How Poseable is Cybertron Soundwave?

With my recent decision to lay off MISB for now, I'm looking at Cybertron Soundwave or Soundblaster. Looks very good in box, but how is he taken out? I hear that he has poseability and kibble problems. Had a look through the image gallery and doesn't look inspiring. Imposing though.

Any comments on how articulated this guy is? If I remove a toy from the box it's certainly not to stand him in the anatomical position.

Thanks!

He's got all the good joints: shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, etc. But with all his kibble you won't be able to pose him in any way. He's also go this weird sorta half knee thats used in his transformation that causes his legs to bend outwards, so he can't even stand up.

Cybertron Soundwave should be admired from pictures, and by looking through the clear plastic om the box he comes in.

Once you open him, all of that awesomeness vanishes.

I really hate figures that have a non-transformable shell, that ends up being a back pack. Think of Cyb Skywarp/Thundercracker's wings, if you know that figure. It's much like that.

The bombs won't stay inside of the poor connecting areas either. CRAP!

Laserbeak is awesome though!

I was never able to get mine to stand up in any position except for strait up. He is top heavy and his bot mode just doesn't do it for me. He sat in alt mode on a shelf for a few months, and then I traded him for a few Classics figures.

I own the Soundblaster version, he's amazing as a display piece(the ladies love his boots) but he can really only stand there, no flash poses.

mmmm...as the others have said, he's got the right joints at the right places, but the main limiting factors to it's poseability is the cockpit kibble on its forearms, and the weird-jointed shin, which makes it hard for it to do split-leg poses and hold them.

i love this toy to death though, its just one almost perfect update/homage to one of the best there is: G1 Soundwave.

plus, Laserbeak is just one FUN minicon!

The legs do have some issues, but even just standing straight up, you can still pose his arms. He can do the classic Laserbeak-on-the-arm pose. :APPLAUSE: I like to flip the right-arm kibble forward to use as a cannon (w/ a bit of imagination).

The bomb-weapons do indeed stay put in alt mode if you install them right- it's tricky, and it's not indicated in the instructions, but there is a way to orient them so they lock in tightly.

He's a great fig, 2 good modes and great accessories. Not terribly poseable, but a great display piece.

As everyone has said, he does have some issues with his shins bending at weird places. Due to the Transformation.

However he's got one of the coolest Laserbeaks i've seen made in a long time.

The little guy is just awesome. He Transforms into an octagonal bomb you can store in his chest.

But in hawk mode he's just amazing. his feet are poseable, his wings are poseable, even is head is poseable.

Very nifty Laserbeak.

Now i don't know why everyone has such a big problem with his arm kibble. Just fold it back, and it doesn't really get in the way.

His guns are pretty cool, and he is able to wield one, and have one shoulder mounted like his G1 self, or hold both in his fists.

Must admit his shield/cockpit is a little intrusive, but not too much.

He's a very nice homage to the Character, with some very specific flaws. namely his legs, but I've gotten him into some interesting poses. I can try to post some pics when i can get home and can pull him out of storage, to show you his poseability.

I'd sure appreciate if you could do that. So far most of the photos I've seen of him has him just kind of standing there. I really like to remove toys from packaging only if they can look really good posed on a shelf!

AFAIK, this IS the ONLY version of Soundwave which can do a classic "arm raised to chest level with Laserbeak perched on the forearm". in fact, this is the ONLY Soundwave with multiple points to which Laserbeak can be attached.

oh, and one of the laser cannon/bombs can be mounted at his shoulder to imitate G1 Soundwave's shoulder cannon look. classy!

I'm a huge fan of Cybertron Soundwave.
Sure, his shins have what I can only call a half-joint, causing them to flex outward, but with a little care, this actually helps his balance which would be otherwise hindered by the huge wings on his back. On my shelf, he's usually posed legs apart, one arm raised with gun in hand, the other held at hip level, with Laserbeak perched ominously on his shoulder.
