stores within 100 miles, called Norman, OK store and they had one. So ask the manager if they can look up to check stock in other stores. If they say they cant they're lying, so press them on it. Good luck and happy hunting.

I got mine here in Austin Texas a few weeks ago. Calling the stores in the morning did me no good, and my job prevents me from being able to get there when they open. So I recruited my sister. She was temporarily out of work due to an injury, but she could drive, so I let her take my truck in the morning, she found one on the first try. So happy to have it! Thought I'd never get my hands on one. Also it was $100 not $120.

There is a small gap on the chest of mine. I was watching some reviews, some had the gap some did not. Is this a mold issue? Will the majority of them have this issue? Is anyone else seeing this issue?

I got mine in Norman as well, about three weeks ago right after the initial sighting. It was the only one they had and they had to get it from the back. I've seen him there a couple of times since then, but he never stays in stock long. Paid the original $99.99.

Mine does a few QC issues. The worst being a chest misalignment that causes his passenger side windshield area/chest to not close all the way. Probably need to take it apart to see what the problem is, or return him for a different one once they hit in mass and start shelf warming.

Sounds like yours is doing the same as mine. I bet this is a pretty common issue. I was thinking about exchanging too. My guess is the next one I got would have the same issue. Hmm, I will have to wait and see.

Mine seems to be fine. I've been hearing a lot of people saying some of the figures have defects. Guess I got lucky. $89.99 after coupon not too shabby for a masterpiece figure. Now I just need to find Wheelie, been hunting him for weeks.

No kidding. I just checked about 10 stores in my area --some near, some really far, no one has it or stocked today. :(

At this point I can only hope TRU comes through with the pre-orders because we're having gas shortages thanks to Hurricane Sandy. It's not worth while driving anywhere unless I have to...

Make that three brothas.

I haven't checked my local TRU recently, but judging from times, past, I'm sure there won't be any available. I'm going by there tonight to look into renewing my Xbox Live membership, so I'll poke around while I'm there.

Finally snagged one yesterday. Called in the morning and they had two but wouldnt hold one. By the time I got off work they had one which was still there when I got over there. Looks like they jacked up the price because it was $120 which sucked. At least I got one and dont have to waste time and gas looking for it anymore.

Also grabbed FE Arcee and Starscream.

With my luck they will get a ton before christmas and drop the price.

I have two, both over an hour away, and the one that did get any in recently saw fit to let the employees get them. I hate when TRU gets all the good exclusives tbh. It usually means I'm paying double or not getting them at all. Why is it only TRU gets them anymore? Wal-Mart would seem to be a far more distributable choice.

I have a bad theory on what is going to happen with those of us who pre-ordered. But i don't want to post for fear of jinxing us & so that Geoffrey doesn't get any bright ideas.

I found Prime today at my local toys R us marked $119. I pulled up pictures of cases and several receipts people had posted showing $99 and the manager was a little bit rude about it saying "Frankly I don't care about a box pricing discrepancy, this is my store and what is priced in my store is the final price." I was like "ok dude, sorry."

I had the 10 dollars off coupon that's good till the 10th but he just made me want to leave so I did.

Grabbed Prime the other day. I saw him behind the counter and just stayed to ask someone personally when they'd get more in. Lucky for me, the one I saw wasn't on hold!

I'm surprised there was a price jump. Mine was the regular $99. But I WAS surprised to find it behind a counter rather than just on the shelf. I wonder how many times I passed an unclimed MP Prime by just because I wasn't expecting it over there...

@StingerLAM, thank you for posting your experience, including the pix of the boxes and especially your receipt. My local Toys R Us in Johnson City, TN, gave me the 99.99 price instead of the 119.99 that was on their shelf, with no problems, no hassle, and no questions asked when they saw the print out of the receipt picture you posted on here. Double win: finally got an MP Optimus (had been checking for several weeks) AND didn't have to pay the increased price! I wanted to post this to encourage others to print out your receipt to take with them if they are hunting this item and to say THANK YOU!

I think part of the reason I managed to get them to price it down was because the intercom said something to the effect of "Have a question about an item? Just ask a sales associate. It's our goal to make sure you leave Toys R Us with something in your hands" just before I asked them, also I was basically faking confusion. Seriously, I said "I'm just a little confused about this, because I couldn't find a tag under it (lucky) and when I price checked it came up as 120 bucks, but then I saw the shipping box was marked as $99.99". The manager then proceeded to get the item number, follow me back to the isle, clime the shelf like an idiot, scan the box and then just say "well we're giving it to ya for 99.99 whatever the case" and I was golden. I even managed to get another guy (don't ask a single person more than one favor and make sure the next person you deal with didn't see you get help before) to find me a first edition Vehicon.

You gotta sell it man. ;)

Optimus hasn't arrived to coastal North Carolina as of yet. However, there were several Thundercrackers at my local TRU (one of which I wanted to get, but had to settle for Springer instead. Nice toy, that Springer...).

I found MP Optimus today at my local TRU. He was marked up to 149.99 and the store manager wanted nothing to do with honoring the price of the Tulsa store. After he walked away I showed the receipt to the customer service woman and she accepted the markdown and let me have it for 99.99.

Anybody complaining about the $100 price tag is out of their mind.

Well I didn't take my Prime out of the package right away. But I finally did and he has the same problem with his chest panels. Considering it's about an hour or so to drive there, I got it marked down and the issue is so horribly common I don't see much point in trying to return it. My guess is that I couldn't return it because I got it for lower than current retail anyway.

Speaking of which, the Cliffjumper I got has over spray on one of his horns, my FE Vehicon has some mold flash in places, my delicious neon green tank is even more difficult to transform than Bludgeon and Shut-the-hell-up has kindof a mushy looking face. So either it's just my typically bad luck at work or the rapid decline of Hasbro's quality control. My guess is the latter.
