No.

Feel free to start one though. I'm sure it will attract millions of signatures. >:oP

Someone posted one back in May. Here ya go.
http://www.change.org/petitions/paramount-pictures-stop-any-more-tranformers-movie-sequels-and-just-reboot

As you can see it only got 5 signatures, so good luck with that.

I stand corrected on my "No" then.

That did give me a laugh though.

The only way he'll step down is if Paramount tells him to. Petitions, no matter how many signatures you can scrounge up, won't matter.

They'd probably very politely laugh in your face. The movies have made an obscene amount of money for everyone involved. Quality is debatable, of course, but companies never stop doing anything that's raking in loads of profits.

Personally, I think effort would be better spent on getting something like those straight-to-DVD animated features DC and Marvel are doing.
(Not to mention if we DID get Bay to step aside, the replacement would probably go in the same direction anyways)

What if I told you there were millions of fans, and non-fans (as CLEARLY demonstrated by the success of the three movies), that like what he did?

"He's made us how much money? Over $2.6 billion? Yeah, we'll be sure to fire him right away."

Not to mention all the merchandising. We may just think of the toys, but there was also birthday supplies, games, costumes, clothing, food, bedding, personal care items, and on and on.

But still there wasn't enough to make me happy in all the movie. Good enough to go watch, but not enough to say that it met my expectations. I'll still watch it but would enjoy a G1 accurate reboot better. Who wouldn't really?

It's all about the benjamins. Even though his films are less than stellar, you can't say that he hasn't made Hasbro a ton of money off of this.

A petition to get Michael Bay off of Transformers? Yeah, that's going to work. Good luck.

I've got a great idea for you. Don't go see the next movie in theaters, don't buy it or rent it when it comes out, and don't buy the merchandise. Go watch the '86 movie and buy some G1 reissues. There. It's that simple. No one's forcing you to watch the damn thing or pay for it.

Now if you don't mind I can't wait for Transformers 4 directed by Michael Bay to come out in two years. I will be very unhappy if you ruin it for me, and so will the millions of other people who are highly anticipating it.

I wouldn't. It would be trite and uncreative. I already watched the G1 series. It's fun and retro, but I don't need more of it. If or when they do a reboot I hope it's something completely different from this movie series and every other Transformers continuity. Transformers doesn't need 80's retro to thrive. It's time for everyone to just move on.

THIS so much. Lots of luck, though.

Opinion myopia generally prevents people from believing that, Burn.

Why all the Michael Bay hatred? I, for one, LOVED the trilogy. Yeah, they could've been better but the same could be true no matter who made them. Not everyone is going to be happy with the finished product. I didn't like some of the things that were done, but to me, the good far out-weighed the bad.

There are twomain problems with Bayformers: 1) Giant Robots seems to be only a decoys here. Everything is centered about Humans. 2) Despite the fact Decepticons have adventage in any possible way, Autobots wins any possible fight(maybe without Forest Battle) - even if enitre team of Optimus(Even Prime himself) seems to be as pathetic as it only could be.

That's because humans are easier for audiences to relate to (Considering the majority of the movie-going public is human) and giant robots are expensive to render in CGI.

How is this a problem with the movies? The Autobots rarely ever lose in the cartoons.

...I don't actually know what this means.

Sigh. Sometimes I feel like I really am the only entity in existence who appreciates his work with the 'formers.

You're not the only one. These forums are just a poor place to find people with similar opinions on the matter. Transformers fans aren't exactly known for being accepting of those with differing opinions. Just look at, well, every new iteration of the franchise. They always spawn levels of fanboy rage that should be considered mentally unhealthy.

TRUK NOT MUNKEY anyone?
