Oh no that sucks! Better get one now. If these upgrades do indeed get produced, the cost of both Mindwipe and Skyhammer is going to climb seriously.

I feel your pain about the shelves. A while back I thought it would be cool to display all my figures with their spring loaded weapons charged right? Looked cool. Until one day my cat rubbed up on a shelf, firing a missile across the room that started in international shelf incident. After 2 hours of cleanup and rearranging, the only victim was my G1 Spinister who had to be replaced, but it was terrifying watching a missile fly across the room knocking figures off of shelves and chain reacting more missiles.

Thanks for the advice and story I just ordered one and glad I did. Mark ups are bad in this hobby without upgrades. Remember iGear's Kup head? Announced while/before he was at retail? Good times...

I love the Highbrow headmaster set. Too bad the color of the helicopter is not a lighter blue, but realize that has nothing to do with the upgrade.

What's the Junkion set? It's hard to keep track of all the upgrades

It is a fictitious upgrade similar to Maiden Japans Junkion upgrades. Early in this thread their was some consent that this a good place for Headrobots to be right now, and how nice it would be if they could mass produce a Junkion kit for 10 unique bots or something. Just read back, unfortunately their is no such kit announced at this time.

Welp. Just placed my order today for a replacement ROTF Mindwipe. With shipping, it was was nearly twice as much as I originally paid for one at Kmart back in the day.

Such is life!

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. Not sure why the Junkion kits should bump up from resin kits to ABS plastic. But I also realize that by doing that it changes their business model from hobby to full time business.

Mine just arrived from Toywiz. I was just about to come on here and be like, "Everbody, there's still two left from Toywiz at a semi-reasonable price, and they're a legit company, too!" But then their price jumped to $55 from $40. WTH! It's just as well. They also did a pretty pathetic job of packing the toy, causing Mindwipe's box to be dinged. Bleh, not recommended.

At first I was like "Sweet, I already have these two figures! Yes! I will not have to buy an inflated movie fig!" But now, I'm looking at all my minions that will be left behind when Mindwipe gets promoted to "Classics" status and I might end up picking up another one....$55? That hurts.

Could keep them together? They aren't too overdetailed or exotic like some movie figures.

I have a few movie figures in my only (classics) shelf, like Blackout, Mindwipe, Bludgeon, Incinerator, and even ROTF Demolisher [who I deem is Rampage]. My shelf represents one universe of Transformers, with a mix of all figures that are worthy moulds of their characters. Look at the complexity in Generations Kups details. Doesn't bother me to add certain movie figures that aren't overly insect or ugly as hell. I got some Cybertron in there, and even a few animated, since one is a bike, and one is a part organic, so its okay for them to be curvy. I love having such a wide variety on one shelf, makes cybertronians seem so diverse and unique.

So ya, Bring the minions with Mindwipe, hehe.

Well, maybe they can come too. I like showcasing upgraded or imported figures in a lineup too, so maybe they can just hang out low and behind him or something. Does anyone know of any TF lore in which Mindwipe traveled around with minions?

I just ordered and received Mindwipe. Better to be safe than sorry. I still regret missing Hardhead when he was reasonable.

Actually, ebay is showing about $70 right now for Mindwipe after shipping. Yikes. I'd jump on this one soon. It can only go up from here.

And Mindwipe is an overnight success! You know, I don't remember HardHead Blistering in price quite so fast. I'm good now, scored a loose, dusty one from the local Toy guy. Ok so, uhm.... when are these going to come out again?

I think you're right. I know after I got my Headrobots upgrade for him, I sold the spare MISB I had and it did not even sell for retail. But I had a very happy ebay customer.

I think I AM going to go back and pick up that Skyhammer I saw for $15 so that I can have one for my movie shelf and one for the upgrade...

Since TRU still carry quite a bit of DOTM figs I happened to spot Skyhammer and only 1. Naturally I grabbed it fast thinking of this news a short while back. Has anyone heard any news regarding Headrobots upcoming projects especially word involving Skyhammer?

Don't hold your breath, I doubt we'll see the Skyhammer upgrade before the end of the year. They still have to put out Blood DX and/or Drone (they said one of those will be their next release), then they said they already have a definitive mold for Ronin (Banzai-tron upgrade), and probably Skullgrin update will come out before Darksol and Savant.

I can't wait to have both the Skyhammer and the Mindwipe upgrade, but I wouldn't be surprised if they would come out in 2013.
I'm also waiting impatiently for Drone, that isn't even at preorder stage yet

Not exactly. The upgrade set for movie set whirl was released as a store exclusive resin kit about one year ago. It was named "Gyro".
The upgrade set for movie set deluxe Bludgeon is now called "Blood DX" and should come out shortly.
Drone is an upgrade kit which should turn HFTD Tomahawk and/or DOTM Vortex into Whirl.
