You're supposed to feel cheated by Ironhide's death. It was a cold blooded murder, an execution. It was intended to be shocking, quick and cheat worthy. That's what a death like that is, in real life.

Doesn't lessen the impact or shock of it though.

Some people feel cheated. I personly think it was a horriable death but a big suprise.
