Is it just me, or does Wreckage look like what movie Megs SHOULD have been?

He's gray \ white, his head looks a little like Megatron's (way more than movie Megs at least) his chest resembles G2 Megs and he still fits in with the style of the other movie characters.

Had I not seen pictures of movie Megs and took a look at him, I would say "Oh hey, that's Megatron, cool."

While say, Prime's design isn't perfect, I'm accepting of it, because you can look at him and recognize him as Prime. Same with Jazz and Bumblebee. Ironhide works too, only they should have called him Trailbreaker. I'd even accept Blackout as Soundwave, because if you look closely at his head, it's very similar. The only movie designs I really can't stand are Megs , Starscream and Frenzy.

But while many of you have heard this before, movie Megs is... bleh. I would be so into it had they used Wreckage's design for Megatron, but not what they have now... =/

It isn't just you.

I was looking at the toy photos just now and I am wondering if they are trying to throw a fast one on us where that is actually what Megs will be in Earth form in the sequel(if there is one).

Seconded. Maybe Hasbro ran this design by Bay and he said no? :???: I can see it now:

Bay: "No! I'll make this movie how I want it to be! They're ALIENS, and aliens are bug apes that eat souls!"

that would be an interseting choice for magatron if he were to be in earth form but so i dont get off topic i do agree some changes would have to be made just add a mouth and should be all set to go.

but megatron earth vehical mode it seems to small for him to choose it would have to be bigger than what wreackage transforms into maybe something like this for megatron earth form vehicale mode maybe the SS-27 TOPOL-M

Actually, it turns out Bay was on a personal mission to piss you off, individually.

No, he wanted to make an alien invasion movie with a franchise on the front to sell it. Since you liked Godzilla '98, your acceptance of this movie is to be expected. Leave your hatred of me alone so this thread doesn't derail when Shadowman gets here. Besides, I'm not the only one pissed off.

Aw! He mentioned me! I'm honered. I really am.

"Your acceptance of this movie is to be expected?" What happens if someone who DOESN'T like Godzilla '98 likes this movie?

Really, man, stop assuming.

No, I read in a topic before I joined where Ironhidensh admitted to loving Godzilla '98. I think it was wiped in the forum erase, but it may have happened shortly after.

No, but you are the only one being a jackass idiot about it.

Now, normally, this isn't a problem. Jackass idiots can be a lot of fun, and liven up a dull party. The problem, you see, is that you aren't a funny Jackass idiot. You are an uninspired, horrifyingly dull, jackass idiot. You don't even show the promise kitty rose had for my personal entertainment, and that's saying something. However, you are all that I have right now, my friend, so we be stuck with each other.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go crack open anther beer, and drink it for Shadowman, since he's to young. If you want, you could surprise me, and post an intelligent critic of Bay and/or the Transformer movie. I'd actually be interested in reading that, as you do show a little bit of potential for a contributing post.

What do you consider intellegent? Liking the movie?

We need to get this topic back on track...

For starters, stop presenting your opinions on this movie as fact. Don't ever, ever, assume that if you like the movie, you aren't a 'real' or 'true' fan of Transformers. that is something that I absolutely hate. I can't stand Armada, Energon, or Cybertron, but I've never accused fans of those series of not being 'true' or 'real' Transformer fans.

Also, state why you don't like the designs. Explain why you feel they stray from what you (and I can't stress that "you" enough) think a Transformer should be.

And drop the Bay bashing. Its old, very, very, old.

:EDIT:

to be back on topic, after looking at the galleries for Wreckage, he does give off a slightly "Megatron" vibe. However, he seems a little small for the role.

in my opinion, i think that whats his face (wreckage i think) has a very similar head to BW dinobot, at least thats what i think.

points i'd like to bring up (but not to be continued)
I liked Godzilla '98.
I'm reserving total judgement on the film till after I've seen it.

Actually your wrong. Its the other way around.

Bay had to get the designs approved by Hasbro before they could enter full production of the robots in the movie, and without the Hasbro "yes" then it wouldn't go ahead.

As far as lil Wreckage is concerned, I can see fordorned Kitbashes appearing in the future where wrekage will become the basis for, or used for parts in, a Megatron Kitbash.

I really like Wrecage. Seems to be the stand out character of the movie toy line so far. I could see a green and purple repaint as megatron somewhere down the line.

I don't know, but I like Wreckage to be a Megatron, small or not. He's nice looking, and feels like Megatron. I'm actually excited to get this toy as much as Blackout.
