How do you clean them?

I picked up a dirtied figure today at a flea market and was wondering how I could go about cleaning it without damaging the stickers and paint apps on the diecast. The most obvious area needing help is his tailfin, but he's got splotches throughout.

Also, anyone know who this guy is? The stickers on his tailfin say Jazz, but none of the other stickers resemble what I know Jazz to have. Not going to complain if it's a fake since I didn't pay much, but I am curious to know what's up with the #1 and oddball sticker decals (rainbow power, hoooo!!!!!)

Ignore Vehicon <.< I snapped the shot of them together for the master picture list I keep on my PC.

Cleaning him will involve a lot of q-tips, I know that much. And that looks like G2 Jazz (you forgot to fold up the feet onto his shins :P )

Ha! I did the opposite. I folded them down because I thought that's how his feet went xD

He is more stable with them up though.

Q-tips make sense :) Not sure if I should use plain water or use something else. This guy is honestly the first diecast toy I can remember owning and since I've never had to clean my tin toys, I'm not sure what's a favorable cleaning solution/method >.<

Thanks for your help!

Try water first, see how far it gets you.

Anyone ever thought of using a soap-free make-up remover?

I use something similar when cleaning the residue left behind when I'm replacing stickers. I also use my girlfriends make up brush to dust them off. And yes, she does give me the raised eyebrow when I raid her make up bag.

I'd use Q-tips and a sparing amount of alcohol, myself. Just don't use the alcohol around the stickers.

At least, this is what I use when cleaning off TFs I've gotten at yard sales.

Don't know that's I'd recommend the alcohol suggestion. That could potentially remove paint. Unless you know you're working on colored plastic...
