Stores have 'em in stock too, but it appears the prices have increased over the initial $99.99. to $119.99. I always like seeing pics of toys in their their natural habitats.

nice! that box looks huge compared to Thundercracker, and Thundercracker wasn't a dinky box either. can't wait to get my Optimus!

Last week there were 4on the shelf. Went in today.....none. I'm willing to bet that everyones' favorite comic book store owner ( ) over here grabbed them all. Good thing I already got one. And on a happier note, I finally got a Hotspot

TRU Prime(or Octomus Prime, as my daughter calls him)has arrived from Toysrus.com preorder! ...and I am doing the Happy Dance!

got my TRU Optimus Prime today, what a great way to start off my weekend! good to see everyone getting their orders in as well! til next release

hello all,

is anyone getting paint chips on their TRU MP Prime? i've transfromered mine twice and the diacast painted mid section (in red) keeps chipping. it is not visible in either modes but its the part that locks it in robot mode and vehical mode. its not a big deal but just wondering. I cant be the only one having this issue.

I know a lot of fans are still beefing over $119.00 vs $99.00 but I for one rather have the $119.00 than pay ebay prices or New York and international prices.

$120 is a fair price, but it was advertised to us at $100 and so it's an extra $20 most people weren't prepared to spend.

i'm saying it - TRU intentionally delayed the release to wait for the 20% off coupons to expire and for people to get fed up with their $99 pre-orders to cancel them. I'm not fallin for that BS. I would've renewed my order till they delivered it at the initial price. Would've escalated to as much management as possible if i had to.

Can't prove it, of course, but it seems rather possible. I wouldn't be surprised. For a store like TRU, this is pretty ridiculous.

I've worked for TRU, and I can say that even the employees make jokes about not getting refreshed stock of items on sale, until the sale was over.

If its coincidental, then there is a least one coincidence a week.

Of course I can't prove it, but look at how many brick & mortar stores were getting them (esp. east & south) while the Sept. pre-orders were neglected.

Wow. I'm speechless. Just opened the shipping box & am seeing it for the first time in person. I'm stunned. Nice packaging too. Holy s&*^$&. Wow. Now I see why people are saying at $120 it's still a deal. Well worth the wait and the $99 I paid too. I was lucky. Time to hold it over my head like "Tron"

Yep it's back in stock again....again....

Really pisses me off how much they jacked up the price. Was impossible to get while it was $99. None of the local stores had them nor did the site. I talked to one store and they said they've been getting about one case every two weeks. Only two come in a case. Really don't understand how they always ship in massive amounts of crappy movie exclusives that no one wants and only two of MP Prime. Or Grimlock. That one was a debacle, too. Anyway finally ordered mine on the weekend, but probably only because fewer people are buying at the higher price, so the handful they get here and there aren't moving as fast.

Your not the only one.

Me too but as has been mentioned, can't see it in robot or truck modes anyway so why kick up a fuss about it?

I can't wait to see and have that masterpiece Optimus Prime. I'm an avid fan of transformers Toys, though my favorite character is bumblebee, still I want to collect other characters.
