In-Hand Images of Takara's CH-01 Chronicle Optimus Prime Set

HK-TF member lowbcousin has posted some in-hand images of Takara's CH-01 Chronicle Optimus Prime two-pack featuring a reissue of G1 Optimus Prime, Deluxe DOTM Optimus Prime, and shared trailer. Images mirrored below.

It appears the Chronicle Deluxe DOTM Optimus Prime comes with a recolored version of the MechTech weapon that came with Deluxe DOTM Jolt.

We also see the reissue G1 figure compared to the Music Label Optimus Prime that came out a couple of years ago.

The trailer departs from the traditional split down the middle transformation and opens in a manner closer the third-party trailer produced by BTS.

The set also appears to come with an insert depicting the various iterations of Optimus Prime over the years as well as a few other Autobot commanders.

I guess I wouldnt mind getting this set. I just wish Hasbro would put out a set state side. Anyone know if a Hasbro set is forthcoming?

Unlikely. The trailer is just a plastic box, and as such has no play value for the kids.

2) BW II VS-18 Powerhug vs. Autocrusher
3) Universe 2003 Night Slash Cheetor
4) RiD Landfill (regular, not the yellow)
5) BW Convobat (red) & Megalligator (purple)

Also looking for any clear Arms Microns, like Shadow (Gora & R.A.), Hellflame and Shining (O.P. and R.A.).

Preparing to move to the US!

Just looking at the third pic down, which one is the G1 Chronicles Prime? I don't have the Music Label version. Is the Chronicles one on the right, with the blue windows and (looks like) remolded head?

Dammit, that G1 Prime looks nice! I don't want to have to get THIS as well....

The Music Label one is the one with the remolded head.

Thanks for that - looking at the darker red and blue, along with the blue windows, I thought it actually fitted in better with the Movie aesthetic - to me, it looks like a better 'fit' with the DOTM colour scheme - even the Prime on the Chronicles box has blue windows...

Ah, what do I know.... #-o

Yup, although I have a feeling the deluxe has been retooled for this to include a suitable hitch.

Meh, at least G1 Primes' stacks are the proper length. Not bad, but not exactly blowing my hair back.
I told the fire to go **** itself, and it did.

Too bad I have all my figs packed away for a move next weekend...are the G1 and the movie deluxe anywhere close to the same scale? I'm picturing them as fairly similar physical size, but not scaling to each other very well...meaning the trailer might look ridiculous with one of them. Where are THOSE pics?
