I've also been on the hunt for the Angry Birds Transformers. I didn't realize that they were Toys R Us exclusives when they first came out, passed on them at 40% off back around December 1st (urgh!!!) thinking that they'd be on clearance everywhere at some point, and now regretting that decision.

Fortunately, the Downer's Grove TRU had a decent assortment of the first wave so I picked up the single packs of Optimus Prime, Lockdown, Galvatron, Soundwave and Heatwave along with Sentinel Prime and Bludgeon. That's the first sighting I've seen of the initial releases since I first saw them back in early December at the Bloomingdale TRU. I also picked up the Deceptihog Revenge Galvatron, Grimlock and Thundercracker at the TRU on Butterfield earlier tonight and had ordered the Optimus racetrack set off toysrus.com earlier today.

If anyone sees the translucent Energon 5 pack, the Bumblebee racetrack or the single packed Bumblebee, help a brother out and let me know! I'd like to pick them up soon.

Butterfield Rd. TRU had one each of the new Leader Megatrons around noon so I bought both. Check your TRUs, Meg's out there!

My local comic shop, AF book in frankfort had the wave 1 deluxes and wave 1 and 2 voyagers. They are out of Motor Masters for the time being.

If anyone needs a silverbolt they have a bit of an abundance at the moment.

Springfield area sightings:

Walmart on Freedom Drive has wave 2 Robots in Disguise warriors, Drift and Optimus Prime. 2 of each.

Toys R Us had a couple of Combiner Wars Leader Armada Megatron.

TJ Maxx had two Generations Brainstorms, a Whirl and a Roadbuster.

Walmart by Golf Mil has a single RiD15 Drift, and 3 or 4 Optimus Primes (I bought one). TRU there has a sinhle Armada Leader Megatron.

The TJ MAxx Brainstorm stories are true. I just got the only one from the TJ Maxx in Oak Brook Terrace.

I've got a question about Brainstorm. Arcana is detached in the package, so I'm not worried about the sticking head issue. But, can you tell the head will get stuck when you're inserting it? Like, is there more resistance trying to put the head in, thus giving the impression it will be harder to pull it out again?

TRU on Butterfield had a couple each of CW Huffer and Blackjack tonight, I bought one of each.

The Target in downtown Chicago had one Motormaster this afternoon.
Thanks to Target's price match policy, I now have that Motormaster.

I got mine from HTS last week, isn't he great?! I love all the remolded parts, to keep him from being a straight-up Optimus repaint.

I did notice that his little head (giggity) tends to get stuck in its hidden position, it even popped off in his chest once. Beware.

Anyone finding combiner wars wave 2? Come on guys lets bring this sightings thread to life!!

My LCS got in their first shipment of wave 2 figures, but they only have enough figures for customers who preordered.

They received wave 1 a few weeks after they started showing up in stores. They received the wave 2 voyagers about 3 weeks before the first store spotting.

Long story short is that based upon previous shipment correlations, wave 2 should be popping up any time now.

Success! Around 6:00 tonight, Walmart in Addison had a single each of the comic Dragstrip, Breakdown, and Dead End. I left Dragstrip. They're coming out, be aware!

oh wow. After the Star Wars trailer today I forgot transformers exitsted for a few hours there.

The toys r us on 75th in downers grove had the drift and Optimus prime warrior class figures.

I hit C2E2 this weekend. As usual, there was no transformers toys or comics news. I did see a vendor with the new Star Saber Masterpiece figure for about $195.

Also for all you Western burbs folks, I found out that Chimera comics will be opening a new store in Woodridge at 75th and Lemont Rd, next to the movie theater.
