WE received the following press release by Hasbros Public Relations company concerning a special "mini-series" (maybe the pilot episode?) for Transformers: Prime called "Darkness Rising". Just read the press release right here:

THE HUB PRESENTS FIVE-DAY ORIGINAL MINI-SERIES EVENT
SHOWCASING ‘TRANSFORMERS: PRIME’

Week to Also Include: “Hub Exclusive: ‘Transformers: Prime’”
And Transformers-Themed “Hubworld” Episode

LOS ANGELES, Ca. – Fans of the enormously popular Transformers action-adventure entertainment franchise will revel in the upcoming television event on The Hub cable network – a five-part original mini-series, Monday-Friday, November 29 – December 3, showcasing “Transformers: Prime,” a new CGI-animated television series coming to the network. The Hub, a TV network for kids and their families, is a joint venture of Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc., and is available to 60 million U.S. cable and satellite households.

“Transformers: Prime” is produced for The Hub by Hasbro Studios. Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci and Jeff Kline are executive producers. Kurtzman and Orci served as executive producers of the feature films “Transformers,” “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “Star Trek.” Kline was also executive producer of the animated series “Jackie Chan Adventures.”

Prior to the five-day mini-series event, The Hub will spotlight “Transformers: Prime” with a Thanksgiving holiday weekend sneak preview of the mini-series and an action-packed lineup of “Transformers: Prime”-related programming that begins Friday, November 26. Kicking off the Transformers schedule is a special episode of the original series “Hubworld,” a weekly, half-hour, pop culture magazine that will be dedicated to the Transformers phenomenon, Friday, November 26 (3 p.m. ET).

“Hubworld”’s special “Transformers: Prime” episode will be followed by a half-hour behind-the-special, “Hub Exclusive: “Transformers: Prime’” (3:30 p.m. ET), which culminates with the premiere of the first two half-hour episodes (at 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET) of the “Transformers: Prime” mini-series, in which arch rivals the Autobots and Decepticons once again face-off in their epic rivalry for control of Earth. The all-new mini-series will feature iconic characters of the franchise, including Autobots Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, and the ominous Decepticon Megatron, as well as introducing new human characters to the action series.

Following the “Transformers: Prime” Friday lineup of programming, The Hub will showcase the highly anticipated new series with the five-day mini-series event, Monday-Friday, November 29-December 3 (6:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET). The week-long run will include three additional new episodes of “Transformers Prime” on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, December 1-3.

A full schedule of the “Transformers: Prime” and related programming follows. (All times ET).

“Hubworld” – Transformers-themed episode (Friday, November 26, 3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.) “Hubworld” is a weekly, live-action pop culture magazine show that infuses what's happening in the life of everyday kids with what's happening on The Hub television network. Actor-magician Justin Willman will hosts.

Wait... Is it only these five episodes that make up "Prime", or are these the premiere episodes. In other words, will there be more than this? :???:

Prime is scheduled for 65 episodes in all with season 1 being 26 or so episodes.

The Episode premiere Darkness Rising is the Pilot Episode with it being 5 prts.

GI Joe Renagades comes after Prime with its Premiere Pilot Episode being 2prts.

Also Caprica has been Canceled but is being replaced with a new show called Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome which focuses on William Adama and is befor BSG: Razor so he is going to be younger.

Also on Prime dont expect all 26 episodes of Prime to air at once it will be divided with 13 one time then the other 13 later on that season.

Also Prime has big voice actors in it such as Dyawne Johnson who has a new movie out called Faster and is also going to be in Fast & Furious 5. James Remar from Mortal Kombat in an unknown role and Daniel Badwiln.

I know Prime is about Megatron finding a new element that can create life.

Man, I gotta say, the designs that look good (Bulkhead, Ratchet, Ciffjumper, arguably Prime, Megatron and Soundwave) look REALLY good once they're fuly rendered up like this. I'm on the fence with Bumblebee and the others... I know that toys of these guys anytime soon is unlikely, but I think some of them would really have a nice place in the Generations overaching line.

looks like a video game tie-in to me. If the show looks like this, I'm a bit disappointed.

I can't wait for this series, I'm intrigued to see what they do with it.

The promotional poster looks like a nice high quality CGI render, BUT does anyone else think that the characters are just sort of standing there? Like the poses aren't really interesting at all, the only one that really looks like he's actually "ready for action" in some way is bumblebee, the rest of them are just sort of standing there doe-eyed, they actually look kind of bored with the whole thing.

Megatron and the other Decepticons, are just hanging around too, surely they could have made them look menacing in some way?

At the risk of being labelled GEEWUN, I'm just staring at the G1 movie poster on my wall right now, and the poses on Ultra Magnus and the rest are heroic and triumphant! Pointing their lasers at the sky at the looming threat of Unicron bearing down on them. Galvatron and the other Decepticons are swooping down on the Autobots from the sides, you get the sense from this image that the Autobots have a tough battle ahead of them, getting it from all sides. While the G1 poster I am referring to is old and airbrushed and has some weird proportions, it's still an engaging image, an attempt at something exciting!

Bear witness...

Image

And say what you want about TFA but the promo poster for that series had real movement and interest going on...

Know what I'm getting at?

Wow, you're right aKamarov, that is pretty underwhelming, hopefully it's a really early test render, because it's not doing it for me either. :(

Wait and see...

I'm actually impressed! Looks way better than I imagined! (hell, that's a lot better CG than Enr-Cyb, sort of nostalgic BW-BM level)
