and what message do you think that delivered to the lay person?

lets evaluate what was seen on screen in the segment,

boy running for his life, explosions everywhere, boy get seriously injured, soljers work despratly to save boys life.

We see them stop trying, they all see to say, he's dead.............and then we see a heavenly landscape, clouds and clear blue skys......theres a surreal aspect to what we are viewing.

Then we see the Primes.........the primes said early to be dead for thousands of years, they speak of things beyond basic understanding, they impart great wisdom and knowledge on the boy, tell him it was always his destiny to find a "holy" like sacred item, they tell the boy how to return life to an other.......

and then send him back to the real world.

It looks and sounds like a holy myth and a heaven story.

I still don't see the problem with that...

I'll try to mke this really short.

the problem lies between what they intended and what they depicted.

They may have wanted it to look like as vision due to a upload/download from the alspark, but it looked like a boy went to robot heaven and spoke to angles/gods/ghosts.

Its just not stupid or an absurdity to view it as it was depicted.

Yeah, it's not like I mentioned a few of them in the OP or anything

Yes but you were also discussing "Cars", and some where along the line that disappeared and became nothing more than another thread to take apart the Bay movies. Because we can never have enough of them apparently.

...Once you pop...

sorry, I just dont believe you, largely because you said they kept asking questions about "stupid stuff".

Yes, people would view the dead Primes as angels, if they had the memory of a goldfish and forgot about the many times they where brought up and shown in the movie up to that point.

I have no idea what point your trying to make here.No mater how many times they mentioned a down/upload from the alspark, that vision lacked any sign of the technological and looked far to spiritual.

Also I replied to your post, which to me, sounded like you questioned the thing about Sam having the knowledge of the Allspark. Upon reading the full post again, I see that you questioned the vision being a vision.

no, I didnt question any of it.I considered the possibility it was an allspark vision right from the start.

What I'm saying is that they failed to presented it that way.The scene was, visually, far to vague and open to interpretation.

Examples of stupid questions:
Who's that silver car?
Who does that red guy have no legs?
Who are those guys that turn into the icecream truck?
Is that Jetfire guy from the cartoons?
Why is that scorpion alive again?
What is that cube?
Is Optimus going to stay dead?
Is that yellow car Hot-Shot?
Why can't the yellow car talk?
Who's that small robot?
Whoa, that thin sharp guy is awesome, what's his name and what does he do?
Also, I'm not going to discuss this any further with you, since you just shut out everything someone else says and you don't agree with.
And I'm sick of that.

Also lets get this thread back on topic of how awesome the movie Cars is, who's up for a 3rd Cars movie?

eh ... no.

The first one was good, despite seeing it countless times thanks to my then 2 year old nephew who loved it.

When I took him to see the second one, it just felt like a massive cash grab. The story was weaker, the characters just didn't seem to "come to life" like they did in the first movie, and then of course, there was the merchandising which went into overload.

I'm going to rearance your questions a bit....

How are these questions "stupid" if they arent fans??

They seem like very good questions.

Why is that scorpion alive again?
What is that cube?
Why can't the yellow car talk?
Whoa, that thin sharp guy is awesome, what's his name and what does he do?

Since the films didnt even bother to explain these issues very well, how are these "stupid questions"???

Is that yellow car Hot-Shot?
Who's that small robot?

I'll agree, these do seem a bit stupid since their names were mentioned in the film.
Also, I'm not going to discuss this any further with you, since you just shut out everything someone else says and you don't agree with.

you must be confusing me with someone else.Nothing you have said answers the issues the film had.But if you choose not to reply thats cool, have a nice day :D

Well, I finally forced myself to sit through Cars 2, and... it doesn't suck. I mean, there are like 2 or 3 cringeworthy bits, and the entire concept for the movie's plot is effectively stolen from The Man Who Knew Too Little, and the ending was more of a complete Ass Pull than a twist, but aside from that, it was okay. The entire "characters are cars" concept was actually put to much better use here than in the first movie.

Meh. Cars was okay. Better than I thought. I much preferred Toy Story.

Sam didn't go to the Well. All the knowledge from the Allspark that had embedded itself in Sam's brain, which held the collective wisdom of the first 13 (or 7)produced a VISION in his damn brain. What the Primes knew was in HIS HEAD. And apparently he began to understand what the Allspark was trying to tell him all along, damnit!

I now have new respect for you and RotF.

Cars was okay for a kids movie, but I want to shoot whoever thought of the story for Cars 2. Seriously, car spies? Disney, you can bring toys to life and have them do espionage because they're small, but cars? No!
