for me its my MIB G1 original Shockwave and AM Thunderwing MISB UKG graded at 75-80% a very rare toy.

I'm so happy with my collection I have mostly boxed know due to cuts etc... I have a Boxed Optimus prime and I might get the Jetwing DOTM Prime if it becomes cheaper at some point.

Aug 11 Birfday and luck of good timing and a couple large sales, I can knock Fort Max off my list. (I get a lousy Fort Max and Ryan gets a Grand Max lol consider me jealous)

Also good timing and Xmas to me, G1 Scorponok and Stunticons are off the list as well as minty fresh Encore Constructicons.(my Xmas was like 1986-87 all over)

I guess now Fire Guts Ginrai(have all other PM Prime variants including Nucleon Quest now),
Overlord I keep hankering for.....................Lot of $$$$ for one dude however and he is not Fort Max/Grand Max size.

Dumb grail that's hard to find at a good price?
Getaway, all I need to complete the full size Head/Targetmaster lines(not including the smaller later versions). Just need him and Powermaster, I have the gun as for some reason I cannot find my original anywhere(one of like 2 I am missing from when I was young)

The day I got this guy I was all smiles, my roommate at the time didn't quite get it.
114.JPG

I had been looking for one and he seems to pop up on ebay every now and then, but I never wanted to drop the cash on it, but one day I decided to end the inner turmoil and go for it. Not sure what it is about the Armada Prime mold in the clear plastics, but I was mesmerized from the moment I saw it.

Other grails I have added to my collection are sealed G2 Go-Bots Optimus Prime and Megatron.
e-hobby Ghost and Black Starscreams, ok technically I bought them when originally released, but they were the first major Transformers purchase I had made when I started to collect Transformers, I've often thought about having them slabbed.
The Cybertron Sky Terror sword team was much harder for me to get at a reasonable price and took several years. I had had the Sunstorm piece for a while and always came up short on Thrust and Ramjet. Missing them on the bargain table at Dairycon I was a little sad for the rest of the day. One day I managed to find both of them still sealed up and bought them. It was like getting one step closer to finishing in impossible puzzle(if that makes any sense).

My number one that I own is Superlink Megazarak. Always eluding me on the secondary market and next to impossible at times to find even on ebay. I scored him when someone basically listed him poorly on the ol' ebay. Bringing him home he completes my Energon Scorponok display.

Number one grail for me to get will be a G1 Black Zarak. My brother tells me every year he 's gonna get me one for my Birthday or x-mas, only to raise my hopes so he can squash them and laugh at me when I don't get one. I must own this toy!!!

A factory sealed G1 Headmaster Horrorcon: Snapdragon, would score an 80 when cased and graded. And from what people have said this dude is like rocking-horse **** to get hold of.

I used to have him as a kid. He never left my side. Pretty pricey these days though. Someday i'll own him again.

I need to correct something prior, I'm still on a quest to acquire them as my holy grails.

1. Victory saber

2. Dezaras

3. G1 Scorponok

I'm still hopeful to be able to acquire at least one of them this 2012.

This year has been outstanding for me in terms of acquiring some of my grails. I bought myself a G1 Jetfire (nearly complete and in the box) for my birthday while my mother bought me a working G1 Shockwave to go along with it. For my wedding, my wife bought me a complete Deszaras and for Christmas she got me an incomplete Fortress Maximus (hopefully I can complete him soon).

Looking forward to 2012 I'd like to finish my G1 Monstructor. Damn GPS has destroyed Bristlebacks legs and I can't find a replacement for a reasonable price. That would finish off my collection of American gestalts.

My list of grails at this point includes Lio Kaiser, Raiden, Blue Bacchus, Grandus, and Overlord. Maybe with some luck 2012 can see one of them come off the list and onto my shelves.

Rotf recon ironhide is starting to look like a grail now, Never once seen him in shops and is a rare find outside of the US.

I got the G2 Stormtrooper set MOSC UK edition and one spainish version a few years ago. Tried to sell them on EBay and no one really wanted them.

I want Fortress maximus this year so I'm considering not buying any at all but him this will then also raise my cash reserves for next year.

Current Grail: Metalhawk. MIB. Complete. I never thought I would obtain my previous Grail (MIB complete Overlord) so I don't feel so intimidated. Atleast the figures I consider Holy Grails are only expensive. Not like Shining Light Unicron, or some lucky draw in which there are only 10 in existence or some such craziness!

I don't have any of my grails, I barely have the cash to buy the normal figures I want (although I just got a new job yay me! So that could change soon) but the biggest (in terms of grail-ness, not size)grails on my list are E-hobby black destroy repaint Robot Masters Victory Saber and G2 Clench. Man I'd really love to have those guys...

MIB Apeface as snapdragon is loney in his box
Botcon Dreadwind or the Exclusive set with all five figures as I think they do look really cool!!

I have no real "Holy Grails" in my collection, even if I do have quite a few rare Transformers. Luckily, there are no Transformers that I ever felt I HAD TO HAVE (but was unable to aquire for a long time).
I only ever had a burning desire for toys I couldn't have when I was a kid; back then it was mostly focused on MASK toys like Outlaw and Laser Command. I was able to get those 'Holy Grails' when I finally started making my own money, and that really did feel amazing.
Perhaps the only TF which almost deserves the term 'Holy Grail' to me was getting a mint complete (but loose!) G1 Bludgeon, which I did spend quite a long time to find. But he is by no means my most expensive Transformer.

My most expensive Transformer I ever bought was a Boxed Giftset Menasor in good condition. it was £220 that was waaay back i was working as a temp at Reed.

Personally I regret getting rid of my old Transformers which i did as i was fixated on Money and feel bad know.

I still ahve my old scorponok which I got restored just need to find some bits for it and it will be whole again.

I think my Jizai Cyclonus is probably up there. These were getting listed one at a time by a single seller on ebay and going for silly money. I must have been outbid on maybe 8 or 10 auctions before I finally managed to snag one. Looks great but kind of sucks as a toy unfortunately. Lack of posability, joints that don't support the weight needed of them and a tendency for the 'post and hole' joints to fall apart are all pretty major problems. If it ever got the remake treatment that Jizai's Wheelie has recieved recently, updated with ball joints and in a sturdier material than the original used I'd probably bite and pick up a more solid version, but in all honesty Universe/Henkei/RtS Cyclonus has made it a bit unnecesary for a 3rd party version at this stage.

I know I sound fairly negative about the figure but I do love the way he looks and don't have any regrets about having dropped a big lump of cash on it. I have decided against any more Jizai originals, although I'm in the market for the Superalloy version of his Wheeie design.

I was five or six when the g1 toys came out, so I had just about all of them from the first three years of manufacture, including guys like Fortress Maximus. I sold most of them last year ... but then it got me obsessed again when I saw all the cool masterpieces that had come out since then.

Right now I would like to get a king grimlock MP in the more silvery golden colors but I can't justify the price on it.

My grail, that I finally purchased after I sold so many other g1 transformers, was the blue blue streak. Of course it's a diaclone, but when I saw it on ebay I had to get it no matter the cost. Used to think about why my bluestreak was gray when the catalog showed him blue.

Finally bought 1 of the 2 grails I've been hunting.

Alternators Rumble. I've been after this guy for the best part of 4-5yrs, and he arrived today.
I just decided that I'd mucked about long enough, so bought one from a seller on eBay. The postage and the possible customs charges etc (which I did get hit with doh!) always put me off in the past.

So just HA Barricade next then...

I got a BW Neo Elephaorpha (Elephorca) a while back. It took me forever to find one on ebay and when I did, it was pretty pricey, but worth it (to me anyway) and I just acquired an RM-23 RobotMasters Lio Convoy (the metallic one that came with the DVD). Took me forever to track one of those down.

I also recently finally got the Unicron.com Golden Discs with Reader set, though I guess it's not technically a 'grail' any longer since the entire reason I was able to get one is because BBTS got more of them in stock (after many many months of it not being available anywhere at all, including ebay).

The only thing I'm still questing for is a Botcon 98 Antagony. The only one I've seen for sale anywhere is on Amazon for $850. I can't justify that price, even for a grail. I've paid stupid money for a figure before (around $200 for the TFCC Punch/Counterpunch), but I can't do $850 for an Inferno repaint.

My holy grail is Binaltech Black Convoy. I actually was fortunate to score two of them from the Wonderfest but sold one last year.
