Over 200 TRANSFORMERS Comics will battle it out starting Thursday
San Diego, CA (June 22, 2011) – comiXology and IDW Publishing today announced a partnership to bring TRANSFORMERS comics to Android and the Web as the battle for Earth between AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS rages on.
Through this strategic undertaking, comics fans everywhere will now be able to experience every metal crunching battle of more than 200 TRANSFORMERS comics using comiXology’s Guided View™ Technology, enabling the reader to transition smoothly between different comic panels, mimicking the reading experience of a traditional print comic book.
“Working with IDW, one of the largest and most esteemed comic publishers in the industry, to launch their entire TRANSFORMERS comic library on Android is truly an honor,” said David Steinberger, CEO of comiXology. “IDW has really elevated TRANSFORMERS comics to a fan-favorite that our community has been waiting for.
All of the TRANSFORMERS comics will be available on the comiXology Android and Web platforms starting Thursday, July 23rd.

Today’s announcement comes just days after comiXology exceeded the one million mark of comic book downloads on the Android platform.
