how come ratchets not in the tf movie game?

Yes, Ratchet is the doctor of the abots, but he did have a gun in the movie. They could have put him in the game.

Weapon: Saber Blade
Bonecrusher and Brawl can be seen in a Starscream level. But you cant play as them. I dont know why Bonecrusher, Brawl, Ratchet, and Frenzy arent playable. They skipped over so many things in the game. I really wanted to play as Bonecusher. Another thing i dont get is why you cant pick what ever bot you want to use in free roam after you beat it. I cant even enjoy the G1 Jazz skin.

Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
Brawl and Bonecrusher are IN the game, you just can't play as them.

However, my guess is that there will some cool mods for the PC version some time (as long as there's a community for it).

I know Bonecrusher, Brawl, and Ratchet are playable on the PSP, but only in multiplayer... and so far not many people has been online to host a game :( In addition in multiplayer you can play as 23 characters including: Hound, Thundercracker, Wheeljack, etc.
