I just have to say...

Originally, when I heard that MP-10 was going to be a new version of O Prime I was a little let down and at first felt that it was going to be like another repaint of the MP-01, only just a retool. >:oP

After many months of watching reviews and hearing pros and cons, I decided to pick mine up yesterday. Thank the Matrix I did!

This figure is the best of the best! Articulation, detail, engineering, and over all awesomeness are over the top! I have to give a special thanks to Takara for creating such a masterpiece (literally) and Hasbro for bringing it to us at an affordable price! :APPLAUSE:

:KREMZEEK:

Can't wait to get mine in. I'm still not sure how I'm gonna display him, though....

I got 1 for someone else, but as I'm looking at it, I get soured on the figure more and more. I would be displaying it in truck mode, but there's just too much kibble under the trailer and in the back (where the leg parts are) so it's a pass, even if it's affordable.

I'm battling myself on opening him or not opening him. Every time I see a post about the awesome articulation I'm tempted. Arg.

Let's hope Ultra Magnus v2 and Megatron V2 are equally as epic!

I got mine a couple days ago. Just opened him today.

This is without a doubt THE definitive Optimus Prime figure. The moment I saw it in person I could hear the iconic trumpeting "DAHHH-DAAAHHH-DA-DA-DA-DAAAAH" music from the G1 cartoon.

This version actually makes my 20th anniversary Prime look disproportionate and silly. It lacks the volume of die-cast metal and ball jointed wrists and head of the latter, as well as the wrist comlink, but makes up for it in sheer accuracy, detail, and accessories.

The HUGE version of the G-1's trailer complete with automatically extending stabilizers and front end struts lacks only the missiles for the repair module, the spring loaded roller-deployer and the color tech elements on the inner walls, but these are little things that don't really detract that much from the awesome whole. There should be end caps loaded with these things already!

It made me think of the days when toys actually came this way as a regular thing in terms of sturdiness, size, and variety and volume of accessories. They used to call something like this a "set" back in the day.

Ok, I'm done gushing now.

You should check out the decal set that reprolables has designed for this guy. You can add detail to the inner walls of the trailer if they seem lacking.

So I finally caved and opened him. I removed him and looked at the bottom of the box and didn't see instructions. "No biggie, it must be in the little added box under the trailer.. Nope, not there. Oh! Maybe they put it in the trailer?... Not there either." Where the heck are my instructions!? Am I overly tired and missing where they are or should they have been floating around in the bottom, under the plastic mounting? :???: :-(
