I broke my leg Thursday..... had my cast put on Monday and now i'm stuck at my mothers house for at least 4 weeks since i'm unable to walk back to my apartment... which is on the third floor. Plus... no Driving since its my right leg...

This is all that I got

1) TV with No Cable
2) My Notebook that can pick up a internet signal from another house
3) NO 360 because my mother still hates Video Games
4) Homework because I started grad school yesterday but didn't go since I had no ride.
5) no books to do the homework lol

All i've got is Pac-Man on my phone..... any ideas?

Read a book, or best read lots of books!
Get your mum to buy you a few books, like the Discworld novels from Terry Pratchet, one you won't be bored, two your mum will be happy so every body is a winner. :D

That was like the only thing that got me going wile I had a broken leg, that or read comics and Mangas, or get someone to bring you your school books and learn.

Have a god recovery.

What if you could combine porn and kitbashing? Like "Pornbashing". What could the word be used for etc, is all up to yourself.

Anyways... get some sleep (especially if you're experiencing that you're struggling to keep your head up, and not down face flat on the table) or read a book. Online novels, also work.

I personally find myself just searching for anything on Wikipedia, bands, music, artists bio, games, tv-shows... you name it.

watch vids on Youtube, is always a classic suggestion.

I don't think you need to go to youtube to watch it. I've found it on all of these networks:
CW
TBS
Cartoon Network
Fox

Seriously, FG is on a lot.

You're solution lies within this.

Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye;
Four and twenty blackbirds
Baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened,
They all began to sing.
Now, wasn't that a dainty dish
To set before the King?

The King was in his countinghouse,
Counting out his money;
The Queen was in the parlor
Eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden,
Hanging out the clothes.
Along there came a big black bird
And snipped off her nose!

If you figure it out, you'll be on your way to a life of awesomeness.

Really? I have all twelve episodes. I'd put them up, but the episodes are 24 minutes long, and even if I split them in half, both halves would still be two minutes over the limit.

What kind of internet connection do you have? If it's DSL or Cable, try using Azureus or another Torrent client to download all of them at once.

If anime is crack, then Torrents are the little plastic bag-thingy.

every single southpark episode. and they have a link to another website that has a bunch of family guy episodes. a good website for TV shows in general is: sidereel.com

good luck, dude. i was in a similar situation when i tore tendons in my ankle about a year ago. it sucks, but when you make it, you will be even more grateful of the things you once took for granted.

(and unless they've changed it, ABC has every LOST episode up to watch.)

I broke my leg pretty bad last January. I mostly just played video games and watched TV. Maybe you can find some online games sites on your computer. addicting games.com is a good one. I also just sleep and eat a lot. I think I gained about 10 pounds during the 3 months I was in a cast.

I dunno what type of internet connection it is because i'm ripping it off the neighbors house. I can load youtube vids really fast so i'm thinking its a cable internet. Most people with DSL have those 2Wire routers.

I had ACL ( Anterior Cruciate Ligament ) surgery on my left knee on May 29th 2007 which is now healed however they discovered a hole in the bone about the size of a quarter because the cartilage had worn away somehow so they poked tiny holes all over the surface of it to try and stimulate some slimy coating so to speak to cover it up a little and the doctor said I'm looking at at least one full year to heal for that part.

Point is that I spent three full months recovering at home and I'm still doing physical therapy for at least a few more months I imagine but having a huge dvd collection as well as video games for my Xbox 360, PS2 and cable tv plus a lot of reading and internet helped a lot but even then the last month was pretty rough as I was really going stir crazy and wanted to be useful at work again.

If your options are that limited that really sucks so maybe start up some writing ?

Do some poems or short stories, they don't have to be well thought out developed characters or anything but just start writing and it may be a creative outlet for you.

What about drawing or painting too ?

interesting suggestions Galvatron, its just that I have zero artistic abilities but I have been practicing on the Guitar. That has helped me allot because its something i've always wanted to learn but just never had the time too. I just learned how to play Interpol, Pioneer to the Falls.

Writing sounds like a good idea, I'd love to write a screen play. I know I could write something better then whats been coming out of hollywood these days (Cavemen.. Seriously?)

Side question... my mothers birthday is coming up and I wanted to buy her a Dog. What do you think of these breeds

Dobermen
Boxer
English Bulldog (Would be after because they are MAD expensive in Texas)
German Shepherd

We have had all these dogs before at one time or another but which one do you guys think is the easiest to train?

You don't remember which was easier to train? Well, I tell you, I only buy purebred dogs and if I were to choose between those, and money weren't an option, I'd go for the bulldog. I know in my neck of the woods you're lucky to get them for under $1000 but they are just so awesome. I have a friend that has a doberman and it tears her house apart. German Shepherds are great watchdogs, but don't they have hip problems as they age?

You know, a pug is a friendly, happy little dog that doesn't bark too much. You should consider one of those adorable guys.
