Here are pics of the replacement one I picked up. I don't have pics of the original, but they were really bad. One of the chest panels was way off and did not click in place. You could really see the silver under the chest and the gap was really large. On the replacement you will notice no damage to the bumper and it looks good. Just a minor gap on the chest on this one.

This is an issue I forgot to address. Thanks for reminding me. I am sad to see returns and exchanges happen with toys, and collectibles in general, but I also dont want to be responsible for selling something secondhand that Im not 100% satisfied with, even if I have shown pics and explained it to the buyer, and then have the buyer be disappointed and upset anyway.

And along those lines, I hate to see people return/ exchange toys and have the retailer just put them back on the shelf because they look like theyre in resale condition. Then the second buyer is disappointed to find a previously played with toy, weapon missing or (ex)changed, etc. I see that from time to time and really dont know how people can sleep knowing they did something like that.

Ok. My head is going to explode now. I got the same email Sunday night, the about 6 hrs. later I got a delay notification mail. I'll cut & paste it here:

What made it even worse was I read this email first, then the Sunday "we're all ready to go" email. I would've probably gotten it between 11/12 and 11/15. Dude, I swear Bane is working with Geoffrey and I'm being punished for getting MP TC quickly and easily at the end of August.

I am right there with you! I got the same follow up email this morning as well. I've explained my situation which was but ended up getting a figure in person this morning. See my latest post at the bottom of the page in the other thread on this topic:

Hopefully the "delayed" email was incorrect. I was initially told that it was right and the "in stock/shipping soon" email was wrong along with my account on TRU's website. However, I later found out that the "delayed" email was wrong. I hope it works out for you!

Just called TRU cust service. The rep did not seem willing to help & sounded like she was eating lunch or something. I asked her, "could you please check if this is a mistake" twice - and then she put me on hold for a few min., doing who knows what, then took me off hold. "The delay email still stands -not showing shipping." Hard to be nice when u have snide reps like that on the other end of the phone. Not good service at all. I'm crossing my fingers. A friend of mine said we should do a class action suit/get the feds or SEC involved in this. B/c they are not fulfilling pre-orders -probably intentionally delaying them, putting them in stores for $30 and 40 higher, and waiting for the 45 day window to close. Having the stock & lying about it essentially. Should be illegal if this is all true. Geoffrey should be shot in the face with an elephant gun if this ends badly.

I got the same emails and its getting to the point of wtf man. I imported 1 from Hong Kong a couple of months ago because I didn't want to go through this crap. I almost traded it when I for the 1st time ever was able to preorder with tru. I guess a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. I knew something was wrong when I checked my bank account and there was no charge. If tru cancels our preorders this will be one of the most shady things I have ever seen in collecting and I have been collecting for 15 years. I think tru was getting soo many people calling in and inquiring about the preorder that they decided to bump up the price in the stores and leave all the preorders hanging forcing us to hunt down $120-$140 primes. I have my import and thank God I haven't opened him, sold him, or traded him or I would be crapping my pants right now. After mp Soundwave I think I'm done with transformers. Everything is just getting rehashed or repainted now. I look at my collection and think to myself "I can't believe I bought all of these and haven't opened any of them." When my son is older I'm going to let him tear into my collection like one mega Christmas I could only dream about as a kid. I'll get enough enjoyment out of that to last me the rest of my life.

The preorder mess is annoying enough as it is. Do we really need TWO threads about it? Could a mod merge them or something?

Well, for anyone interested it looks like Masterpiece OP is listed on TRU's website again for ordering or in store pickup. Just ordered mine this morning.

Just ordered mine a few minutes ago as well! Looks like they raised the price to $119 though, ended up paying $125.99 after tax. Not bad considering the craziness that occured with the previous pre-order, and on TRU's site it says they're "in stock" so hopefully it only takes a couple of days to get to me. Needless to say, I'm stoked!

This is good news for those who've missed out so far. I've still got a preorder that hasn't shipped out, so hopefully this means there is plenty of stock. If anyone who orders today gets shipping notifications though before me, you'd better believe TRU is going to be getting a call haha.

Well, this is my first time ever ordering with TRU so I don't know how they process things, but the last email I got from them was my order confirmation and number. So does this mean that my item has shipped? And yeah most definitely give them a call if you haven't got yours yet because I read somewhere else in the forum that a guy called TRU to check on his pre-order and as soon as he got off the phone he got an email with confirmation haha Anyways, hope everyone get's their orders fulfilled, pre-order and new orders.

I apologize in advance if this is read in 2 different threads but after a lengthy conversation with TRU.com CS and CS manager, this is what I found out about the “delayed” email and the all of a sudden availability of the item at $119.99. I tried to place an order for the “in stock” item that is currently showing online as of 1:17PM and having them honor my pre-order price of $99.99. The CS asked me for my order number to confirm pricing, after transferring my call to a manager to see if it can be done, according to their system, he said that it is in stock and that it will be shipped. I mentioned to him that I had received 2 emails, the one that said that my preorder was ready to ship and then another email stating that my item will be delayed. He did affirm that if I do proceed to placing an order today, the order will go on back order and that I am better off keeping the preorder (due to the 2 item limit) as the preorders will be fulfilled first before the “in stock” items showing on line now. I also asked, as the delayed email mentioned that if we do not receive the item by the 23rd it will be cancelled and another member was told that if they called by the 22nd that they could request the item not be cancelled, well the manager told me that it is computerized and the system will cancel them automatically and unfortunately CS could not override (not looking for a pissing contest, just saying what I was told) if anyone has heard otherwise, I would like to hear it…cheers.

I was told that we could call to stop the cancellation...but if they are saying we can't, then maybe that's the case. Geez...this sucks.

...and the 25% off orders over $125 isn't working...

If TRU throws out the Sept. pre-orders, raises the price again (already has happened), and ships to the people who ordered today first, there will be serious hell to pay. That is one triple &*%^& I'm not goin for

Seems like most if not all of us who preordered have received our confirmation...the planets and the moons have aligned and the Gods are smiling upon us...balance has been restored to the force (until next year's figureI'd like to thank fellow seibertronians that have been glued to this thread since day one (yuo know who you are) for their support and providing helpful information to the rest of us as it developed...LET US REJOICE!!!

Got my shipping notice Tues. night. Most stressful pre-order situation EVER. Thank god that's over with. Now I hope it arrives in one piece & wasn't packaged by gorillas.

Stores have 'em in stock too, but it appears the prices have increased over the initial $99.99. to $119.99. I always like seeing pics of toys in their their natural habitats.

nice! that box looks huge compared to Thundercracker, and Thundercracker wasn't a dinky box either. can't wait to get my Optimus!

Last week there were 4on the shelf. Went in today.....none. I'm willing to bet that everyones' favorite comic book store owner ( ) over here grabbed them all. Good thing I already got one. And on a happier note, I finally got a Hotspot
