Why all the Michael Bay hatred? I, for one, LOVED the trilogy. Yeah, they could've been better but the same could be true no matter who made them. Not everyone is going to be happy with the finished product. I didn't like some of the things that were done, but to me, the good far out-weighed the bad.

There are twomain problems with Bayformers: 1) Giant Robots seems to be only a decoys here. Everything is centered about Humans. 2) Despite the fact Decepticons have adventage in any possible way, Autobots wins any possible fight(maybe without Forest Battle) - even if enitre team of Optimus(Even Prime himself) seems to be as pathetic as it only could be.

That's because humans are easier for audiences to relate to (Considering the majority of the movie-going public is human) and giant robots are expensive to render in CGI.

How is this a problem with the movies? The Autobots rarely ever lose in the cartoons.

Sigh. Sometimes I feel like I really am the only entity in existence who appreciates his work with the 'formers.

You're not the only one. These forums are just a poor place to find people with similar opinions on the matter. Transformers fans aren't exactly known for being accepting of those with differing opinions. Just look at, well, every new iteration of the franchise. They always spawn levels of fanboy rage that should be considered mentally unhealthy.

Well, like it was said in diffrent topic: Bad Guys have their moment of glory. Also, considering all facts about this Universe (Decepticons are bigger, stronger and better armed than Autobots, also they are created from warrior class, also, they ountumbered Autobots) it's really hard to belive that they can't do much. It is like Autobots won only because they are the "good ones" and because they are our allies.

It's hard to compare a new ideas from Beast Wars to removing any depth from Bayformers.

I don't know, Iron Hide and Sideswipes killing of Crankcase and Crowbar was pretty awesome. And also Bumblebee's judo/cannon blast killing of Soundwave was incredible.

It's hard to deny. But actually this is one of the main problems of the movies: It is like each Autobot must do something awesome, even if he supposed to be a friendly like scout, or a inceribly dumb brothers. For Autobots, failure is not a option, yet still it seems like they supossed to be family friendly and be less badass than Decepticons they defated.

In G1 Optimus was the one created to defend Cybertron (Alpha Trion upregade Orion Pax so he can stop Megatron) and seems to be superior in hand-to-hand combat. In Bayformers Optimus is a former archeologist and Megatron was military leader, even more in first movie it seems that Optimus is someway underdog in this conflict, and Megatron is always one step before him, I don't think Megatron even take him serious. Also in G1 and Animated usually Decepticons are he outnumbered ones. In Bayformers Autobots are ountumbered, they do'sent have acces to the most impresive toys of Cybertronian technology, most of Bots are canonically weaker than their Decepticons counterparts, yet in the end it simply won't change anything. Just give them few peoples for protect and endless limit of lucky shots.

"Ok, what if we have Transformers....but ANIMALS!"

How is that different from:

"Ok, what if we have Transformers...but as a LIVE ACTION MOVIE!"

Transformers has always been shallow. Don't delude yourself.
