And I absolutely loved it. I will say there were too many humans for my tastes, but it was still good. I found Megatron to be very much more violent in this series (i.e. blowing a hole through Starscream & almost destroying Blitzwing & Skywarp). Also, I see Prime as to be less compassionate that in other Prime incarnations. Huh. I still didn't get why Starscream had Blitzwing & Skywarp flying all over the place destroying places........eh. I would've liked to see Soundwave though......maybe he'll be in Escalation somewhere......or Devastation.......hopefully. Now I'm gonna go look for Escalation #4.......

I've only got Infiltration #6, but I totally loved it. I wish I had gotten the others when they had come out, but alas...

As to Soundwave and Shockwave, I think they will make some kind of appearance in Escalation or Devastation since Prime mentions them in Escalation #1. More than likely they will turn the tide of battle somehow.

It really is a great series, but, so are all of the IDW titles (the in continuity ones, that is.... go die, Hearts of Steel.) Escalation is even better, and It's great that all of the titles tie into one another at some point or another.

BTW, Megatron killing Screamer? Easily my favorite Megs moment of all time, a title held by the scene in TFTM ("Such heroic nonsense." BOOM!) for years until Infiltration #6.

Well, he didn't necessarily kill ol' Screamer, just wounded him so he would be in the CR chamber for a few deca-cycles I would imagine......but that hole looked mighty big....then again Megatron did say he would decide what to do w/Starscream if he lived..........

Decepticon Soundwave, you'll be happy to know that shockwave already has his own entire issue in the spotlight series. Check them out, some of the best writin comics i've ever seen. and the art is great in almost all of them. But soundwave also has his own issue coming out in march. and it looks like both of them will apear in the reg. series by the end of devesation.

Call me dumb, but I must've missed the memo. Is Devastation supposed to be like phase 3 after Escalation?

Thanks for that. I already picked up Spotlight Shockwave & thought it was pretty good. If I'm not mistaken, this was supposed to be somewhat like G1 #8 (I think) where the Dinobots battle Shockwave in the past, leaving only his hand visible. Good for the most part. And I cannoptn wait for Spotlight Soundwave.....

Yeah, it's the proposed title for the next story arc.

As I understand it Devastation follows Escalation as Escalation followed Infiltration, the Megatron miniseries will be like Stormbringer was last year filling the 4 months between the two. So if you count Stormbringer and Megatron as arcs in the same continuity then it won't directly follow in release but will follow chronologically. Damn you IDW for making this so complicated. :P

Though it may be complicated, it all ties in at some point, no? At least most of the stories fit in to the ohers, unlike Dreamwave's TF's series......which were all scattered across time........

If you read stuff in the order it comes out, all should make sense. :)

Like Stormbringer and the Spotlights Megatron does take place in the same continuity as Infiltration and Escalation and will tie in to the story.

Wait a minute, where does Bludgeon come in? He's at the end of Spotlight Shockave, & then makes appearances in Stormbringer......what's the connection?

Spotlight Shockwave takes place millions of years before Infiltration/Stormbringer/Escalation.

Ojay I got that, but what is Bludgeon doing at the end of Spotlight Shockwave? Other than getting an order from Megatron to go through Shockwave's files............I'm stumped........

I think it's tied into the Stormbringer arc in that the order that Megs gives Bludgeon is the order to bring Thunderwing back online. That's the connection from what I can tell and that's what led to the events of Stormbringer.
