As Hellion threw the punch at Skywarp she heard the shout from her sister. It was enough to cause her to lighten up on the punch. That was the only reason why the other seeker was able to catch her punch, let alone stand there and give a speech without receiving a follow up punch. She glanced over at Nightraven, a scowl on her face, before looking back at Skywarp. She sneered at him as he just spewed more words. Had hanging around Starscream so long changed him this badly.

“Words are all you have left now Skywarp,” she spat out at him. “You’re already forgetting what it was like to be a warrior. Next time I throw a punch at you, hiding behind words and my sister.” She glanced over at Nightraven again before looking back at Skywarp. “Next time be ready and face me like a warrior, if you think you can.”

With that said Hellion leapt into the air and transformed. She made sure to kick in her afterburners right at Skywarp, hopefully singing or scorching his armor a bit before she took off after Thrust. She maneuvered into position behind the other seeker and activated her weapon systems. >>”One more comment like that Thrust and I’ll cut loose on you. Then we’ll see how fast you can really fly.”<<

*

Slipstream silently watched as events unfolded in front of her. It seemed that Skywarp did have some ambition in him, even if he denied it. This certainly wasn’t the seeker she had heard about from reputation. It was an interesting development to be certain. The leadership situation now certainly created opportunities like that for rapid advancement. She herself wasn’t interested in rank, as it would only anchor her with responsibilities.

That didn’t mean there were no opportunities here. While she didn’t want rank for herself, she did like those with power to be indebted to her. The seeker wanted to use that power without the responsibilities. The only trick was to pick the winning side in this situation. Skywarp certainly had the backing of Nightraven, but not Hellion. She had caught some disdain from Ramjet as well. Of course neither of those two were exactly intellectuals. On the other hand Skywarp seemed to have only one other on his side, on this mission at least.

It seemed the best course of action was to keep quiet and see how things develop. She transformed and darted after the other two, keeping in the back to avoid the two hot heads.

Skywarp did not expect Hellion to back down in any way, so her continued aggression was anticipated just as it had been previously. Truth be told, if she had been any other seeker, 'Warp would've made a quick example of her in front of the rest of the group. He was tired of being talked down to and treated like a mere grunt. If it wasn't for Nightraven's presence, there would have been the fight that the berserker was looking for.

As it was, Nightraven had stepped between the two, carefully resting her back against Skywarp's chest plate. She pleaded with her sibling to stop and go with the others to the central command hub at the center of the oil field. It was a clear indication that she had taken the teleporter's side in this argument, which was a bit of a surprise since Hellion was her sister and 'Warp was nothing more than an interest at this point. However, the prankster accepted the help and smirked at the angry femme's reaction.

“Words are not all I have,” Skywarp muttered quietly as Hellion took off into the air to follow after Thrust. 'Warp quickly placed his hands on Nightraven's shoulders and then teleported both her and himself back several yards in order to avoid the heat from Helly's afterburners. The berserker's aim had been purposely directed towards the teleporter alone, but with Nighty standing in front of him, she would've inadvertently felt the singe, as well. “I'm sure she was aiming for me and not you, Nighty,” Skywarp assured her. “And thank you for the support. At least someone around here thinks more of me than just a simpleton.”

The prankster removed his hands from Nightraven's shoulders and quietly moved away towards the train car. As he did so, 'Warp heard Waspinator's question about what he should now do. The black and purple seeker looked over at the Insecticon and frowned. “You can head to the central hub and raze the place with the others.” Skywarp said nothing further as he turned his attention to the last remaining pile of energon cubes and quickly scooped them up in his arms. Once they were placed inside the box car, 'Warp received a signal from Dirge that he had been unable to find a natural hiding place for the energon. However, he did mention several alternative options they could use. None of them were particularly great, but one would have to suffice. The teleporter quickly sent a response back:

>>"Understood, Dirge. Find a large camouflage net to cover the train car. We'll mostly bury it within a sand dune and then conceal the top with the net. Rendezvous with us at the following coordinates deep in the desert. We'll be there shorty."<<

Skywarp then closed the large, metal door of the train car and secured the latch before turning back towards Nightraven and Ramjet. “Okay, we're all done here. My sensors are picking up human vehicles moving in from the east so we need to get going now. Let's transform and use our grappling hooks to carry the box car deep into the desert north of here. We're going to half bury it in the sand and then cover it with a camouflage netting that Dirge finds. The energon should be well concealed until we are able to transport it up to the Ultrax. Once that's done we can rejoin the others at the hub and finally do what we came here to do.”

Skywarp shot a brief smile in Nightraven's direction before assuming his F-22 Raptor alt mode and launching himself into the sky. He quickly came around and lowered his grappling hook down, attaching it on to the center of the box car. Once Nighty and Ramjet did the same on either end of the container full of energon, the trio of seekers could head off to meet Dirge deep in the desert.

Azadegan Oil Field - Central Hub

Thrust had paid little attention to Hellion thorough their short flight to the central hub of the Azadegan oil field. He was built for greater speeds than the berserker femme and could have escaped from her any moment he desired. Besides, he was pretty certain that attacking the oil field would focus Hellion's rage away from him.

>>"There it is Hellion - let us show the meatsacks full meaning of fear!"<< Thrust roared to his comm-unit as soon as his sensors picked up the central hub of the oil field. Routing more power to his thrusters, Thrust passed over the first half of the hub barely above its highest buildings before suddenly making a rapid acceleration to mach 10. The shockwaves from this brutal acceleration shattered windows and shook the human constructs below him like a 6,1 richter localized earthquake. Humans began running all over the area holding their ears in obvious pain, giving the mean spirited Decepticon warrior sinister delight.

>>"Look at the squishies run!"<< Thrust laughed into his communicator, turning his overdrive of and making a turn in the skies to allow another attack against the oil field hub. This time however he let his laser cannons do the speaking. Knowing that the tanks holding natural gasses were far more flammable than raw oil tanks, the focus of his attack was clear. His blasts tore into the tanks containing natural gas, setting up several massive explosions and an impressive firestorm that began setting up the raw oil tanks in fire, which in turn made the firestorm grow uncontrollably. >>"If the 'bots ain't taking notice of this they must wasted on low grade energon!"<<
________________________________________________________

About at the same time as Thrust assaulted the oil field hub, Dirge sent another transmission to Skywarp. >>"Acknowledged Skywarp. Camoflage netting secured, moving to rendezvous coordinates."<<

Hellion stewed as she flew towards the target area. The fact that Thrust had actually decided to shut up for the most part had only improved her mood slightly. The confrontation had angered her to a great extent, the only think keeping her from tearing into Skywarp being the presence of her sister. While that had stopped her from mangling Skywarp, it had fed her rage even more. There were definitely going to be confrontations with both of them in the near future and she knew at least one of them would get violent.

The seeker’s attention turned to Thrust as he began his assault on the installation below. She wasn’t particularly impressed by his assault. It seemed all the other seeker could do was make noise, either as a weapon or with his vocalizer. Still, some destruction seemed like it would relieve some of her anger for now. She soared over the collection of buildings and unleashed one of her smart bombs. The explosive whistled through the air until slamming into a building below, detonating with enough force to shake the Earth for some distance.

The femme banked in the air, coming around for another pass. This time she opened up with her machine guns, tearing into buildings, machinery and people as she strafed the ground. She was beginning to feel a bit better, but only real combat would give her a full release.

*

Slipstream continued to hang back as the other two began to rain down fire and terror on the pitiful humans below. She had never been one to commit violence for the sake of violence. She left chores like that for the more simple minded and violence craving members of the Decepticon army. Best that they get such feelings out now on the natives then use it against her, or too close to her.

That said, she had been sent to do some attacking herself. She was already sticking out among this group of Decepticon thugs. She had always been good at adapting to the situation and those around her, and this would be no exception. Let out a loud cackle she dived at the ground, spinning about like a corkscrew, firing blast after blast from her laser cannons at the fleeing natives before pulling up at the last second. >>”They certainly don’t run very fast, but they burn very nice.”<< She laughed again over the communication line with Thrust and Hellion. Internally she found herself bored with the whole situation.

Ramjet looked with the look of betrayal on his face. Waspinator was going to the Central hub to attack and Ramjet wasn't? This was crazy! Ramjet felt that the only way to keep his anger in check, was to ignite the oil. Make some kind of destruction.

Ramjet looked over to the Energon and decided, it was too far away to be affected by any fire, or explosion. When Skywarp issued orders, Ramjet walked over to the pipe and fired his weapon. The laser bolt shot from his gun, and ignited the fuel that remained in the line.

Ramjet quickly transformed and flew into the air, he then quickly attached the tow cable to the Train Car. When it was all secured, then they could fly off to safety.

Waspinator literally jumped for joy as he received news that he was going to go with the first wave of Decepticons to ravage the humans. It was the little things that mattered.

The look of shock and betrayal on Ramjet's faceplate made Waspinator make a mocking face and point one of his digits at Ramjet and laughed (as only Waspinator can).

"Waspinator better than Ram-Bot!" And with that, Waspinator transformed into a giant wasp and flew off into the central hub.

The whole time his was on the way, he was firing his ion antennae at the facility below, striking down humans and bursting through buildings.

Finally, Waspinator felt happy!

(OOC: I want to get these guys moved to the secure hiding area. SmokescreenGT, please have all three Seekers release the train car and then place the netting over it.)

Just as Nightraven had lowered her hands and let out a heavy sigh, she felt Skywarp’s hands on her shoulders and before she could respond he had teleported her out of the way of Hellion’s afterburners. The sudden teleport caused a slight feeling of dizziness, but the femme simply shifted to lean on Skywarp for a little support.

Once the awkward feeling subsided Nightraven took her weight off of the teleporter and looked up at him when he tried to convince her Hellion’s aim was just for him. She shook her head slightly and simply patted Skywarp on the chest.

“Trust me, it might have looked that way, but I know her better than anyone. I’m going to have to talk to her once this is over.”

She nodded and smiled when he thanked her for the support. It wasn’t as though he didn’t deserve it. He was trying his best to prove that he was more than just a punk and a bruiser, and in her optics his efforts were not unnoticed. Her smile faded slightly at his last statement, but he gave her no time to respond. He removed his hands from her shoulders and made his way to the train car.

Nightraven watched the black and purple Seeker as he loaded the remaining energon cubes and closed the door to the train car. She broke off her gaze when he announced that he was picking up some human vehicles that would be heading to their location shortly.

She caught his smile and quickly returned one before, she too, took on her F-15 Eagle mode and launched into the air. Nightraven positioned herself over the train car and lowered her grappling hook. It attached to the front of the car. At that moment Ramjet had decided to ignite the pipeline. Thanks to the vapors left in the line it went up like dry tinder.

Nightraven did not berate the conehead she just wanted to get this mission over with as soon as possible. Once Ramjet had secured his grappling hook the trio of Seekers slowly ascended and began to transport the train car to Dirge’s rendezvous point. During their flight Nightraven opened a channel to Skywarp.

>>”You’re welcome, by the way. And don’t worry about Hellion. I’ll handle her. I think she’s just frustrated with no outlet….which seems to be her usual problem. What I’m saying is don’t pay her any mind. Just keep doing what you’re doing.”<<

She didn’t close her link; instead she simply let the silence fill the airwaves for a moment before she spoke again.

>>”I…I…want you to know that I’m really glad you’re working so hard at this. Keep it up, Skywarp.”<<

Once Ramjet and Nightraven had assumed their jet modes and attached their respective grappling hooks to the train car, Skywarp transferred full power to his thrusters as the three seekers lifted the container of energon off the desert floor and into the skies above. They flew low to avoid radar detection, heading for the rendezvous point where Dirge would hopefully be waiting for them with the needed netting.

Along the way, Nightraven tried to ease the teleporter’s concerns regarding her sister, promising that she’d handle the situation accordingly. She also offered him more encouragement, expressing her happiness with how hard he has worked to be taken more seriously. Her words made him feel a bit better about everything even though he was still concerned with how others now perceived him. Instead of his comrades viewing him as a mindless grunt, it seemed as though he was now looked upon as being softer, more political and less of an actual warrior than before. ‘Warp never saw himself as a politician or even a leader. He never had any interest in those sorts of things. But, for the sake of his relationship with Nightraven, he wanted to be more than just a mere brute while still preserving his image as one of the seeker elite. After all, he didn’t want his feelings for Nighty to cloud his fighting instinct or otherwise change him in too many ways. It was a delicate balance to try and maintain, especially for a mech like the Decepticon prankster.

>>”I’ll do my best, and you’re probably right, Nightraven. I’m sure Hellion will feel better once the Autobots arrive and the real fighting begins. Although, I also don’t want to put a wedge between you two. You’re sisters and I don’t want to get in the way of that.”<<

Skywarp’s voice trailed off over the comm as he thought about what he was saying. He wanted more than anything to have a relationship with Nightraven and he was willing to do what it took to achieve that goal. However, he also had to consider how such a pairing would ultimately affect Hellion as the berserker would likely not accept Nighty and ‘Warp being together in any way, shape or form. It could very well come down to Nightraven having to choose between them, but that was a subject better broached at another time.

>>”We’re here.”<< Skywarp’s voice came over the comm line again, as Dirge could be seen down below standing near a large sand dune with a camouflage net by his side. The teleporter and his two aerial companions lowered the train car down until it landed softly at the base of the dune. The three seekers then disengaged their grappling hooks as ‘Warp transformed and landed atop the mound of sand. Using his arm-mounted lasers, he blasted away at the dune, causing some of the sand to slide down and partially bury the box car. Once that was done, the prankster leapt down to the desert floor and took hold of the netting Dirge had procured. With the help of the other seekers, 'Warp covered the exposed top portion of the container, securing the large net on all sides.

Skywarp then took a step back and examined the now concealed box car, testing some of the ropes as he walked around it. Once he was satisfied that all of the lines were firmly in place, he turned towards Nightraven, Ramjet and Dirge. “Well, I think that should be enough to keep the energon safely hidden. We’ll come back for it once the mission is finished. Now, let’s all get to the main hub with the others. I have a gut feeling they’re going to be needing back-up real soon.”

With a quick nod directed more so at Nighty than the other two, Skywarp transformed back into his F-22 mode and rocketed into the sky again, aiming his nosecone straight towards the center of the oil field.

Ramjet transformed and landed on the dust next to the large train car that held the Energon that they previously had filled. Ramjet took a corner of the net and threw it over the Train Car. There was something other than destroying Autobots and Slipstream on his mind. Why is Skywarp being so hostile to his Seeker Brother? Something inside him wanted to blurt out "Save it for the enemy!", but Ramjet held it all in, figuring it would all pass over in due time.

"Alright! Let's go have some fun!" Ramjet felt relief course through his circuits as he spoke the words.

A smile curled at his metal lips as he transformed and made for the Hub.

He fell into line beside Nightraven and asked through a comm link, >>Do you know why 'Warp is being so hostile towards me?<<

>>Its probably nothing, but still; It bugs me. Oh, and, you've worked with Slipstream before, and, you know something about her, right?<< Ramjet said through the Comm Link.

Waspinator soared from above and began biting and stinging what human dared to exit the "Safety" of their buildings. Waspinator laughed audibly and fired his Ion Antennea at buildings, shattering the glass on impact.

"Wazzpinator having FUN now!" Waspinator said as he picked up a car with his long Insect legs and flew it into the air.

He fired his Ion Antennea a few more times, striking the fuel tank and sending it as a fireball to the groaund setting ablaze to a supply tent.

He transformed and hovered there with a wicked smile on his mandibles as he stared at the destruction below. This was getting to be one of the best missions he has ever been on!

Little did he know that he forgot about the Autobots coming.

Thrust had had his fun. Blowing up stuff and scorching helpless humans alive was certainly fun enough but he had not forgotten the mission details. This was a distraction operation and if the Autobots arrived without seeing at least one Decepticon being busy with stealing something, they would quickly realize that this operation was taking place only to deceive them from something else. Knowing full well that Hellion could not be bothered with something like that or the nutjob would blow a fuse or dozen and that Waspinator was too preoccupied with his own type of lunacy, it left very few options for Thrust to choose from.

And truth to be told, he rather took notes on what human weapons were capable of from afar.

>>"Oh Hellion! Be a dear and deal with those approaching fleshling military targets would you? Someone needs to make it look like we are here to steal something so our cover isn't blow the moment Autobots arrive and see only destruction and well, as the only sane one here I suppose it is my task. Slipstream, give me a hand would you?"<< Thrust transmitted the two seeker femmes as he transformed and landed near a large oil tank in robot form.

After opening a storage compartment in his thigh, Thrust quickly removed a portable cube generator from it and began creating empty energon cubes. At least Starscream wouldn't get to blame him for not following orders.

Nightraven was relieved to know that Skywarp would not hold Hellion’s little meltdown against her. After all, the berserker had been denied her lust for battle and the only way she could alleviate her frustration was to vent.

The Seeker femme was roused from her reverie as Skywarp’s voice came over her comm. Once he, Ramjet, Dirge and she released the train car, Skywarp transformed and landed atop it. Nightraven quickly transformed to her bipedal mode and took one corner of the netting and assisted in securing it over the box car.

Nightraven watched as the teleporter walked around the car to ensure that it was completely concealed and secure. Once he was satisfied, Skywarp suggested the group head to the hub and do what they were sent to do.

She caught his nod directed at her and smiled faintly so as not to draw attention. She followed in his wake and transformed to her F-18 mode and headed off toward the hub. It was a few moments before she realized that Ramjet had pulled alongside of her and opened up a comm line with her. She let out a sigh before answering his query.

>>”Perhaps it’s because you tend to stick your nosecone where it’s not wanted. I suggest you keep your distance and just let him be.”<<

His second line of questioning caught her slightly off guard. She was not expecting someone like Ramjet to be interested in anything other than flying head on into anything solid and pining for leadership.

>>”Uh, actually, I’ve never worked with Slipstream before. To be honest, I don’t think she's worked with anyone. You know, now that I think of it the only other Seeker I’ve worked with was Blackwind. But if you’re still interested in pursuing Slipstream, then I suggest you just strike up a conversation with her.”<<

From her position, Nightraven could see the hub and the weapons fire most likely coming from Thrust, Hellion, Slipstream and Waspinator. Nightraven accelerated and pulled up beside Skywarp. She then opened a private link with the black and purple Seeker.

>>”I’m going to take a position above the central hub. The coating on my fuselage will ensure I’m not seen, giving me the upper hand in spotting the ‘Bots first. Umm, unless you have other orders for me.”<<

Skywarp flew in towards the oil field’s primary hub where he could already see that the others had begun their assault. Multiple explosions and smoke plumes littered the complex that was the size of a small city. Humans ran for cover as they came under seeker fire. This display would surely grab the Autobots’ attention. Even a nation-state as secretive as this one could not hide such an attack from the rest of the world. And even if they tried to, Soundwave would make sure their attempted cover-up failed miserably from his station on board the Ultrax.

As the destruction ahead drew closer, Nightraven fell in beside Skywarp and opened her private comm line with him. Her suggestion to assume an altitude above the hub to keep watch for the Autobots’ arrival was one that they had discussed previously. It made the most sense given her special ability to cloak herself. Of course, she left her suggestion open ended for the possibility of any change in orders that ‘Warp might have. If he were in robot mode, the teleporter would’ve smiled as she clearly didn’t want to supersede his leadership role.

>>”That’s fine, Nighty. It’s what we talked about before and I see no reason to change our plans. Radio me and the others at the first sight of the Autobots, themselves, or even their bounce beam if it’s visible. Meanwhile, I’m going to make sure this attack looks like a fuel raid and not just a random act of violence meant as a distraction. Good luck, Nighty, and be careful. If you need me, just holler.”<<

Skywarp then broke away from the femme seeker and descended towards the hub that was now beneath him. He made sure to steer clear of the areas where Hellion was conducting her razing and instead began looking for a source of energy that he could tap into. While he did so, 'Warp unleashed a pair of missiles into a nearby building, destroying it with ease and temporarily satisfying his thirst for carnage until the real enemy arrived. The teleporter would love to continue blowing up some random buildings like the others were doing, but he also knew that he’d have plenty of chances to destroy things once the Autobots joined the party. Until then he would save his energy and conduct the operation as the diversion that it was intended to be.

Skywarp was happy to see that Thrust had already realized this and was creating some empty energon cubes near a fuel tank. However, it would take more than one ‘Con trying to steal resources to fool the Autobots. Therefore, the teleporter banked to his left and flew to the opposite side of the hub where the main power station that supplied electricity to the entire installation was located. Transforming to robot mode, ‘Warp landed on the ground near the large dynamo, squashing an unfortunate human under his right foot. “Yuck! Disgusting insect!” The prankster exclaimed as he attempted to rub the red slime off of his heel and onto a nearby wall. “I hate organics.”

The black and purple seeker then pulled out his own portable cube generator from subspace and began creating several empty energon cubes. Setting them on the ground near the electrical unit, Skywarp kept a hold of another in his hands and connected it to one of the dynamo’s power couplings. Electricity began filling the cube almost immediately, causing the lights that still functioned to flicker and dim all across the hub. Once the one cube was full, he repeated the process with a second, all the while waiting for Nightraven’s signal that the Autobots were on their way.

Hellion let out a cackle as she dropped another bomb on one of the buildings. The explosion that followed shortly after was like a charge through her systems. The feud with Skywarp was temporarily forgotten as she reveled in the destruction she was creating on the pitiful humans beneath her. The explosions and screams only urged her on to cause more mayhem.

The seeker gave a grunt to Thrust’s request. She felt a twinge of anger at the other seeker, but quickly relieved it by flying low and allowing her razor sharp wings slice through a ladder several of the humans were trying to flee down. She roared towards the two approaching Iranian aircraft as the humans hurtled to the ground below.

Hellion rapidly closed with the other two fighters, firing off a pair of missiles at one of them, know that two would be more then a human pilot could dodge. She then focused her attention on the other fighter, flying straight at it. Both of the human planes opened up cannon fire on her, but she ignored it, continuing her game of chicken with the human pilot. At the last second he tried to escape, even as his wingmate was destroyed by one of the missiles. He tried to juke out of the way but she turned just enough to allow her wing to slash through one of his, sending him spinning towards the ground.

The femme turned around just in time to see the two pilots floating to the ground on parachutes as their wrecked planes smashed into the ground. With a snicker Hellion opened up with her machine guns, obliterating the parachutes and sending the humans falling to the ground. There would be only one survivor of that battle.

*

Slipstream let out a silent sigh as Thrust requested her assistance. From menial labor to combat back to menial labor, she did not like being made just another one of the common grunts. This situation was going to have to be rectified quite quickly when they all returned to base. Apparently Megatron had been the only one to truly appreciate what she was truly capable of. She was certainly far above this crude work.

>>”On my way Thrust,”<< she signaled him, somehow not allowing any trace of her annoyance to show. She swooped down towards Thrust and transformed, gracefully landing on the ground next to him. Barely stifling another sigh she grabbed one of the empty cubes and began filling it with oil spilling from a punctured pipe, trying not to look too bored.

Short Distance from the Central Hub

The pillar of light struck the ground and quickly withdrew to the skies above, leaving the collected Autobots in its place.

Ironhide shook his head, trying to shake off the disorientation of orbital bounce a little quicker. He had never been crazy about traveling the way, but when you couldn’t fly on your own you didn’t have much choice.

“Alright Autobots, lets transform, move out and bust some Deceptichops!” he yelled out with a smile before transforming. Sure, they might be walking into a trap, but darned if it didn’t feel good to be getting into action. The Cons had a lot to answer for and this mission was going to just be the start. With a roar from his engine the Autobot took off down the crude road in the desert towards the central hub.

Warpath staggered as he tried to regain his balance after the bounce.

"ZAM, I'll never get used to that slagging bounce-thing." the warrior yelled.

As soon as he had his bearings the maroon warrior transformed into his tank mode. He followed behind Ironhide as fast as he could, which wasn't saying much. Though his Sheridan tank mode had been built for this type of terrain, it still didn't change the fact that he was far slower than all the rest of the Autobots.

"Just ZOOM bring those Decepti-bums over here, fly-guys, and we'll blow 'em out of the sky!", Warpath hollered to the Aerialbots, "Hey, Hardhead, first 'bot WHAM take down one of those slaggers gets the first glass of energon!"

Hardhead materialized in the Iranian Desert as the beam of light retreated into the blue skies above. He staggered a bit as his gyros re-calibrated to adjuster for the usual sensation of an orbital bounce. He was a big mech so he had no real problem staying on his feet. The war veteran surveyed the landscape seeing mostly sand and rocks for as far as the optics could see. There was one area of exception, though, and that was several miles from their current position at the Central Hub of the oil field. It was there on the horizon that he could see plumes of thick, black smoke rising up from the ground. The Decepticons were definitely responsible, all right. The experienced green soldier could feel it in his circuits.

"Time to slag some 'Cons!" Hardhead shouted as he assumed his Stryker Armored Vehicle mode. He rolled forward through the desert sand, following behind Ironhide who had easily pulled ahead of him and his fellow crimson tank-former. "That first glass of energon is all mine, buddy!" The stubborn 'Bot responded to Warpath's comment as he took up a parallel course with the faux Sheridan tank, maintaining a reasonable distance from his red comrade in order to spread out a bit and cover more ground. "I tell ya, 'Path, it'll feel good blowing a few of those supposedly elite seekers out of the sky. Way better than shooting at training drones, that's for sure!"

Silverbolt and Slingshot landed on the sand. Slingshot landed on a slightly more solid spot with one of his feet. When it gave away, it made Slingshot topple. Silverbolt quickly grabbed his fellow Aerialbot to help him steady himself again. Then they quickly transformed and headed towards the rising black smoke.

"SO do I have permission to take whatever shot I find?"

"If I understood Ironhide correctly, Slingshot, that would work but remember that we are out numbered most likely."

Silverbolt then noticed some fighting very close to them over what looked like some sort of hub on his radar. From what he could tell, one signal was Con.

"Slingshot, looks like we have our first target ahead. It is a lone Seeker but that will be only the first."

"Ironhide, this is Silverbolt. We located a lone Seeker so far over a human hub. We are preparing to engage now. I'm expecting reinforcements for the Seeker soon unless this is one likes to go solo but even then I doubt the other Seekers are too far from this location."

Without responding to Silverbolt, Slingshot open fire on the Seeker (Hellion)hoping to hit it or at least gets its attention. Silverbolt flew a few yards away giving himself and Slingshot room to manuever if needed. He charged his weapon and held it waiting to see what the Seeker will do.

Iranian Desert – Above the Central Hub

Had she been in her robot mode, Nightraven would have smirked when she received Skywarp’s response. She rose high above the Central Hub that consisted of smaller structures that pin wheeled out from the center. With her cloaking ability she was able to travel a few hundred miles around the complex while keeping an eye out for any signs of the Autobots.

She had only been on watch for less than an hour when she noticed that familiar bright light slice through the sky and pool on to the ground. It looked as though the bounce beam left off its passengers a few hundred miles outside of the complex. Nightraven quickly scanned for Autobot signatures and came up with a total of six. That’s all?

Nightraven opened up a link with Skywarp.

>>”Skywarp, I was able to identify the ‘Bots' bounce beam. I scanned for signatures; there seems to be only six. Four of them are grounders, the other two are Aerialbots. I’m heading back now.”<<

The F-18 turned around and headed straight for the hub when she heard the engines of the two fliers. Silverbolt and Slingshot were already headed in to engage whoever was there. Nightraven took note of their flight path and opened a comm link withHellion.

>>”Helly! There’re Aerialbots headed in your direction!”<<

With her warning given out to her sister, Nightraven made her way back to the center of the hub.

Hellion was still feeling the rush of taking out the two fighters as she continued to rain destruction down on the ground below her. Impressive craters and plumes of smoke now decorated the landscape and sky as she happily continued her work. She found herself slightly distracted by Nightraven’s signal, but did not slow her reign of destruction. It was only when her sister mentioned her name directly that she bothered to pay attention.

With her sister’s warning Hellion kicked in the afterburners and pulled up. The seeker wasn’t known for her maneuverability, but with her sister’s warning she was able to avoid most of the incoming fire. Still, she got rocked by one hit. It hurt, but didn’t do serious damage yet. With a roar of anger she broke off her ascent, turning it into a dive on Slingshot. She fired off a missile while firing her machine guns, hoping to knock out the smaller Autobot fast and hard.

Ramjet soared overhead firing at the Hub with glee, finally they were getting somewhere! Even when the Autobots showed up to try to ruin the party, Ramjet was still happy. However, the look of Aerialbots on the horizon dampened his mood.

"Aww slag. Whelp, there goes the mood!" Ramjet remarked.

Oh but he knew the look of the Aerialbot leader... And Ramjet knew what to do! He broke off from his position beside Nightraven and spun in a speedy Aerial Maneuver and sped towards the distracted form of Silverbolt in hopes to ram his nosecone right through the opposing.

Waspinator cackled as he landed on the top of a building and pushed over the radio tower. No signals should get out now!

Waspinator suddenly noticed the Autobots had arrived, this was all news to him, for he had forgotten about the fact that they had dispatched to distract the Autobots. Waspinator shrugged off the shock and soared into the air above the Autobots and entered a strike position above Warpath.

He soared down and latched onto the turntable of the red tank and stung him with his poisonous barb, and biting Warpath at any opportunity.

"Wazzpinator-" Waspinator stopped talking to bite and sting again, "ATTACK!!!"

Only the strongest and the fastest will survive...

As Warpath's tank mode drove into battle, the warrior expected at any moment one of the seekers would come zooming towards him with laser fire, or possibly Ramjet going at him with a kamikaze attack. What he didn't expect was some strange, green Insecticon attacking him the only place his cannon couldn't hit- right on top of him

"BLAM, get off, bug brain!", Warpath shouted at Waspinator as he spun his turret, trying to throw his "passenger" off.

Though the Incecticon's bites and stings were doing some damage, they had yet to pierce Warpath's armor- at least not yet. If anything, it had been Warpath's pride that was hurt the most. Being caught unaware like this by a no-name bug-bot, it was unacceptable. If he was taken down like this, the other Autobots like Hardhead would never let him live it down.

When it was clear that Warpath wouldn't easily throw him off, the tank-bot transformed back into his robot mode. Where once Waspinator was clinging to the turret of a tank, now the Insecticon was on top of an angry Autobot warrior's chest and shoulders.

"POW, I'll show you my sting, bug-boy!", Warpath hollered as he threw a punch towards Waspinator's torso.

Skywarp placed a sixth energon cube into his small pile just as he received Nightraven’s transmission of the approaching Autobots. He looked skyward to see that the two Aerialbots had already arrived and were engaged with Hellion and Ramjet.

>>”I read you, Nighty. We should be able to handle only six of them with ease. Still, be careful.”<<

Abandoning the electrical power unit, Skywarp leapt into the air and transformed into his F-22 Raptor mode. He ignited his thrusters and quickly ascended over the central hub. With the two Aerialbots already being dealt with, ‘Warp realized that his initial attack would be against one or more of the ground based Autobots. He found it amusing that only two enemy fliers were sent to combat a group of seekers and one bug. The Autobots clearly had no idea with whom they would be fighting. Otherwise, they would’ve sent in the rest of the Aerialbots. No matter. It only made his job and that of the others a lot easier.

Flying in low over the hub’s outskirts, Skywarp took quick notice of an approaching red pick-up truck. Ah, the likely team commander. Taking him out early on will definitely make me look better in the optics of the others. No one will question my warrior status again, ‘Warp thought with glee as he targeted the lead ‘Bot. Astroseconds later, the prankster unleashed a pair of his heat-seeking missiles towards the ground, aimed directly at Ironhide. The old mech was a tough one to beat, but maintaining air superiority would hopefully give the prankster an advantage.

******

Hardhead rolled full steam ahead, trying to catch up with the rest of the team. As he and Warpath entered the outer edge of the oil field’s central hub, the green mech couldn’t help but notice Waspinator coming in to attack the crimson tank. The war veteran was about to give assistance when he saw his comrade having trouble shaking off the giant insect, but then changed his mind once Warpath returned to robot mode in order to deal with the pesky bug using his fists. Waspinator was hardly a challenge for a tank-former and therefore Hardhead knew that ‘Path could handle the annoying Insecticon himself.

Entering deeper into the central hub, Hardhead found two seekers on the ground filling energon cubes with the contents of a fuel tank. He found it odd that they would choose to focus on such a small amount of fuel when there were oil pipelines that they could tap into. Perhaps the humans had shut down the lines as a precautionary measure. Regardless, it was time to blast these two ‘Cons into oblivion. The Stryker armored vehicle brought his top-mounted 120mm cannon into position and fired several incendiary shells aimed squarely at Slipstream and Thrust. Even if both seekers managed to avoid a direct hit, Hardhead hoped that one of his shells would at least strike their pile of energon cubes, causing an explosion that would rattle their circuits.

Slingshot noticed that the Seeker, Hellion, he was facing was actually one of the decent ones for once. He barely was able to get out of the way of the missle but the bullets raked his left wing as he banked right. Usually this kind of fighting was more of Skydive or Air Raid's preference but Slingshot will prove that he isn't just good for sitting back and taking pop shots at his targets from afar.

"All right you stinking Seeker, it is time for you and I to dance. Let us do it with just guns and nothing else."

Silverbolt noticed a crazed Seeker trying to play what humans would call "chicken" by flying straight at him. To the Seeker's surprise, Silverbolt unleashed his electric charge that he been storing point blank at him. After the discharge, Silverbolt pulled to his left avoiding both the 'shocked' Seeker and the missle that was launched at Slingshot. It looks like Silverbolt was correct in wishing that Prowl allowed the rest to come with them when Silverbolt quickly noticed that all of the Cons were fliers.

Iranian Desert – Central Hub

Nightraven broke off her recon just as the Aerialbots took off for the hub. Thankfully Hellion received her warning giving her sister enough time to avoid their attack. She kept close watch over the ground based Autobots as they began to move toward the central location. The femme Seeker had been keeping a close eye on her chronometer and noticed that she had already been under her cloak for just under an hour. If she remained in the open any longer she’d be fully detectable to radar.

The F-18 began to work her way back to the others’ location when her cloak was dropped. She silently chided herself for not watching her timing more closely. Unfortunately, the best she could do was to kick in her afterburners and hope that she wasn’t picked up by any of the ‘Bots.

****

Upon arriving in the desert Ratchet took a quick cursory look around. The location was barren, hot and very dry. The medic mumbled under his breath about having to remove sand from some very sensitive areas once they got back, but to the others he said nothing.

Ratchet transformed and fell in line behind Ironhide. He made way for the two armored vehicles as they plowed forward to the outer edges of the hub. Right away Warpath found himself engaged with what looked like a green Insecticon. The tank-former had things well under control prompting the medic to switch his focus to Hardhead.

Things seemed to be going smoothly for him as well. It was the unmistakable roar of a jet engine that caught Ratchet’s attention next. He quickly transformed and made his way for one of the many buildings scattered about. The mostly black Seeker was low enough to get a good look at before letting loose a barrage of laser fire pelting the building with bits of sand and debris. Ratchet hunkered down only to peek past his hideout to see where the Seeker disappeared to.

The medic let out a sigh of relief when the jet hadn't returned. Not wanting any of the others to fall victim to the antics of this particular Seeker, Ratchet opened a link with Hardhead, knowing the war veteran would be able to take the black jet down without any trouble.

>>”Hardhead! It looks like Skywarp is here. He was just over my location. I don’t see him now so he might have teleported somewhere near you. Take him out as soon as you spot him. We don’t need him sneaking up on any of us.”<<

Nightraven had wanted to make a straight run for the central hub, but with the Autobot medic right in her flight path it made sense to strafe him and continue on. Thankfully he never had a chance to fire back giving her the chance to move closer to her destination.

She cringed internally when she noticed the large green armored vehicle engaging Slipstream and Thrust. The black F-18 Eagle descended low and let loose a volley of laser fire hoping to give the other two Seekers a chance to come about. Nightraven then pulled up and barrel rolled so that she could perform another attack on Hardhead.

Ramjet sped towards Silverbolt in hopes to ram him out of the sky, unfortunately the Aerialbot Commander decided that it was better to swerve away and fire a laser bolt at him. The bolt soared over Ramjet's left wing, narrowly missing him. Ramjet acted fast and pulled up, engaged his afterburners, did a half loop and spun around to make himself right-side-up. Now he was above Silverbolt and Ramjet fired his Null Rays down upon the Aerialbot Commander.

Waspinator was havinga a swell time attacking a seemingly Helpless Autobot, that is, until Warpath transformed and threw a punch at Waspinator's abdoman. The punch was a surprise to Waspinator, and he bit the punch right in the chest.

"Oof!!" Waspinator cried out as the fist kocked him back.

Waspinator qiuckly buzzed to the air and transformed, stopped his fluttering wings and dove down upon Warpath, knocking into him and after that, he stung his opposition's faceplate.

After knocking the annoying little buzzer off him, Warpath took an astrosecond to load up his cannon and regain his bearings. Unfortunately for the maroon warrior, that was more than enough time for Waspinator to go back on the attack.

Though too slow to react, Warpath was still strong enough to stand his ground as the green Insecticon flew into him.

"POW It'll take more than that too knock down this Autob- ACK!", he tried to brag when he was interrupted by a stinger to the face.

Whereas the earlier stings had been to Warpath's more thickly plated mid-section, his faceplate wasn't quite as heavily armored. This time the stinger managed to penatrate, injecting the poison into Warpath.

"WHY YOU SLAGGING-" Warpath yelled, and not in the fun, ready for action way he normally spoke, as he was truly angry now.

Ignoring the pain from the poison that was starting to spread in his body, Warpath aimed his cannon up at Waspinator and fired an explosive round.

"BANG!"

Hardhead had no time to see if his shells had hit Thrust, Slipstream or their energon payload when his attention was quickly drawn away from the action by Ratchet’s communication. Astroseconds later, a hail of laser fire rained down on the green AFV’s location, several blasts hitting his thick armored plating. The attack was annoying at best, leaving only minor scorch marks scattered across his chassis.

>>”I see him, Ratchet. The fragger just strafed me! Consider him taken out!”<<

Hardhead shifted his 120mm cannon away from the other two grounded seekers and attempted to point it skyward as the mostly black fighter pulled up and barrel-rolled in preparation for another attack. It was then that he noticed the jet in question appeared to be a different alt mode from what the war veteran had previously seen the prankster assume. While it was entirely possible that ‘Warp had changed forms in order to confuse the Autobot team, it was more probable that it was one of the similarly colored femme seekers like Nightraven since the teleporter was hardly known for his strategic ability. The green warrior didn’t really care who it actually was. Prankster or femme, the flying glitch was coming down one way or another.

Realizing that his new target was flying too high for him to properly aim his cannon, Hardhead transformed into his robot mode where he was able to train his powerful weapon at a steeper angle. He then locked sights on the black F-15 Eagle and quickly fired two explosive shells into the air, hoping one of them would knock Nightraven out of the sky.
