Thanks Ryan for sharing this and Optimus Prime, pretty much filled you in on the exclusive Overlord. But there's to be a few more Transformer exclusives to be there as well. Mega Toy Fan plans to have an exclusive piece for sell during the Con and for those that pre-register and buy their tickets ahead of time, they'll be entered in for another exclusive Transformer-related item that will only be at Retro Con.

Retro Con Pre-registrant Door Prize!

We are having a special raffle drawing that will be held ONLY for pre-registrants of the show! The prize will be a Transformers yarn doll created by show organizer Tony. The character will be Autobot engineer Wheeljack. He stands 16″ tall and is created from craft yarn woven into a plastic canvas skeleton (with everything hot-glued together). These are very time-consuming to make, so Tony does not create them often. Now is your chance to own a truly unique Transformers item!!

The drawing will be held early in the day, probably around 10 or 11am, and any losing tickets from pre-registrant drawing will go back into the raffle pool for the regular door prizes! Go to the “Buy Tickets” tab at the top of the retrocons.com page to pre-register. Good luck!!

How do the door prizes work? Are they just awarded randomly? Are there any qualifications, like do you have to pre-purchase tickets to be eligible? Or do you have to buy raffle tickets or something like that? Do you have to be there by a certain time?

If you buy your ticket ahead of time, you'll receive three tickets one that will be for a pre-register door prize and then two extra tickets for door prizes through out the day. Then if your ticket's not pulled for the pre-register door prize, your third ticket will be thrown into the lot with the other two, which will up your chances for the big goodies, like the Bruticus Set! It's basically all random though and no one will have more then three tickets.


If you buy at the door, you'll only receive two tickets and all dealers will receive a door prize ticket as well.

Tony and I sold five more tables for Retro Con yesterday! With over 70 percent of our tables sold and if all goes well... After promoting at Baltimore Comic Con and then New York Comic Con..maybe we should look into getting a few more tables? Fill that convention center up!

Retro Con Update!

As of right now we have 55 tables sold, with only twenty left.. Not bad with two months still to go before the Convention!

This weekend I promoted the show big time, handing out over 150 plus cards during Baltimore Comic Con and I plan to do more during New York comic Con!
