Jolt the Volt

Weapon: Sonic Rifle
Ok I have been wondering about this for a while now. Am I the only one that liked Jolt? I think he would have been a great add to the team in DOTM if he had a bigger role. In ROTF he was basically a background character with a small role. Though, I think it would have been cool to see how he would fight on screen? You saw how Ratchet got taken out by a simple telephone line in TF1. So do you think that if Jolt was in DOTM and he got some screen time he could have been a pretty dangerous adversary. Would have been pretty cool to see him electrify some decepticons. Feel like he had a lot of potential for character development which wasn't used. What do you think?

I think it's safe to say that most, if not all, fans of the Movieverse love Jolt despite his very little screen time and the disappointment of not being brought back in the sequel. He's another one of those wasted potentials not being used in DOTM, among many.

Jolt is fudging awesome! He's one of those things that is really awesome but gets little attention, like God Hand and good music.

I think I read somewhere here on the boards that Jolt was killed in a battle defending some humans or something in one of the prequel comics?

I love JOLT, but ahhh...No way. Ratchet at least helped take out Brawl, got shot in the chest by Starscream, talked, used his gun, and helped bring back Optimus w/ Jolts assistance.

I've heard that too about Jolt's death in a prequal comic. I'd rather have seen him die in the film "if he had to die" I wanted to see Megs in truck mode transform next to him perhaps and be like Surprise witches......

Lack of Meg's alt mode and no Jolt in DOTM. What a shame......

don't love the character much due to the lack of screen time but those dual heat rods (you know, like the gouf from mobile suit gundam) of his would be total ownage if he uses it like omega red's omega destroyer in the capcom games

That's what I'm saying! I would just want to see him on screen use his heat rods/electorwhips (is that what there called?) and attack some3 decepticons to see what happens!

Not so much that I grew attached to him, but I also wish he was in DOTM because I like his design and potential. Seeing him fight some cons in the final battle would've been awesome. And I don't care about prequel comics and such, from what I've read, they're hardly followed anyway.

battle of shanghai: he would probably used them to grapple and stun sideways and would do the same to demolishor almost immediately after he reaches his neck/head area, minimizing damage to the city and the civilian populace.

against devastator: run underneath and shock him in the nads...KO

jolt is probably the most efficient warrior the autobots have, no wonder michael bay didn't include him (less chances for explosions)

his inclusion was essentially worthless, i hope it wasnt simply to be there to re energise prime, thats poor deus ex machina

I agree Optimus Primevil, his battle weapons/characteristics would have made him a formidable opponent. But that would detract from Michael Bay's awesomely huge explosions that we all love.

I was expecting this to somehow be a thread to hate Jolt, but...it's not, awesome.
I think Jolt was pretty cool, what with all those electrical powers and such. I pretty much ignore the comics anyways so to me, he's alive.

Yeah, sometimes I wish to not believe in the comics either. So I can hope that Jolt is alive, ready to comeback, and kick some Decepticon scrap metal!
