Wow Blurrz, that paint wash is amazing, looks almost like its made of real steel! :D
Mind telling where/what the sniper-rifle came from?

You're too kind :D

The sniper rifle still uses Jazz's weapon as a base, I just took a McFarlane Halo 3 Sniper rifle, then snipped the barrel and the scope and green stuffed it to the base.

Dry brushing was a part of it. Started the custom off with about a couple hours washing with inks. Then did the drybrushing with two different metallics for a couple days. Then mixed the shiny metallic with blue paint for the blue parts, and added red highlights.

So what's washing entail exactly?

I've done dry brushing. It was a bitch. Don't want to do it again.

Ah ok, I was going to say that scope and barrel looked awfully familiar.
And along with burn I'd like to also know how you got the wash to look the way it does :D

Thirded here. Is washing an easy process? I just want to know because, If I ever do happen to pick up Jazz, I'm doing something with him. I saw him at Wal Mart the other day, and he's to plain.

Basically with something like Jazz.. you want to get black into the details of the figure. Some people like to do that with primer. I think that's a bit excessive for the size of the figure, so basically I just used watered down black paint (2:1 water:paint) and washed the figure over and over again.

Then drybrushing can be explained here;

I can't even look at the retail release anymore. Looks so ugh.
