I'll have to get myself another Mindvipe then, because this set looks awesome but I really like the original head.
I have no probs with sacrificing the copter for Highbrow, I'm sure Hasbro will release a repaint in better colours anyway down the line.

Yep, I have all of MaidenJapan's stuff except for the latest head and waist armor, which I have an order in for. It's awesome stuff, but it takes a loooooong time to get your parts. I fully understand why, but if Headrobots put out a set I would be all over it.

I hope Headrobots has decided to pass on that Skullgrin pic we saw. I'm sure the Banzaitron and Centurion rehashes will come out before these two. As for a junkion set, I'd say 10 is a good number. Even if you don't have 10 Junkions, collectors could split a box. It would be awesome. I wonder what you could upgrade to get a Brainstorm and Chromedome classics?....

I'm so getting both mainline ones.

Two of the coolest figures to come from the movie line are now getting even cooler. I need a back up Mindwipe now.

I'm not going to bother picking up another Mindwipe or Skyhammer. With these upgrades they will earn the prestigious honor of relocating from the "movies" shelves to the "classics" shelves. No greater achievement can be earned by a movie figure.

If you read Seibertron.com's year in review you'd know that Skyhammer is one of my favourite figures of all time. The only problem I had was his rotors sticking out the back.

They just fixed that.

Awesome.
(They need to mold a plug to cover up the hole for his old rotors though)

Seeing as most of you may well know my complete and total hatred for the movie lines and their designs, it may come as a surprise that I own both of these. It may also come as a surprise that the only thing I dislike about them is their heads... or maybe not I don't know.

My only problem with this is that what originally drew me to Skyhammer was the wicked backswept rotary blades on his torso.

Perhaps but seeing as though that Hot Rod wasn't colored for the protector armor, I don't count that. I just chalk that up to happy coincidence.

Hasbro should personally invite Headrobots to sell things at Botcon while being fed chocolates and champagne by Aaron Archer himself; these guys do so much to sell backstock of figures that weren't quite "there" on original release.

I have both figures so Im all in, Im loving Highbrow. Im kind of on the fence about the fan made bat mode that converts into a robot that looks nothing like G1 Mindwipe. Screw Hasbro, I hope CHMS makes G1 colored versions of Mindwipe and Skyhammer to go with these sets.

I was impressed when I got Blood, hooked when I got Butcher, and psyched to hear about the Bonzaitron upgrade.

Now these? I'm all in. I've got my two Mindwipes... just need an extra Skyhammer

Although I'm with my brother on these guys, I must say I am a slight bit disappoint that these 2 got new Headmasters first over something like Energon Scorponok/Dark Scorponok. I do hope they have plans for him though.

The transition from Movieverse to Classics has become a more entertaining option since the addition of add-on sets and such like (Hello Shapeways!).

These look superduper!
The Mindwipe upgrade looks freakin awesome, loving the 'Bat' mode and that head is a treat!
I love Skyhammer in his current mode but the cheeky upgrade to Highbrow is a great idea. With reference to a repaint, there was a KO of Skyhammer floating around in white. A touch up with some blue paint would make this homage update spot on in my opinion, although tracking said KO down is another thing!

You can take apart his cockpit canopy and paint it in transparent red. I'm sure that'll help ignore the different blue.

I don't have a Skyhammer and I'm not a fan of Highbrow but I'll get them anyway. Though this saves me from having to make a Headmaster for Mindwipe myself. Having trouble getting mine into a good bat form but I'd be focusing on robotmode anyway.

Of course, all this is hypothetical at this point. They have no intention of releasing them anytime soon, after all. >:oP
