I know this is a rough comparison but you get the general idea. $110 for 3rd party voyager sized figs is pretty good. Arcee was the same price and she is a Deluxe sized figure.

is it safe to say he in good proportion to Classics/Henkei Optimus?

Umm did you not see my post? It was only at the bottom of the last page.

Lets make it even easier.

I know. I really really want a better Ironhide then what we got from Hasbro, but two factors are keeping watching on the sidelines for the moment. Price and size. I'm just really focusing on Classics/Generations, and with Ironhide being as big if not slightly bigger then the Classics Vger Prime, it would look a little weird.

But when Impactor comes out, That's the scale I do want him in. I hope that they make him THAT size.

I feel the same way but we have until December ;)
I wish Impactor was this size but I doubt it is any bigger than Warpath.

With everybody concentrating on what these guys will look like in among the Classics toys there's been no mention of how well they'll scale alongside Bin/Alts. With Ironhide and Ratchet being two obvious omissions from those lines I figure that if I decide to pony up for these (and I am sorely tempted) that's where they'll be going.

I'm afraid that the vehicle mode of a van, will be considerably smaller the any of the Alternators (maybe windcharger/arcee). But from the height comparisons, I'm gonna say close to an inch shorter than Skids.... I have a different theory: Igear has created their OWN SCALE. 3 Seekers, a Prime, Ironhide and Racthet, and we are only half way through the year!

These toys are smaller than Binaltech/Alternity figures for sure. BT/Alternity are 1:24 scale and these figures in alt mode don't look nearly large enough to be at that scale.

I think you meant Binaltech/Alternators. Alternity figures are depressingly small

I saw my first one at Botcon LAST year and was glad I never spent the money! Not much more than a scout class!!

I agree. If Ironhide doesn[t look right with my classics figures, He'll stand right next to my MP-10.

Yes, when you take the accessory packages into account along with figure size, the prices don't seem too bad (although I still think they're too high and iGear's just trying to see how far they can push us). But they share a lot of the same stuff. If you're interested in just one figure that's great. If you want to get both, you're forking over a lot of cash for duplicate parts, even if they're color-coded for each figure. Why does not-Ratchet - you know, the "medical" specialist - need a combat knife? Or a tripod-mounted sniper rifle?

I want one "Mystery Machine" colored. I wonder what accessories would come with that one.

A giant sandwich? a "zoinks!" face? SCR-4 PPYD-00 minibot?

Anyway, I'm all for a combat medic having a combat knife. He can cut out bullets, or what have you. He can quickly strip wires and stuff, and maybe even remove replacement parts needed for repairs from unresponsive enemies.

You got me on the sniper rifle though.
