As I said before, nearly every Movie Con had mandibles. These days, "mandibles" = "evil", not "bug".
Besides, it's not like the name Dreadwing is so iconic that it has an iconic character image to go with it. It's as generic as "Knock Out" and "Makeshift" are.

Well, now we know it isn't Dreadwing, after all (since Dreadwing's a yellow/dark blue redeco of Skyquake, homaging no one).
