Iranian Desert - Outskirts of Azadegan Oil Field

A brilliant shaft of light streaked down from the skies over Iran, striking the desert sand which partially turned to glass as a result of the intense heat generated by the bounce beam. Skywarp and his team of seekers materialized at the edge of the immense 300 hundred square mile oil field as the mid-day sun shown down on their robotic forms. The landscape ahead seemed harsh and almost barren except for the numerous tiny dots off in the distance that represented a variety of pump jacks and drilling rigs that were responsible for bringing the black fuel to the surface. Their initial priority was to obtain as much fuel as possible, but first they needed a means to transport the resulting energon cubes.

Skywarp stepped away in order to face his squad, allowing his last two digits to gently pass out of Nightraven's hand. He stood straight and confident in front of the group of seekers even though deep down he was anything but sure of himself. “All right, listen up everyone! The plan is simple. Nightraven will use her stealth abilities to scout ahead and look for an oil pipeline we can tap into. Once she has found one, Hellion, Thrust, Slipstream and Waspinator will move in and help her fill as many energon cubes as possible. Meanwhile, Ramjet and I will search for a suitable container to store and transport the cubes. The container will then be flown to a safe location where it can be easily bounced back to the Ultrax undetected.”

Skywarp looked around at each of his team members before continuing. “Now, after the fuel has been successfully transported out of here we will move to the Primary Operations Facility located at the very center of the oil field. It resembles a small city where the oil workers live and work. Our attack will begin there in full force so that the Autobots will be drawn to our location. Then the real fun begins.”

The teleporter glanced around at his squad once more to make sure they were all paying close attention. “If there are no questions, let’s move out. Ramjet, you’re with me! The rest of you can explore the surrounding area while you wait for Nightraven’s signal. However, make sure you all fly below radar so that you are not detected by the meat sacks yet. Is that clearly understood?“

With his orders given, Skywarp gave Nightraven a go-ahead nod before transforming into his F-22 Raptor mode and launching himself into the bright skies above. He made sure to fly low to avoid the fleshlings' primitive detection systems all the while keeping his scanners trained on the ground for an appropriate-sized container.

Ramjet materialized beside Waspinator in a shaft of incredible white light, and he quickly shook off the effects to listen to Skywarp give orders, and it looked like Ramjet had the boring job of simply looking for a container. Is that all they thought Ramjet was good for? Looking for some oversized Ziplock?!

Meh.

"Sure thing, 'Warp." Ramjet said after grinding his teeth.

And shortly after, he transformed and soared into the air with his Modified F-15 Eagle mode. He followed Skywarp and began to scan for a container of a size suitable for transporting Energon Cubes.

>>Say, uh, 'Warp? What'djya know about Slipstream? I mean-You know-Well-Erm-Uh-Never mind! I think I found a container, but we'll need to reveal our presence to some humans to do so, its on a train.<< Ramjet stammered in the comm link with Skywarp.

There looked to be a train that was headed to pick up some cargo somewhere, and it had numerous Box Cars, made specifically for transporting goods, and what better goods than Energon?

Waspinator listened intently to Skywarp adressing him and the others to stay there while Nightraven went out to scout. Waspinator saluted, but he noticed he was saluting with the wrong hand, so he quickly swapped hands to make it right.

"Yezz Teleport-Bot!" Waspinator buzzed with a flutter of his wings.

Several seconds passed and Waspinator just watched the Seekers fly away. He noticed a small buzzing sound coming from behind him, and he turned to see some sort of hive! It was small enough to crush with his little finger, but he made his way to the small hive and looked at it with his mandibles making a crooked smile. Maybe he could communicate with them! They looked a lot like him, so who was he to turn down the fact that there was intelligence?

"Hello friendzz! Wazzpinator think funny-bugzz look like Wazzpinator! Funny-bugzz friendzz!" Waspinator snatched a wasp out from it's nest and tried his best to shake the tiny hand of the wasp.

The wasp was angered and sent a chemical to it's kin to attack Waspinator. They swarmed out of the hive and began their assault on Waspinator, they covered a minority of his body and did their best to sting him. Waspinator flung himself on the ground screaming things like "Get them oooooooff of Wazzpinator!!" and simply yelling. Waspinator swatted them away and said, "Funny-Bugzz not friendzz anymore!"

"Doezz everyone hate Wazzpinator...?" Waspinator said with one final swat at the retreating wasps.

He sighed as he stood up and dusted himself off and made his way over to the rest of the group and just stood there, glumly.

Still ticked off by Hellion's threats towards him given his delusions of innocence, Thrust materialized into the desert along with the rest of Skywarp's team. He did manage to stop to listen to Skywarp assigning tasks for them, even though he could not stop wondering why they were getting their orders out in the open here when they could have been prepared for the task back in the Ultrax. All of sudden Skywarp had already proceeded to the finishing words of his briefing and before the red and black seeker had a chance to ask a question to clarify couple of concerns of his, the teleporter had already taken off into the skies.

Well suit yourself. Thrust thought as he transformed into his F-35 Lightning alt. mode and dashed into the skies followed by the massive roar of his engines. Subtlety after all was not one of his virtues. Nor was silence.

>>"Can you believe him Ramjet?!"<< Thrust radioed his fellow conehead while beginning to fly in circles above the rest of the team he was assigned to. >>"If that gloried wingmech of Screamer's wants to fly low, let him I say! Low-tech radar of those fleshbags will never spot radar signature of a Transformer that is not willing to be discovered! And I ain't spotting any Autobots around here! He is given a chance to lead and the moment he thinks we are some slaggin' rookies?!"<<

Nightraven appeared on the outskirts of the oil field along Skywarp and the other Seekers. Her hand was still wrapped loosely around the teleporter’s digits even as the light from the bounce beam finally dissipated. Once the slight vertigo had passed Skywarp’s two fingers slipped from her hand as he stepped away and faced the gathered Seekers and Insecticon. She watched as he straightened his posture and exuded a great amount of confidence, although she certainly knew that most of it was just for show.

Nightraven took up a position next to Hellion in the front of the group and listened to the plan that Skywarp had laid out. After he had finished the Seeker femme moved away from the team and took off into the air where she assumed her F-15 Eagle mode and headed off to scout out the best place to gain access and begin pumping.

Once in the air Nightraven engaged her stealth capabilities which worked through the paint covering her entire fuselage. Now that she was certain that she would be undetected, Nightraven kicked in her afterburners and made an ascent in order to get a better look and better scans of the entire oil field.

After a few flybys and several scans Nightraven had located a promising location where there were few humans and a large pipeline. The femme slowed her speed and transformed back to her robot form where she landed lightly on her feet. She made her way to the pipeline in the Sarvak layer of the field. Nightraven took a tentative look around the area, but saw no organics. She was too far out into the field away from the plant to even have been noticed.

Once she was satisfied with her choice she opened a line to the rest of the team, excluding Skywarp, whom she would speak to when she was finished.

>>”Helly, Slipstream, Thrust, Waspinator. I’ve located a pipeline that can be easily syphoned without being detected. I’m sending you the coordinates now.”<<

After she sent the location to the waiting members of the team she opened a link to Skywarp.

>>”Skywarp, I’ve located a pipeline that we can syphon off of. I’m sending the coordinates.”<<

She grew silent for a moment before went on.

>>”You know, you’re doing quite well. Keep it up and I might have to reward you.”<<

As she looked skyward the corners of her mouth curled into a smile.

Skywarp banked low as he flew over the train beneath him. It appeared to be a supply train of some kind with its destination being the Primary Operations Facility at the center of the oil field, which was about a hundred miles from their current position. The teleporter’s scans indicated that the numerous box cars contained all kinds of provisions ranging from food to first aide to a variety of replacement parts the humans would need to keep the equipment running smoothly. His sensors also showed that only two flesh sacks occupied the entire train and they were the engineers that piloted the long snake-like vehicle.

>>“I see it, Ramjet.”<< Skywarp commed back to the white conehead. >>”Remain in jet mode. I will take care of the two fleshlings before they are able to radio for help.”<<

The prankster then quickly circled around to the front of the train and took aim directly at the tracks. An astrosecond later, ‘Warp unleashed a volley of laser fire towards the ground, destroying a large section of the tracks and leaving a deep crater in their place. Before the two humans could react in time to stop the train, the engine car dove into the crater, causing it to derail and fall onto its side. One by one, the rest of the box cars followed as the entirety of the train broke apart, each car toppling over and crashing into the desert floor before either coming to a stop in the sand or slamming into other derailed cars. Sand and debris were sent into the air, making it difficult to see for a short while.

When the dust finally settled, Skywarp transformed to robot mode and landed on top of one of the empty box cars, its contents now strewn across the desert floor. He then scanned the entire area for life signs and found none. The fleshlings had been terminated in the derailment. Good, the teleporter thought as he received Nightraven’s transmission and quickly opened a comm line back to her:

>>”Coordinates received. Excellent work, Nighty! Ramjet and I have also accomplished our goal. We have found a suitable container large enough to transport the energon cubes in. We will rendezvous with you shortly.”<<

Once his comm line was switched off, Skywarp grinned from one audio receptor to the other. A reward? Really? Nightraven’s words rang within his cranial unit. The thought was too enticing that it almost distracted him from what needed to be done. Only the sound of Ramjet’s engines overhead awoke ‘Warp from his short daydream. Looking skyward, the teleporter radioed up to the trouble-making conehead:

>>”Ramjet, get down here. Once you land on top of the box car, attach your grappling hook to one end. I will do the same on the opposite end. Together, we will then return to our jet forms and fly the container to Nightraven’s location. Understood?”<<

With his instructions given, Skywarp then attached his own grappling hook to his end of the box car. Once it was secure, the prankster transformed back into his F-22 Raptor mode and waited for Ramjet to do as he was told.

Ramjet flew over while Skywarp flew down and had all of the fun of killing the humans while causing destruction on the train that he found, and then he had the nerve to order him to do something for him after he had all the fun. It was one thing to be taking orders from Starscream, it was a whole other ball game to be taking orders from two, count them two of his Seeker brothers. It felt as if he was at the bottom of the food chain, and he was. At this rate, he would have been better off on the Ultrax with Thundercracker. Another job he didn't want.

Oh well.

>>Okay,<< Ramjet responded to Skywarp over the Comm Link, but there was more, >>Oh, and I am kind of serious about Slipstream, what do you know about her?<<

It was really awkward. Really. But while making good use of the voice transmitter he flew down to the box car and quickly attached his grappling hook. When fastened, he took off and began to fly off with the crate, hoping very dearly that Skywarp too, was flying with him.

It was then when he received a message from Thrust, the red conehead was angry about taking orders from Skywarp as well as Ramjet. Needless to say he felt the same way, he wasn't being treated with respect, and respect is what Ramjet wanted.

>>Yeah! Just now I spotted a Human Train that might be able to hold the Energon and what did Skywarp do? HE STOLE THE GLORY! He went down and destroyed the train because 'he is the leader'! Well I got some news for him, if he doesn't start treating us with some respect, I'll throttle him!<< Ramjet went on an angry tirade through the Comm Link with Thrust.

However, he did think that Skywarp was taking things rather well in the respect of leadership. Maybe he could be a general in the coming civil war which will end with Starscream dead or a slave and Ramjet leader... He could imagine it now... Respect from everyone, no one would want to cross him... Huge banners with his name and picture in glory above all so everyone can gaze at his magnificence... And the femmes! Not one could resist! Oh how he longs for the moment when he claims leadership above the dead corpse of the previous leader...

Suddenly he broke off from his daydream feeling himself drift off from his course and quickly corrected it.

Waspinator stood there glumly after his run-in with a wasp nest, was it true? Was there no one who cared weather or not he lives? Waspinator fluttered his wings as he received the signal from Nightraven, signaling that it was time to finally get what he joined Skywarp's team for! To cause destruction! Yes!

>>Zzignal rezzeived Invizziplane-bot! Wazzpinator ready for zzome action!<< Waspinator felt the anticipation build, and that lifted his mood. But in the back of his mind he suddenly felt the horrible feeling that this will have something to do with the Autobots.

It didn't occur to him that he had forgotten about that they were there as a distraction, not a energy retrieval mission! Waspinator transformed into his giant wasp and began to fly about speedily, and literally making a Bee-Line towards the coordinates that Nightraven sent. He found that it didn't have any sort of civilization around it, just a metal rod full of precious fuel in the desert. Waspinator was hoping that he would be able to shoot something or bite it's head off.

Waspinator sighed and landed on the top of the pip and began to tear through to see where the fuel is. It was as expected, it was coming from the Oil Field and to a refinery as the most common places for it to go on this planet.

>>Zzay... Who hazz the Empty Energon Cubezz?<< Waspinator asked the team through a Comm Link with the entirety of them.

>>Good question.<< Said the voice of Ramjet, but he did not say any more than that.

While Nightraven waited for the others to arrive she took a good look around the immediate area. There was no reason to assume the flesh creatures wouldn’t stumble upon them while they were filling up the cubes. After wandering for more than a breem, Nightraven stopped and gazed out at the Primary Operations Facility and let out a low sigh. Having to kill a bunch of weak meat-sacks to gain the attention of the Autobots seemed like a waste of energy. Why not just steal the fuel and focus on reestablishing their place on this planet.

A few minutes passed before she turned back the way she had come and made her way back to the pipeline. Upon her arrival she received the acknowledgement from Skywarp. Nightraven smiled when his voice came over her comm. After a moment she shook her head and let out a groan. What is wrong with me? Just a few cycles ago I was terrified he’d push me down a flight of stairs, and now I’m excited just hearing his voice. I must be glitched.

She was shaken from her thoughts when Waspinator’s annoying voice filled her comm. Nightraven let out a heavy sigh and turned to the pipeline, but suddenly jumped back when she noticed Waspinator propped up on the pipe. The insecticon then tore a hole in the pipe. Nightraven jogged over to his location, a scowl etched on her face.

Waspinator! No!”

The Seeker femme rushed to the breach in the line; fuel was now spilling on to the sand covered earth. She let out an annoyed growl as she removed a portable cube generator from storage. She quickly powered up the device and initiated the process. After a moment the device began to create a series of empty Energon cubes.

“Start filling them, now! We’ve already lost several hundred gallons due to your idiotic impatience!”

>>”Skywarp. We’re going to need that container ASAP!”<<

Hellion appeared along with the other seekers from the orbital bounce. She quickly recovered from her momentary disorientation as she looked around at the surrounding terrain, a scowl on her face. They were quite literally in the middle of nowhere, with little but sand, rocks and dirt to see. It was better then the water that seemingly covered every other part of this miserable world, but she still wasn’t happy. The mission had been to distract and fight some Autobots and now they were in the middle of slagging nowhere.

The seeker only barely paid attention to what Skywarp was saying. He had seemed like a decent seeker before, with his pranks and all, but now he was become far too talky for her liking. She assumed that her sister was to thank for that. She stood around waiting with the rest of her group, contemplating shooting the annoying little Con with the speech impediment, when the call came in from Nightraven. Transforming to her F-15 mode Hellion flew off to the provided coordinates.

*

Slipstream always hated the disorientation of orbital bounces. They always seemed clumsy and haphazard compared to her controlled and precise transwarp jumps. Still, she welcomed any opportunity to save her personal supply of fuel.

The seeker glanced around at the rest of her team and frowned. It seemed that all of the thugs and morons had arrived safely as well. She would have to remember to speak slowly and use small words with this lot. How she got grouped together with the common canon fodder she would never know. Obviously Starscream did not appreciate her full capabilities. She was more about intelligence and speed, while this mission called for brute strength. Ah well, she would just let the peons do the hard work for her as always.

The sharp eyed femme did notice the unusual amount of touching between Skywarp and Nightraven. She contained a smile at the sight of it. That would explain why her efforts had been rebuffed earlier. That little bit of information could prove highly useful to her later on, on way or the other.

When the call came in she rose into the air, transforming to her sleek SU-47 fighter mode. She darted off to the provided coordinates along with the other seekers.

Iranian Desert – Sarvak Layer of the Oil Field

Slipstream transformed and touched down lightly next to Nightraven. She glanced over at Waspinator and the oil spilling everywhere with a look of disgust. Were they all too stupid to even carry out this simple mission? She turned to Nightraven and scooped up one of the empty cubes. She quickly began collecting the leaking oil inside of it.

*

Hellion transformed and landed on the ground with a loud crash, kicking up a cloud of sand and debris. She growled as she saw Waspinator randomly tearing into the pipeline. She shoved the other Con out of the way and grabbed the pipe herself. She bent the torn up section, turning the gaping hole into something a bit smaller with a much more controlled stream of the fluid coming out of it. It wasn’t quite smashing something but it was close enough, for now.

Thrust chuckled some to himself as he listened to Ramjet's ranting. He just loved to rile up his psychotic wing mate. The more Ramjet let his emotions to control himself, the more likely it was for the heavily armored conehead to catch the attention of possible enemies. Which of course made life far less dangerous for Thrust.

>>"Typical!"<< Thrust radioed Ramjet back. >>"Skywarp has been basking in the glory of his more accomplished wing mates for so long that he has become almost as arrogant as Starscream! And that did you hear the threats Hellion threw at me for no reason?! That slag crazy femmebot needs to have her cranium cracked open and those loose wires of hers soldered back together don't you think?! Aww, slag... looks like works calls."<<

Loud mouth and his habit of delusional bragging aside Thrust was a professional. As he transformed back to his robot mode, Thrust landed next to Slipstream who was filling empty cubes from the pipeline Hellion was holding. Being able to stay quiet for now especially in Hellion's presence, he began handing over empty cubes to Slipstream while passing the full ones to Dirge who began building a stockpile of full energon cubes few dozen feet away from their position.

Once Ramjet had attached his grappling hook to the opposite end of the box car, Skywarp took off into the air, attempting to remain at the same altitude as the white conehead in order to balance the large container and make transporting it a bit easier. As they flew along towards Nightraven’s coordinates, ‘Warp considered the question about Slipstream.

>>I don’t know that much about her, Rammy, other than her teleportation abilities are far greater than my own. As for whom she might like in a mate, I couldn’t tell you. Why don’t you just ask her, yourself? A strong, brave seeker such as you should have no problem talking to a femme.”<<

Of course, Skywarp knew that Ramjet was really just a hard-headed oaf who had aspirations for power which he would never achieve if his poorly thought out actions against Starscream back on the Ultrax were any indication of his leadership skills. And now, apparently, he had aspirations for something more with Slipstream. Good luck with that, ‘Warp thought as he then received a new, distressed transmission from Nightraven.

>>”We’re on our way, Nighty! Closing in on your position in less than a breem.”<<

“Let’s hurry, Ramjet,” Skywarp stated plainly as the two seekers flew low over the desert. “Sounds like our empty box car is needed sooner rather than later.”

Iranian Desert – Sarvak Layer of the Oil Field

Once they had arrived at the pipeline, Skywarp could immediately see why Nightraven sounded so desperate for him to arrive with the storage container. Apparently, Waspinator had taken it upon himself to tear open the pipeline prematurely, allowing untold gallons of wasted oil to spill out onto the desert sands. Idiot! The teleporter thought as he descended towards the ground with the box car he and Ramjet had been towing. Once the container had touched down with a thud, ‘Warp quickly disconnected his grappling hook and landed near the pipeline.

Transforming back to robot mode, Skywarp moved towards the gaping breach. Thankfully, Hellion had thought to bend the metal around the hole in such a way as to limit the amount of fuel lost while Nightraven had begun generating a series of empty energon cubes that the rest of the seekers were quickly filling. The prankster made his way over to Nightraven and gave her and the others a nod of approval. “I got here as fast as I could. The box car over there should suffice and hold a considerable amount of cubes. I see the bug couldn’t wait to get a taste, huh?”

Skywarp shook his head in dissatisfaction as he looked up to the only Insecticon in his group. “Waspinator! Get down off the pipeline and make yourself useful!” It had become obvious to the teleporter that bringing the bug along on the mission was not the best of ideas. He could only really count on the others in his group to do what was needed as Waspinator seemed to be operating on fewer processor units than normal. “And don’t tear anymore holes in anything!”

Turning back to look at Nightraven, Skywarp let out a low sigh. “I’ll start loading the cubes into the container. Let me know if you need anything more here.”

The black and purple seeker managed a brief smile before he moved towards the energon cube stockpile that Dirge had created a short distance away from the pipeline. ‘Warp picked up several cubes in his arms and walked towards the container that had come to a rest in the sand nearby, its large door having swung open wide during the descent and landing. “Ramjet, help me load these filled cubes into the train car,” Skywarp called up to the white conehead as the teleporter placed the first batch into the empty steel container.

Ramjet kept his grapple line taught as he helped Skywarp lift the train car off of the ground and into the air. It was a tough battle, the train had more secure links than usual.

Must be one of those newer kinds of train cars. Ramjet thought as Skywarp kicked into action and finally lifted the train car off of it and into the air.

Skywarp had taken a second with answering his question about Slipstream, and finally he answered with a cop-out, you could learn more by reading her file! What a great help he was! However the answer rather embarrassed Ramjet, bravery in battle was a whole other ball game than a conversation starter with a femme! How the blazes would he start it? 'Uh hi! My name is Ramjet how are you today?' Wow. That was the best he could come up with? Ramjet made a sound that mimicked that of a human singer by the name of Elvis in a simple response.

>>Uh, yeah... Sure...<< He said to Thrust, Ramjet's previous explosion was all that was in there. He has no ill feelings to Skywarp personally, its just he won't treat any of them with respect.

Now how to start that conversation again? Right. Maybe when the Autobots were attacking he could save her and start the conversation with Slipstream on that... Just the mention of her name brought her beauty to mind. Flamboyant beauty that is probably unrivaled... Think of it!

Ramjet flew over and released the container gently and quickly transformed into robot form and snatched an empty Energon Cube and placed it under the pipeline that Waspinator ripped open. It began to slowly fill up, and Ramjet began to remember the wonderful taste of Actual Energon. Not the terrible tasting substitute.

He picked up several more and placed them inside of it. Suddenly it dawned on him, they weren't making much of a distraction. And then an idea made it's way slowly into his system...

"Hey... When we're done with this, who has a flamethrower? 'Cause I have a great idea that will definitely cause the Autobots to come!" Ramjet said as he placed another Cube inside of the Container.

Iranian Desert - Outskirts of Azadegan Oil Field

Waspinator was startled when Nightraven called out a profound 'no' to what he was doing. Waspinator felt his whole demeanor shrink.

"Wazzpinator zzorry..." Waspinator mumbled as he picked up an Energon Cube and began filling it with the precious liquid.

Waspinator suddenly was shoved onto the ground by the hulking form of Hellion who growled at him.

Waspinator got up, dust covered, glum, and everyone mad at him. It was depressing to say the least; maybe he could do something right one of these vorns... Waspinator sighed as he grabbed another empty Energon Cube and filled that one. He was depressed until now Skywarp was mad. Now he was getting angry, sure it was his fault, but you don't have to beat him over the head with it! Waspinator clenched his fist and felt anger build, he wanted to unleash his anger so badly...

Why don't Wazzpinator tear a hole in Teleport-bot inzztead! Waspinator thought with a frown on his mandibles, he wanted to stand up to Skywarp and the others and show them what a real Decepticon is, and to show them to treat him with respect.

Waspinator didn't however, he didn't because he knew he was above that. There would be a time. There would be a time when all knew his rage... Soon...

Nightraven let out a sigh of relief when Hellion, Slipstream, and yes Thrust arrived. She watched with contentment as Hellion shoved Waspinator out of the way so she could narrow the hole made by the overzealous Insecticon.

“Thanks, Helly.”

The Seeker femme knew Hellion was quite perturbed about her recent behavior, which meant she needed to save face as soon as possible, but not with so many others around. This would need to be done in private. Nightraven was about to open a private link with her sister when Skywarp and Ramjet arrived with an empty rail car. She flashed the teleporter a quick smile as he approached.

“Nice job.”

Nightraven looked back at the box car and nodded that it would be more than sufficient to hold all the cubes. At his next question concerning Waspinator's wanting a taste of the oil she let out an annoyed huff.

“Oh please. Primus only knows why he had to tag along. It probably would have been less messy if Ramjet shoved his head into the line.”

The corners of her mouth curled into a delicate smile before she responded to Skywarp about needing anything while he was loading the energon cubes into the rail car.

“Oh don’t worry, I’ll let you know.”

Nightraven watched as he made his way to Ramjet and the two began filling the boxcar with the filled energon cubes. However, her focus on both Seekers faded as she trained her optics solely on the form of Skywarp. She quickly shook her head and trained her thoughts on the portable energon cube generator. For Primus’ sake, why is this happening now? Focus, Nighty, on the mission, not on him. She spared him one last glance before her attention moved to Ramjet.

The Conehead had offhandedly mentioned something about a flamethrower. Nightraven placed a finger to her chin as she thought about what Ramjet had asked. That could work, not only for us, but for the fleshies as well. If we light up this pipeline they’ll get a signal at the central hub giving them time to evacuate. By the time we get there to raze the place they’d be gone.

“That’s not a bad idea, Ramjet.”

Nightraven looked at Skywarp, her expression serious.

“How about this? Hellion, Slipstream and Dirge can find a secure location to hide the rail car. Once they find one Skywarp, you, Ramjet and Thrust transport the rail car to the location while I light up the pipeline. After it’s ignited we can head to the central hub to raze the site.”

Skywarp couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as he continued to load more energon cubes into the rail car that he and the cone-headed seeker had previously procured. It wasn’t that he found his current chore to be amusing. No, his thoughts were simply lingering on Nightraven’s prior comment that it would’ve been less messy if Ramjet had just shoved his pointy head into the pipeline instead of Waspinator tearing it open. She was probably right, of course, but that was only because Ramjet’s head would’ve surely gotten struck in there and thus acted as a cork. That mental image made ‘Warp laugh a little harder, but he quickly choked it back in the hopes that the white seeker wouldn’t notice and ask him what was so funny.

The other seekers were doing an excellent job at filling the empty energon cubes that Nightraven was creating. The box car was quickly filling up and it now required Skywarp to climb up on top of already stored cubes in order to place the rest inside. Fortunately, his foot thrusters aided him somewhat, but he was careful not to get them too close to the cubes, themselves, as he didn’t want to accidentally ignite them. The outer layer of the cubes provided a good deal of protection for the energon within, but if they were heated to an extreme level then there was the risk of combustion. So far, Nighty thought ‘Warp was doing a good job and he didn’t want to change her view in any way.

As Skywarp jumped back down to the ground, he heard Ramjet mutter something about a flamethrower. It was clear from his words that he wanted to ignite the oil pipeline. At first, the teleporter wasn’t too keen on the idea, as creating a distraction before they even got the cubes to a safe location would be too soon not to mention unnecessary. ‘Warp felt that razing the central hub would be enough, and he was about to voice his objection when Nightraven chimed in and surprisingly agreed with the conehead. A look of astonishment crept onto the prankster’s face plate, but quickly subsided as he listened to Nighty’s suggestion. She went a bit further then the conehead’s initial thinking, stating that they would wait until the cubes were secured before lighting up the oil line.

Skywarp sighed a bit and nodded in agreement. “You’re right, Nighty. Setting this pipeline ablaze would be beneficial to us just as long as the energon we’ve gathered is hidden first. It would also create a much better distraction than just simply destroying the primary hub. There’s no way the local meat bag regime could keep something like this quiet from the outside world. The Autobots would definitely detect our presence here. Good thinking, both of you,” the teleporter commended Nightraven and Ramjet, but only smiled at the femme before grabbing another batch of energon cubes and looking back at the rail car. Space was quickly diminishing as the container was starting to become crammed. ‘Warp then returned his attention at his team and addressed them.

“Looks like we can fit about another three dozen or so cubes into the train car before we’re at capacity. Hellion, Slipstream and Dirge, go now to find a suitable hiding spot and then signal us with the coordinates. Thrust and Nighty, keep filling up those remaining cubes. Ramjet, you’re still on loading duty with me. Let's get this thing packed up and then sealed tight once we're done.” Skywarp was about to return to the box car with his batch of cubes when he remembered the troublesome green Insecticon. “And, Waspinator,” he said, hesitating for a moment. “Just keep a lookout for anything strange and stay out of trouble while doing so. Okay?”

Ramjet gave a smirk at his idea being recognized by Nightraven and Skywarp, but the smirk faded when he saw the shock on the latter's faceplate. Why was Skywarp so ignorant!? Ramjet gritted his teeth when Skywarp ordered him around, again, and he gave no response, but walked over and began filling another Energon Cube.

Can we just kill something? Ramjet thought with a frown, taking the occasion to catch a glimpse of Slipstream, hopefully she didn't notice.

He walked over and placed his Energon Cube in the Train Car, and walked over and picked up another Empty Energon Cube and began to fill it.

Waspinator clenched his fists when Skywarp outright showed his loathe to be around the smaller Insecticon. Again, he resisted the urge to rip the Seeker's Cranial Unit off, and did as told. He transformed into a giant wasp and flew above the unit with massive flaps of his wings.

He spared the moment to snarl at Skywarp and flew off at maximum speeds, but when he reached the perimeter of where the Decepticons were, but just out of sight, he transformed into a small wasp that began patrolling the area.

His anger built slowly, but steadily; he felt himself want to unleash his rage that has been kept shut for ages, but he did not.

He just needed to be appreciated for who he was, why is it that no one would accept him? Not just in a group, but accept him as a Mech.

They'll learn to accept him, soon enough, they will all reap what they have sown...

As Dirge rocketed off to the distance per Skywarp's order to seek out a suitable spot from them to store the train car, Thrust kept doing his job by hauling filled energon cubes from the broken pipeline to the pile Skywarp and co. had been building. However, he did not do it silently.

"You keep taking the fleshies for fools. They are weak for sure but don't underestimate them 'Warp. I bet they have noticed the pressure drop from their oil pipelines by now, if they are not already mobilizing to investigate." Thrust spoke up and lifted yet another filled energon cube to the pile.

"I wouldn't rule it past them for already having shut the pipeline to avoid pouring excessive amounts of their precious oil to the sand." He smirked while returning towards the pipeline. "Most of these organics seem to be as greedy as Swindle."

Iranian Desert – Central Hub at the Oil Field

To the relief of the crew located at the Azadegan Oil Field the day had progressed with no incidents with either the drilling equipment or the pipelines. There also had been no problems with the Iraqi militants that were spotted only a few days before. It seemed that when the Islamic Republic of Iran Army was called in they had either driven out the militants or arrested them. Whatever had occurred did not matter to the workers, at least not now.

The crew was about to change shifts when one of the technicians noticed one of the pipeline sensors was indicating a considerable loss in pressure. Fearing that perhaps the military had not ousted the Iraqi militants, the technician notified the senior pipeline engineer.

“Yousef! I believe we may have a problem!”

The technician stood from his chair and waved the engineer over to his station. Yousef quickly laid down the tablet he had been referencing and jogged over to Jalil’s station.

“What is it, Jalil?”

Not waiting for an answer the engineer looked at the computer screen slack jawed.

“How is this possible? Could those reported militants be back? And if so how could they possibly be draining so much oil from the pipeline? They could not possess anything large enough to do that much damage without someone noticing them transporting the device!”

Jalil only stood watching the screen as the pressure readout continued to decrease. After a moment of total silence Yousef finally spoke.

“Jalil, shut down the flow to that line and continued to monitor it. I will notify the military that Iraq has crossed our border once again.”

That said the senior engineer took off to his office to contact the General of the Iran Army.

Iranian Desert – Sarvak Layer of the Oil Field

The look of astonishment that crept on to Skywarp’s face did not go unnoticed by Nightraven. She cringed slightly at his reaction, but she recovered quickly once the teleporter relented and agreed that Ramjet’s suggestion was a good option, but only if it was implemented the way she had presented. At Skywarp’s compliment Nightraven simply nodded and went back to work generating the remaining Energon cubes that would be needed.

At the same time Skywarp had given out his orders and Dirge set off right away.

Once the remaining Energon cubes had been created, Nightraven stored the portable generator and began helping Thrust fill them up.

After Nightraven had filled only two cubes she noticed that the flow of oil had slowed considerably. After a moment of reflection on what Thrust had mentioned just minutes before, the femme tossed the empty cube in her hand down and called out to Skywarp.

Skywarp! The humans shut down the flow! We need to get that rail car loaded and hidden as soon as possible.”

She quickly made her way to his side and began handing Skywarp the rest of the cubes. As she worked she flashed the teleporter a playful smirk and carefully leaned in just a little bit closer to him when she spoke in a low tone.

“I hope you didn’t forget that if this mission goes off successfully you’ll be getting a reward.”

Nightraven then nudged her elbow against his flirtatiously before she turned to grab another Energon cube.

Hellion grunted as the oil flow from the pipeline went down to a trickle. She released the pipe and flicked her hands in the air, sending a splash of oil off of them in all directions. Messing with the pipe had been a bit entertaining, but not exactly fulfilling. The mission had promised some real combat and the closest she had gotten to that was shoving over one of her idiot teammates. It had been too long since she’d been in a real fight, not to mention winning a fight. It was gnawing at her.

The seeker looked over at Skywarp as he gave more orders. Hearing them something inside of her snapped. He was sending her on some scouting mission to find a hiding place for this energon, all of which had nothing to do with fighting anything, let alone Autobots. She wasn’t built to do these menial tasks, and she was sick of them. With a roar she tore into the pipeline even more, tearing and shredding it with her hands and sharpened wings. The trickle of oil still flowing through it was splashed all around. It helped to unleash some of her rage, but it just wasn’t going to be enough.

She leapt down from the pipe and stalked over to Skywarp, fists clenched. “I didn’t come on this mission to scout for hiding places,” she sneered. “I didn’t come to steal oil, get energon cubes or hide them! I came here to fight Autobots! Instead you have us running around like idiots trying to look good for Starscream!” She stopped right in front of him, her optics glowing brightly. “Now,” she jabbed a finger right onto his chest, “you either get me in a fight or I will start one right now!”

*

Slipstream wiped some of the excess oil off of her hands in disgust. What a primitive and disgusting planet this was. Even their fuels were disgusting and sticky. The universe would be better off if this planet were just cleansed by a mass orbital bombardment. Certainly no one else would miss it. She should have made her escape while she could during the confusion after Megatron’s death.

The saboteur was about to take off to follow Skywarp’s orders when Hellion went off. She paused to watch how the scene would unfold. Oddly enough she did agree with the other seeker in some aspects. This mission was a very poor use of her abilities. So far she had done nothing more then grunt work, things that Ramjet and Dirge were built for. She would have been better off doing some spying at the very least, if not something more vital then that. If this little outburst from the other seeker got things moving in a different direction then she was all for it. Either way it would be entertaining and educational to watch how Skywarp reacted to it.

As Skywarp placed another small pile of energon cubes into the train car, he heard Nightraven’s exclaimation that the humans had cut oil flow to the pipeline. It appeared that Thrust’s previous statement was correct. The humans were not to be underestimated and were smarter than they outwardly appeared. The telelporter jumped down out of the box car and made his way over to the drying up pipeline.

“You’re right. The oil has almost completely stopped. I’m sure the military will be along shortly. Let’s hurry and get the last few piles into the container and then move it to a secure location.” Skywarp then grabbed up another bunch of cubes in his arms just as Nightraven made her quiet comment about the reward that was awaiting him if the mission was successful. The prankster smiled slightly, a reaction that quickly faded once Hellion stormed up to him and started complaining about being given menial tasks that she considered to be beneathe her stature and abilities. She was clearly agitated by the lack of combat thus far, but what she didn’t realize was that gathering fuel was a necessity, if not a boring one.

Skywarp remained calm but firm as he stood his ground against the angry femme. “Well, I’m sorry you feel that way, Hellion. Believe me, I’d rather be fighting, too. Although, let me make one thing perfectly clear. I’m not trying to look good for anyone. I’m simply trying to get the job done and done right. I didn’t ask to be put in charge of this group. It just sort of fell into my lap. I’m doing the best that I can. We lost a lot of our fuel reserves when our base exploded, so we need to gather more energon to replenish those reserves. That’s the whole reason why we’re doing this before attacking the main hub. Otherwise, we all risk running out of power eventually and then none of us can fight at all.”

Skywarp took a deep breath before continuing. “If you don’t want to help scout a hiding place for the container, that’s fine. I’m not trying to force you to do anything. I’m sure Dirge can find a place all by himself. As for loading the remaining cubes, we’re almost done here so if you don’t want to help with that either you can always fly ahead to the central operations hub and start razing the place. I’m sure the Autobots will arrive shortly and then you’ll be able to unleash your fury on them instead of wasting your energy berating me for doing what needs to be done. Does that sound acceptable to you or do you wish to continue with this pointless infighting?”

Even though he wanted to get back to work right away, Skywarp was not about to turn his back on Hellion. He had no desire to get into a physical altercation with her, but he wasn’t completely stupid, either. She could easily jump him from behind without warning, so he wanted to be prepared to defend himself if it was necessary. ‘Warp hoped it would not come to that as he was not the type of mech to hit a femme for any reason, unless she was an Autobot. Then there was the fact that Nightraven was standing right there and would surely not give him any kind of reward if he got into a fight with her abrasive sister. The teleporter simply hoped that the berserker would calm down, knowing that action would soon be coming.

Ramjet placed yet another Energon Cube in the train when an outraged Hellion stormed past him and confronted Skywarp on actually doing something to get the Autobot's attention, not just doing a covert mission to retrieve Energon.

Ramjet felt a smirk come to his faceplate at the sight of a coming brawl.

Yes! Finally some action! Ramjet thought with joy, Hellion is not going to listen, she's gong to just rip his head off! And that would be a great way to step in and lead away...

Ramjet halted his work and took a position leaning on the fuel line, which had just ceased to give oil, and the only thing left in there was the fumes. The fumes are the most combustible, if Ramjet understood correctly, maybe they still could blow the pipe.

Waspinator walked aimlessly, hoping he could finally find something to ease the pain of his misery. Waspinator looked up at the sun shining on him, and he raised his hand to shade his optics. Why did this planet have to have a sun? Cybertron doesn't have a sun. Maybe the Decepticons could sap all of the energy from their sun and make this place habitable for the rest of their species.

It was all just dust. The occasional desert bush, snakes, and animal sometimes showed itself, and that was just an invite for a foot to crush them to death. And Waspinator took the invite with joy as he crushed the life out of the smaller life-forms.

At last he was above someone.

"Wazzpinator want to fight Autobotzz. Autobotzz much more tazzty." Waspinator looked around at the seemingly endless sand that surrounded this place as he spoke.

This place would be a perfect place for Scorponok, Waspinator decided, maybe Scorponok would give him a lift back to where the other Decpticons were.

But Scorponok wasn't there to devour him, and Waspinator would have to go back himself. Waspinator Transfomed into a Giant Wasp and flew off back to where the Decepticons were at high speeds.

Waspinator landed in front of Skywarp with a heavy thud, kicking up sand.

"Wazzpinator hazz nothing to report Teleport-bot!" Waspinator said, "Wazzpinator want to dezztroy baze now."

A snarl remained on Hellion’s face as Skywarp tried to talk her down. Just hearing him going on and on was irritating her. Since when had he been this talkative? Since when did Skywarp lead teams and reason with others? What happened to a Skywarp that had played pranks and liked to fight? Then there was the condescending tone she was sure she heard in his reply, like he was talking to a rookie or simpleton. She wasn’t the smartest Decepticon around, but she wasn’t about to let the likes of Skywarp talk down to her.

“Don’t you ever shut up?” She yelled back at him. “Since when do you talk this much? Since when are you so concerned about our energy supplies? I don’t know what’s happened, what I do know is I’m tired of all of this talking and getting treated like a moron by you! You’re just another grunt Skywarp, and I think its time you started acting like one again.” With that Hellion lashed out, throwing a punch from her right aimed at Skywarp’s face.

Hellion’s reaction was expected even to a mech of average intelligence like Skywarp. He never really thought that she would back down by him simply trying to talk some sense into her. That would’ve been too easy. No, instead she continued yelling and belittling him as a common grunt that shouldn’t be telling her what to do. Deep down those words hurt, but he didn’t let it show outwardly, at least not at first. For the past few cycles he’d been trying to prove to Nightraven that there was more to him than the prankster he’s always been known for, but thus far only she had begun to see that while no one else seemed to notice or to care.

As Hellion lashed out at the teleporter with her fist aimed squarely at his face plate, Skywarp could only think of the similar hit Darkride had laid on him some time ago, embarrassing him in front of all the other seekers. It was something ‘Warp would never forget or allow to happen again. The mere thought of it made him angry and that clearly began to show in his facial expression as the femme’s fist came closer, almost appearing to move in slow motion.

Skywarp could’ve teleported out of the way. That would’ve been easy to do, but it also could’ve been construed as cowardly. Instead, he held his ground and quickly reached up with one hand, catching Hellion’s punch directly in his palm. He held on to it for a moment before throwing her fist aside and glaring back down at the berserker. “So, you think you can knock me down the way Darkride did back on the oil rig? You think I’m only some stupid grunt who likes to play pranks and who you can disrespect all you want?! Well, you’re wrong, Hellion! There’s much more to me than what you’ve seen, and whether you like it or not I’m in charge of this mission!”

Skywarp’s words grew louder with each passing astrosecond as the anger and frustration inside him came boiling to the surface. 'Warp was tired of being treated like some mech’s personal punching bag, and he wasn’t going to take it any longer, not from a femme, not from anyone. At the same time, though, he knew that losing control would only serve to make the situation even worse than it already was. Therefore, he took a deep breath in an attempt to calm his seething circuits. “I don’t want to fight you, Hellion, and I never meant to treat you like a moron. That was not my intention. I'm asking you, let's stop this pointless bickering and get to fighting some Autobots like we originally came here to do! I'm not your enemy. They are!"

Skywarp’s optics remained fixated on Hellion. It was only then that he truly realized the gravity of the words that had just come from his mouth piece. He maintained a strong stance, not letting his insecurities show through. However, at the same time, he couldn’t help but worry about Nightraven’s reaction to all this. Would she think less of him for verbally lashing out at her sister or would she understand the reasons behind those words? Either way, the teleporter hoped that Nighty would soon intervene and help prevent this situation from exploding beyond its already volatile state.

Nightraven caught the slight smile Skywarp flashed her before Hellion jumped down from the oil pipe and stalked over to the teleporter. Nightraven let out a low groan knowing exactly what Hellion was doing. She watched carefully, not wanting to get in the way just yet, but she remained ready to intervene if Hellion took things too far.

The altercation did not deteriorate into an all-out brawl thanks in part to Skywarp’s handling of the situation, but it seemed that Hellion was not satisfied with his response. She went right back at Skywarp, at first verbally, but she quickly turned the verbal assault in to a physical one by throwing a punch aimed for Skywarp’s face.

Hellion, no!”

Nightraven moved as fast as she could, but Skywarp had already caught her sister’s fist in his raised palm. Nightraven let out a low sigh of relief. She had no desire to watch as her sister tried to beat the slag out of one of their own, especially if that one was Skywarp. She cringed slightly when Skywarp threw her fist aside and his voice grew louder as he addressed the berserker. Her features lightened as she listened to what he was trying to make Hellion understand. When Skywarp had finally finished Nightraven moved to step in front of the two seekers, but instead of facing Skywarp indicating she had taken sides with her sister, she instead stood facing Hellon. Nightraven stepped back until her back rested gently against Skywarp’s chest; with here in such a position Hellion had no way of attacking him again unless she went through her.

“Helly, please drop it. You, Slipstream and Thrust can head to the central hub and begin the attack. Ramjet, Skywarp and I can handle things here. The sooner you get there the sooner the Autobots will notice we’re here. Go, please. Thrust, you and Slipstream go with her.”

Re: Iranian Desert - Attack of the Seekers!

Ramjet felt a smirk creep in on his faceplate, if Hellion was going to keep fighting, which is probably what is going to happen because of her fist was tossed aside pathetically. Maybe when Hellion demolishes Skywarp he can take his place quickly, showing how his new order would be much better than Starscream's.

But then, Nightraven made an angering remark. She wanted him to stay behind and do the "Loading Job" where the rest of the Decepticons (Most notably Slipstream) were sent over in the Oil Refinery. Joy. His anger was boiling fast, if things didn't go his way quick, they would have a lot more on their hands than an angry Hellion, they would have to deal with Ramjet as well.

Ramjet clenched his fists and gritted his teeth in effort to keep quiet.

Waspinator jumped back to avoid the flying fist of Hellion and he fluttered his wings in distaste. Waspinator transformed into his robot mode and sidestepped away from the coming brawl.

He was calm until Nightraven said something about making some of the Con's go to the Refinery, but she missed one of them that meant a great deal to him. Himself. Waspinator was furious about this, but he didn't do anything stupid, he just said, "What about Wazzpinator?"

Iranian Desert – Sarvak Layer of the Oil Field

"That suits me just fine! Mayhem and destruction beats watching couple of protoforms bickering anytime!" Thrust bellowed almost an instant reply to Nightraven's suggestion of attacking the central hub of the oil field.

Igniting the thrusters in his feet, Thrust rose to the air, throwing one more jab at Hellion, "Come on girlie! I'll show you how real warrior performs!"

Before the berserker warrior could react to his boasting violently, Thrust transformed and rocketed towards the central hub of the oil field with speed that none of the other Decepticons in the team could match without their fancy teleportation skills or transwarp portals.

Just as Thrust sped away, a transmission from Dirge reached Skywarp. >>"Dirge to Skywarp. No sign of suitable natural hiding spots available. Several options possible. Human created buildings large enough to fit a train car, human camouflage nets used to poorly hide their military or strategic positions. Also possibility of attaching the train car into an actual train."<<
