Help Identifying Autobot

Postby DiacloneVanguard » Sat Jan 28, 2012 7:19 pm

..I picked up an upper half of an Autobot that looks like it's from the Cybertron or later series. It is the same mold as Excellion/Hot Shot. I can't seem to find it anywhere on Seibertron's toy galleries. It has a yellow face, blue eyes, red forehead, white shoulders and chest with red trim and silver Autobot symbol. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Getaway homage, not Breakdown homage.
If you've read Exodus, wanna read the War For Cybertron comic? PM me.

This is Sabrblade we're talking about. His ability to store trivial information about TV shows is downright superhuman.

Unfortunately he's not.

Breakaway was in the 2007 movie line, and part of a Walmart-exclusive assortment of repaints. Others included:

Movie Big Daddy
Movie Jolt (modeled after G1 Road Hugger and G2 Jolt)
Movie Divebomb
Movie Grindcore (modeled after G1 Crush-Bull, a Japanese figure)

Movie Crankcase
Movie Decepticon Fracture (modeled after Gobots Crasher)

Funny thing is, they were meant for the Classics line, but were put into the Movie line instead to increase sales.
Top 5 Priorities: 1) BW Neo X-7 Elphaorpha 2) Universe 2003 Night Slash Cheetor 3) RiD Landfill (regular, not the yellow) 4) BW Neo D-35 Magmatron 5) BW Convobat (red) & Megalligator (purple)

Also in the market for an Arms Micron Firebolt and Pinpointer.

..Thank you. This is why I never saw this figure. I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart and I boycott anything with the Bay Trans Formers packaging. (personal preference)..

Even if they were originally meant as G1 characters in new forms? Like Big Daddy, Jolt, Grindcore, Breakaway and Crankcase were?

I suppose I could let them slide as long as they have what I consider to be true Transformers mold recolors. I just don't care for Bay's Trans Formers, and you know I might have gotten them if I had seen them in stores. It's just difficult to keep up sometimes.
