Autobot Genocide has pointed us in the direction of Pax Cybertron's Facebook page, which has posted some in-hand images of the upcoming Transformers Generations Voyager Sky-Byte. Check out the mirrored images below. Sky-Byte should be releasing soon along with his wavemate Roadbuster.
I'm guessing the hollow parts may be 'necessary' in order to slim down the skinny tail portion of the alt mode.
I think — if anything — these photos are highlighting that the paint apps are pretty poorly applied... and the tabs don't quite fit together. (?) I'm a bit bummed about it, but seems par for the course these days.
Still, I DO like the figure. For anyone with a Beast Wars or RID collection, seems like a must.
I agree... but I DO really like the curve to the shark mode. It models after how he looked in the show so often when he was talking... or reading a haiku.
Aside from there apparently being no place to store the missile in shark mode, I like it! It's a good update, capturing the essence of the character without being just an uninspired remake of the original. There's no mistaking it for someone other than Sky-Byte, but at the same time, it's a fresh take on him.
Plus, it's always nice to see signs that someone remembers and cares about all the quirky little detours in the history of Transformers.
...And since nobody else has done it yet, I feel we need a haiku!
He returns to us. Long lost, but we remember. Welcome home, Sky-Byte.
Now if only they'd get the rights back from Disney and release RiD on DVD.
Yeah, I can't believe it's never seen a stateside DVD release. I remember scouring eBay for a seller from Holland selling the set... then going about some trouble to be able to watch the Region 2 discs.
While it's not the BEST series... it still was a beautiful return to traditional animation... and vehicles. The toy line had some shockingly good toys (The Car Brothers, Fort Max, Build King, a ten changer)... and it still trumps Energon and Cybertron in most every way.
I hope Shout Factory gets access to it and releases it. I'd buy it again just for the ease of being able to play it in a standard DVD player.
Oh, but I digress We should talk about the shark And write more haikus

You've seen the in-hand images of Generations Sky-Byte, but are you ready to see the video review? Once again, courtesy of Pax Cybertron, we have our first in-depth video review of the upcoming Generations Voyager! The video review has been mirrored below.
Not bad. To me, the original is one of the best molds from the entire Beast Wars line, but this one is cool too. I hope they repaint it into a Maximal or Predacon, I don´t care what character they use.
I could less shell former, basic former it don't matter to me what does matter how toy looks in bot and alternate mode I like both modes MISTRANSFORMED or not I will get it I always fast forward past articulation care less how Much or less movement toy has I know a lot of other people care about that but I don't thanks for sharing its weird sharkbite video review showed up first and not hardhead
After watching the video I changed my preorder on BBTS to just Roadbuster. Something tells me this figure will sit for a bit and if it gets repainted into Cybershark I'll jump on that one instead.

I think you might be misjudging the situation. Sky-Byte as a character seems to be remembered pretty fondly, and unless they changed the case assortment, there's only one of him to every two Roadbusters (with a Springer filling the last slot), so he may go faster than you think.

You're right but I really have no connection to it and the next two months are going to be BIG in terms of stuff coming.
