Those data disk guys are about the size of his wheel in disk form. WFC Soundwave's wheels are about the size of a quarter. Which means the disks are around the size of a quarter. Maybe a tad bigger.

So... they're pretty tiny. O.o

I dont think theyll be the same size, that wouldnt make sense
Why not? It makes perfect sense to me.

Bigger deluxe = Smaller Voyager with extra accessories

Seems to fit nicely.

Not very impressed with what they revealed. I saw the pictures of Rumble, Ravage, Frenzy and they do not do the characters any justice. Looks like I will be focusing on 3rd party figures this year.

What justice is there to do? The only ones that have been shown were Rumble, Frenzy, and Laserbeak, in War for Cybertron. Laserbeak resembles his video game counterpart fairly well, except for the wing shape. Rumble and Frenzy are a similar case. You have to make exceptions to figures when something that is 2 inches tall is designed to transform.

We've never even seen Ravage in the Aligned Community (WFC/FOC+Prime), so who knows if he looks accurate or not.

Motto: "Motive is a universal weakness."
"Rust in Peace" Zombie Cliffjumper: That's a very cool/disturbing case and the figure itself is awesome, many times better than Takara's Terrorcon Cliffjumper in my opinion.

Fall of Cybertron Bruticus giftset: Even game accurate colour schemes aren't enough to make me want these figures anymore. Uber pass.

As for the rest, I'll probably end up getting most of them but there's nothing that particularly blows me away. I'm highly impressed/stunned Hasbro is releasing MP-10 with its trailer, and I'm very happy voyager class figures are coming to Generations. Gives me hope for what's to come in 2013.

You have to make "exceptions" when Hasbro makes a 2 inch Transformer. 3rd party companies such as PE for example seem to make their 2 inch or less transform just fine with full articulation and heaps of detail. Don't make excuses for lazy piss poor design.

They also cost $60 or more ... you get what you pay for.

Ha! good point. But that's just what a 3rd party company charges for an item of limited run. Who knows,in reality, the actual cost of the figure. I bet if Hasbro made PE-09 and with all their resources they could sell it for 5 to 10 bucks much like legends class figs. Just a couple extra ball joints and a little more detail on a Legends figure and you have fully articulated and aestheticly pleasing TF.

I feel like the fact that the price is that much higher is simply because Hasbro isn't making them that articulated. All it is, is more balljoints... and more time spent in the planning process I guess. I'm probably over-simplifying, but you get my point. Hasbro is making this for kids who don't really care about articulation and.. the cool other stuff that really matters.

Hasbro Transformers also must go through more crap to get approved. Safety tests, drop tests, etc. 3rd party robots do not. Hasbro toys are also limited by budget. If a design exceeds $x, they must make it simpler. That's why toys like Universe Galvatron were made smaller. That's why toys like RoTF Devastator were made simpler.

I agree that it's BS, but there's nothing we can do about it, sadly. :(

You can defend them as much as you want, but they are garbage.
