I meant that they have far more advanced technology than us

There was an episode of Star Trek: TNG where they explained that first contact is a very delicate process, and they usually have their eyes on a planet for a good long time before making a move. it could be if aliens are watching us, they're waiting for us to be mature enough on a social level to comprehend and deal with the kinds of issues we'd face out there.

Where exactly did you see this? Just cause you some some lights doesn't mean it was a UFO! LOL!I guess I would never believe in this stuff unless I actually encountered it myself.

UFO doesn't mean "Alien Spacecraft." It means "Unidentified Flying Object." Anything you see moving in the night sky that you can't identify what is it, is a UFO. So, yes, it does mean it's a UFO.

After I first read this thread I went on wikipedia and looked up a bunch of supposed UFO encounters
