I'm really over going on hunts and coming up empty handed. It definitely takes the fun out of collecting when there is nothing to collect :BANG_HEAD:

I'm glad as hell I ordered the Vehicon when I did as it looks like we will never see it in a retail store, which is bullshit. Anymore I am ordering what I feel would be hopeless trying to find, sure it may cost a few more bucks but at least I have it, and I feel my time is worth something, so I'm not wasting it chasing a figure you will most likely never see..

I did receive notice my three FOC figures shipped, should have them Monday. I assume Shockwave will be another htf figure.

Last rant I have is the growing price on the shrinking toys. We're now paying $15 for a large 'scout' size figure. Wtf is Hasbro thinking?! I've been collecting TF's since the 90's and this hobby has really changed. You used to get the value for your money. I have to laugh, back when I ordered my Brave Max I thought $100 for it was outrageous, but went ahead and got it as I always wanted FM. Now we're paying $100 for deluxe size third party figures and not batting an eye. It makes collecting a lot less fun when you are so limited by price  I don't know about the rest of you guys but I have to badly want a figure to spend that kind of money, and can't afford to get many of them. Hercules was last time I will spend that sort of money on a figure again.

This hobby used to be a lot of fun...what happened?

I feel ya man. Its really gone downhill, especially if you wana collect whats current.

Hell I even just miss the back and forth discussions here, but without anything to have a "sightings post" about it kinda just renders this thread pointless.

I found it best to just let my wants for anything current take the back burner, otherwise I get too worked up over something that is supposed to make me happy.

I have shifted almost all my attention to collecting G1. They are always available, and although they may be more expensive I believe they are worth it. I really cant see PRID dead end or bumblebee fetching top $ 20 years down the line.

I find more joy and involvement in finding great deals on vintage figures then being able to clean them up and restore them.

I really do love where im at with this hobby currently...I just wish the hobby currently was more enjoyable. If that makes sense.

I just have no interest in hunting things down, I walk into a store knowing that they probably won't have what I'm looking for. I did see one of the Bumblebee repaints at FW Toys R Us so there might've been a Dead End or something floating around there at some point. It's pretty frustrating when you want to give your money to a company for their product, but there's no easy way to get it locally.

I've been focusing my collecting on other things though and if anyone sees any of the new Ninja Turtles figures let me know. I'd love one of each.

Off topic I know, but did you all see FrenzyRumble is teaching two customising classes at Slag-a-Con this year? I'm seriously thinking of taking the beginners class, this guy is one of, if not the best, custom transformer maker around.

Who all is making plans to go? We should see if we can't make plans to meet up for dinner, or drinks to shoot the ****. Since it's not til October we all have time to make plans.

saw optimus maximus and the weaponizers at a kmart in....hammond i think it was? stopped at a few other stores and have come to this conclusion: Maybe there is a large group of kids that truly enjoy Bumblebee, but they must be the kids whose parents never take them to the store.

Toys R Us put out the FOC figures earlier today. They had at least two Shockwaves when I was there this morning. Hope that helps anyone looking for them.
