Well, I finally got my hands on some HF:Breakout sets, Evo and Toxic Reapa.
They are both fine, but a dollar more pricey, and only for 1 less canister and 1 pair of handcuffs. They're not overpriced, but nor are they cheap.
The sets themselves are pretty cool. Evo looks good if you take a yellow 2.0 Hero foot and stick it on his back like on Rocka, as this fills in his flat-and-empty back considerably. His giant ROTF Megatron gun arm is pretty awesome too.
Toxic Reapa has a horribly stupid name but an awesome design. Unlike most of the 2.0s and onward, I actually had to look at the instruction manual. He has a 2003 Rahkshi (spelling?) style head (unfortunately, non-Glatorian head compatible as a result), and a 2.0 Socket piece in clear orange to go with it for light piping.
The clear green 2.0 armor pieces are also pretty cool for people who love shiny, green, see-through pieces (like me!)
And they both come with little Hero cores with codes on them for a cruddy online game.
I've tried it out, and LEGO has tried to make an FPS without a decent camera or control scheme.
You can only jump when the game lets you, and you cannot aim with the mouse, it is automatically done for you instead. Until LEGO improves it dramatically, my codes are staying un-entered.
In the end, it was a $19 well spent.
What recent decision of Hasbro can't the above picture apply to?
