You knw what was really, REALLY annoying about ten years ago?

Someone would ask your opinion on something in a wrestling forum, then when you'd reply a random tard would quote your post, delete half and put in big bold letters "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU *whatever*.

Then about two or three years later, whenever you'd post something or try to have a discussion in a thread, veery post would be followed by a 'what?'

You can take that statement, shine it up real nice, turn it sideways and stick it straight up your candy ass, Jabroni.

Yeah, I gave up on the WWF just before Ultimate Warrior retired.

Nothing will ever be cooler than Demolition.

There is nothing awful about greased, muscled, half-naked men pretending to fight whilst rolling around grabbing each other. NOTHING.

So, what other things is the general population of HMW interested in?

Me, I like a bit of Prog, especilly modern prog, the likes of Opeth (hence the charecter name), Ayreon (who's album the Universal Migrator also inspired one of my charecters), Tool, Dream Theatre, Porcupine Tree, and the Mars Volta (im sure ive forgotten some, but ahh well).

As delicious as prog is, nothing beats post-punk and new wave. Grab some Talking Heads, B-52s, Siouxsie and the Banshees or Blondie, and we're talking.

I'd rather grab a baseball bat and beat them. ^_^

But I like Punk Rock. Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag, Misfits, Pist, East Coast Panic, The AG's, Circle Jerks, The Business, Bouncing Souls, Showcase Showdown, Dropkick Murphys Bad Religion, Quincy Punx, The Bristols, The Queers, Rancid's first three albums... Good music.

Never heard any talking heads, but the B-52s are good fun, and the very few songs ive head of the other two bands were listenable, but I have always got the impession with all three bands that the few songs I've heard were the only worth hearing.

There's a few good punk bands there AZ.... and Rancid. I have only heard one good rancid song, and the NOFX cover was better.

Ahh...NOFX...that takes me back. Heavy Petting Zoo was a great album. Hotdog in a Hallway is such a great love song that my wife and I made sure it was played at our wedding reception.

Passed the punk phase nowadays. Indie is where all the good stuff is at now.

Indie was good in the 90s and early this decade, the vast majority of the rubbish we get now is pale immitations of **** music from the 80s, or the strokes/frans ferdinand, who are pale **** coppies of eachother.

Now Blur, Raidohead, The Eels, Supergrass, Beck, the Beta Band and a few others I cant remember off hand), thye were good, shame a lot of them have stoped making music, or lost the plot, or both.

Radiohead is still pumpimg out gold. There's tons of good stuff out there. Arcade Fire, Band of Horses, British Sea Power, Fleet Foxes, Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend (highly recommended, regardless of musical tastes)...and that's just naming a few of the top my head. Granted, I've mellowed out in the past 5 or so years. Still, the Indie scene is producing tons of good stuff.

I started on Indie and 70s rock, then got into metal and punk and the like, and have kinda 'mellowed out' since I discovered Pink Floyd and then discovered that modern bands do prog too.

Sorry for the late attempt at a reply to something on the last page.

Fearless Echoes wrote:Never heard any talking heads.

Blasphemy. Talking Heads produced some great stuff before they went their separate ways. You've never heard Burning Down the House, Psycho Killer, or Once in a Lifetime? All classic songs.

I usually have them mixed into playlists with B-52's, REM, Police, New Order/Joy Division, and other mostly mid 80's stuff, for when I need to do work at night.

Try to find a copy of their Sand in the Vaseline compilation album if your interested as it does contain most of their bigger songs.

Alright guys, it's been a week and we said to give it a week.

So take the music stuff to the random thread and give us your thoughts on how the missions have been going after a full week and what changes you feel need to be made to make it all better.

Even if that means repeating yourself from stuff you've said during the week.
