High Moon Studios and Ford Australia are teaming up to turn the Ford Falcon into a Transformers: Fall of Cybertron character. Fans will vote on the various characteristics of the vehicle and High Moon Studios will in turn create concept art of the vehicle in both modes to be revealed on August 22nd.

Click here to read the original article on the CarsGuide.com.au.

To kickstart the action, Ford fans are invited to hit the company’s brand and Falcon Facebook pages, and vote on which model should be the basis for Transformer.
The Ford-loving public will decide on model, colour, name – and whether it should be a good-guy Autobot or a Decepticon baddie.

Click here to visit the Official Ford Australia facebook page and vote for the various characteristic of the vehicle/Transformers. The current poll is to determine the character's allegiance, Autobot or Decepticon.

To celebrate the launch of the new video game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Ford and Activision are giving you the chance to create an Aussie Transformers Ford Falcon. Over the next four days we’ll run polls inviting you (our fans) to vote on a selection of characteristics, which will make up our Falcon Transformers car. Should the Ford Falcon Transformers car be an Autobot or a Decepticon?

Given that Bumblebee is basically the Holden Commodore re-badged, it would only make sense for the Falcon to be a 'Con.

Barricade IMO. We need more main :CON: so the chances of autobots losing is higher. :HEADHURTS:

The question is, will it make an appearance in-game?

Don't have a FaceBook, anyone mind voting on him being a Decepticon for me?

Also, colors should be white and black, as well as the name of Wheelbarrel. Don't ask about the name...

dont have a facebook? thats the first time ive heard that on the internetz.
but sure ill vote for him being a con even though the car doesnt look anything like what i would expect to be a decepticon, though that would be deceptive and smart....
i wont vote for that name though. sorry.

and i hope he doesnt make an ingame appearance(unless he looks totally badass or cool.)
i really dont want another earth vehicle in the game after the G1 prime DLC thing for preorder.

Not allowed to have one. :-x

They turned Jazz, usually a race-Porsche, into his current design, I don't see why they wouldn't give it a Cybertronian twist.

if this bot gets a cybertronian vehicle form for the game then im fine but if not then i wanna see one bad@$$ robot form on him.

and what other suggestions are there for the name? cuz i was thinking either Runamuck/about or WheelBarrel(the name's growing on me)

At the end of the day, our votes are going to be pointless.

He's going to be Barricade. The new anti-Bumblebee, the anti-Holden.

Such a shame Australian Police drive around in Holden's these days.

Holden is the Australian arm of GM, just as Opel is the European arm.

Among other vehicles, Holden designed the hatchback version of the Chevrolet Cruze, and of course the Chevrolet Camaro that became Bumblebee, the underpinnings of which are the GM Zeta platform, created for and donated by Holden's large family car, the Holden Commodore. The Commodore was sold briefly in the U.S. as the Pontiac G8. Holden vs Ford rivalry is in-grained in Australian motor culture; the Ford Falcon is the Commodore's traditional rival. While both vehicles borrow some pieces from their parent companies' international parts bin, both vehicles are unique compared to the (approximate) equivalents in other large markets such as the U.S.; both are large and powerful, are trimmed of the bloat found on U.S. cars, eschew the U.S's preference for wallowy performance for a more European sports style, and as rear wheel drive vehicles, their highly-tuned versions can be compared to Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi sports variants.

Not really. It shares the same zeta platform chassis, (and engine)but that's about it. Body is completely different. The re-badge of the Commodore is the Chevy Caprice.

Never know. All there asking is input for a few characteristics of a potential new character. NOt which director we want to see for the next TF movie. Your right through that ultimetly, the higher ups will have the final say.

Why is it bad that the police drive holdens?

Because if they were to make him Barricade then it leaves the door open for a potential toy, but it would be realistically inaccurate to deco it in Blue and White checker board stripes.

Unless some of the more weirder States like Victoria let their Police drive Fords, but I only ever see Holdens around here, and sometimes other brands but they're normally parked on the side of the road, unmarked, and people slow down a lot when we see them.

We have the results of Ford Australia and High Moon Studios effort to transform a Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo into a Transformers: Fall of Cybertron character. Fans were asked to determine the characters faction, color, etc. Here's the resulting character Autobot Falcatron!

There's a new Transformers character on the block - the first ever giant robot created by fans. Working together with Activision and Ford, more than 1,000 Australian Facebook users have shared their ideas, images and concepts, literally transforming the iconic Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo sedan into a new character to stand alongside Optimus Prime.

The car looks cool. Actually, the robot looks cool too but isn't it a bit close to G1 Skids?
